He is just pure EVIL that not even Freeza can match, and loves coming up with creative and inventive ways to torment his opponents.
Nappa was wearing that hat because he was a Grand Vizier, just like Jafar, duh. But really it's a reference to a scene from way, way back in the beginning of the series where in another flashback King Vegeta asks for Nappa's guidance. In that scene, they had Jafar's hat almost comically poorly photoshopped onto his head, whereas here they actually drew him with the hat from scratch.
In the original movie, Broly's actually under mind control from his father, that's what the headband is. Its why he's so "passive". He has a pre-fight with Goku the night before under mind control, where he goes super saiyan (And his hair is blue due to the taint of the mind control instead of gold).
Vegeta's "fuck it, you have it, just go" is TFS giving another finger to the original movie, where there was an annoying unnecessary sequence where Vegeta was too prideful to give lowly Kakarot and his pals his energy.
Also the reason broly erupted like that is Goku basically hit his old knife wound from when he was a baby out of dumb luck, and he went critical like a reactor.
1:48, as soon as this hit me, I just started thinking of Adam West saying "Oh my God, I love this song. And I love it when amateurs sing the lyrics. But I *hate* baseball cards."
Tfs didn't make that, that was something an old dub said. When vegeta was fighting goku on earth, vegeta said his father created this and how bardock was an incredible scientist. Which isn't true,it was another thing to make goku seem more superman like. Tfs only referenced it,Kaiser liked adding alot of other dub lines as jokes
Lowkey love the fact the dagger breaks on baby Broly. I mean makes sense, kid Goku with a power level of 10-ish was merely bothered by a bullet to the head, now imagine a thousand times stronger.
You know it surprises me that all Goku really had to do was just basically the whole hands of everybody and everybody could have been instant transmission or away from the blowing up planet
I think the baby crying part is maybe because it reminds him the day when all the shit happened 1 not only he couldn’t sleep 2 he got stabbed by king Vegeta and thrown out in the garbage with his lifeless body 3 the planet he was on was in verge of destruction where his fear became his anger/rage
Even then though, why would he associate that trauma with Kakarot? There's no reason for him to have known the name of the baby that had been crying next to him, let alone having retained that association from infancy. Especially since the trauma of that day, which is the part that his infant mind would've remembered, had no relationship to that name.
@gurvmlk in the second Broly movie it was better. He got enrage because of the loud cry of Gohan, not the name he didn't even knew (still weak though, but better)😊
@@Niknemoz A shame the rest of the movie was just not very interesting. Personally, I preferred Bio Broly over Second Coming. Despite Broly being stupidly forced into it for no good reason, it at least had an interesting premise outside of that.
@gurvmlk Yea, Bio Broly is a nice movie, they could pull it off without bringing him at all and it would be very nice. (Could used frieza and king cold DNA, this would make much more sense)
@@Niknemoz Exactly. The premise itself was interesting. I just feel like people hate on the movie for no other reason than because of what it did to Broly, which causes the movie to be widely considered worse than it actually is. Differences between canon timeline and DG future timeline Trunks are staggering. Future Trunks grown up in harsh conditions with single mother hoping to save humanity. Canon Trunks was heavily influenced by Bulma's impression of FT and she spoiled him rotten with all her wealth.
The way I always saw why Goku (Kakarot) crying caused Broly to snap like that, was he was associating the crying to the moment he got stabbed by King Vegeta. It’s still weird, but I’m glad Toriyama decided to write a new backstory for Broly in the Super movie
The trunks that bulma is holding is an entirely new version than the one that's there with them. The future one grew up in a world where the androids were around and he had to become strong because of that. The baby trunks never had to do that. He's gonna grow up in a peaceful time so he's completely different
"Broly hates Kakarot. Because he cried. A lot. For like, three hours." No wonder, Vegeta lost any functionality after hearing such a marvelous backstory.
Yeah. DBZ Broly is pretty much the stupidest "character" in all of anime. His backstory is literal trash, and the whole plot point of "no no these super saiyans are just normal super saiyans, Broly is the actual LEGENDARY one, all the others are just the normal ones!" is just so incredibly stupid, the entire Broly movie sounds like it was stolen straight from some Deviant Art Fanfic. DBZ Broly is pretty much the stupidest piece of anime ever made.

So funny thing, a few weeks ago, there was a Future Trunks & Broly unit (as in the two together as allies) announced in Dokkan Battle. You can bet there were several comments about Broly marrying his princess 😆
Not sure where I heared this but an explaination of why could Goku just kill Broly with a punch is because he hit him exactly where he was stabbed as a baby, it becoming kind of a weakspot like Achilles's heel.
Dragonball super perfectly summed that up with the timeline thing. Its 2 different universes, so technically Trunks travels constantly between 2 universes.
I commented this on another video but I think it’s worth saying here too: Something I think deserves saying regarding to Broly losing it because Goku cried a lot: it’s often forgotten that Z Broly was kinda already a psychopath even for a Saiyan. As battle-hungry and otherwise as normal Saiyans could be, Broly was cranked to 11, so much so that when Paragus wasn’t looking he’d go blow up planets just for kicks; Paragus had to use a device (that headband Broly wears that falls to his collar after he goes Legendary) to mindwash his son to be so passive and timid so he wouldn’t go off the handle. Unfortunately, encountering Goku again broke all those walls down and the rest is history. As much as it’s joked about, the memory of Goku crying was more of a gateway to the flood of memories of nearly being killed and the deranged psychosis he had before we see him fight. DBS Broly is a little different, still has the overwhelming power but has more of a sympathetic backstory and isn’t so crazed as his DBZ counterpart.
Because of the multiverse theorie there is no risk for a paradox for trunks. he traveled to the past but his own timeline will not change because the moment he used his timemachine it created a new timeline alongside the old one. And because cell used one too there are 4 parallel timelines that exist seperately.
One of my favorite things about this abdriged movie is that after hearing "When Broly?" from fans for so long, doing the Broly movie, and having the end song mention it's done and not to ask about Broly anymore, they had a Q&A segment at a convention panel (I don't remember which con it was) and one of the first questions they got was "When Broly 2". The video is up somewhere, assuming it hasn't been deleted.
So multiverse theory time travel is: Think of entering an entirely new dimension. Where everything is exactly the same, the only difference is that it’s 5 minutes into the past (or however long the Time Machine travels into)
19:24 Something to consider. Once Vegeta learns what Broly is in the original movie, he doesn't go fanboy over him, though he still does feel overwhelmed. He freaks out in FEAR! When he fought Frieza, he didn't care how underpowered he was until his pride finally shatters. Here, he wanted to get the hell out! Also (28:50), it took a little longer for him to lend Goku his energy because of his usual pride, even though he was at risk of dying as well.
I always saw the crying thing as a form of mental trauma for Broly seeing as how even though goku was the one crying for so long the first person to come and do something about is grabs broly instead, stabs him, and chucks his down a garbage shoot where he lands on his father and has a front row seat to the end of the world. That would scar a regular man for life ngl so seeing a baby go crazy from it isn't to surprising for me.
They explained it earlier in the series they said it'd alternate time lines so nothing trunks does in this time line actually affects his timeliness *unless I'm Dumb and wrong, it's possible*
The things is, even in the canon Super movies and series they leaned into making Goku even dumber. He stops and asks Frieza about what some words mean that he uses and Frieza just sighs, and rolls with it, almost completely used to it himself.
Ok just to clarify the time travel. So there are 3 time lines in DB. Timeline 1 we dont see, we just knoe trunks killed the Cyborgs, and that is where Cell is from. Timeline 2 is where future Trunks we see is from. And timeline 3 is the series of events we see. With cell and trucks coming to this timeline. So time travelers can change other timelines, but it doesnt effect their own. So trucks coming back to what we see doesnt change his timeline.
I've never seen this and it felt like I were there watching it with you. The part that cracked me up the most was when they were all punching on Broly and it was just a slapping sound...genius!
The Broly song at the end (The Broly Chronicles: Part One) has a full version. Joke lyrics after the main song is done (not invented by me, btw): 🎵Broly! Broly! Bro-ly!!! Why are you so BIIIIG?! Take that crown, Off of your head! And, Use it as a 🐓 riiing!🎵
In the creator comment they said that created a voice recording of Goku asking Pilaf, and it was hilarious, Goku left him traumatized. But because it was going to be a lot to add in they discarded it.
As a TFS joke it's fine, but no, Broly doesn't hate Goku because he cried as a baby, that's a misunderstanding of the original movie that people have. In fact, the original Z Broly movie (at least in the JP script, the dub might change it) doesn't even ever clearly establish that Broly remembers Goku as a baby. Rather, Paragus states that Goku's presence triggers Broly emotionally due to Goku's determination and power ("Does this mean that Broly's instincts as a Saiyan have been awakened by Kakarrot's power?"). The scene of them as babies together was to imply that they have tied destinies ("Broly and kakarrot were born on the say day...Damn! the threads of destiny have once again intertwined..."). Finally, the crying specifically is presented as something to contrast the two characters and show Goku's spirit, where infant Goku's loud wailing made infant Broly sob being a thematic parallel to show Goku's determination and spirit (again, like the first line I mentioned: "Bardock's son, with a battle power of only 2, made Paragas's son cry! His battle power may be low, but that kid...named kakarott at least has a lot of guts!") in spite of his low innate power, in contrast to Broly's emotional weakness and instability despite his huge innate power ("He's just been born, and yet his battle power is already 10,000"_
6:51 the songs from the predator line is being raised by the genius woman and Piccolo and go ahead when he comes, but then in the future timeline, you’re correct and a little bit of future trunks
Goku saying he’s starving after chi chi asks for a divorce is a reference to Dragonball where young goku thought chi chi was asking about food when she ask goku to merry her.
Fun fact: on the channel Fourstar bento, the creators added a drawn seen with pilaf and goku It wasn't added because they did have the time and people to make it back then
So Wen Broly is an inside joke with TeamFourStar and the comment section asking when they are making Broly. It was so constant and Lanis (voice of Vageta Krillen Piccolo and Popo) favorite comment regarding Broly was "Wen Broly". They even used this joke in the Abridigimon movie which was in itself a joke. It was an April fools joke people thought they actually posted the Broly movie because they used the Broly movie thumbnail and titled it as such. But it was really the Abridgimon Movie and they made the Wen Broly joke there as well. They then proceeded to post the real Broly movie a week later. Splitting it into 3 parts before they posted the full version in January the next year.
Pretty much why people like Broly is just because of how cool he is, and this often overshadows even his weak motivations and backstory. I mean he was portrayed as a literal juggernaut, absolutely destroying everyone and that's what people appreciate most about him.
I’ve always loved the OG Broly he’s one of the most popular characters of all time but so many people hate this character but it’s mainly because of the story where goku crying caused Broly to hate him but I always try to tell people you can love a really awesome character without caring about the backstory, don’t let a dumb backstory stop you from loving a really awesome character.

Well speaking as a 32 year I...uhh...yeah I've...uhh never seen that before...yeah...
And Super Broly is like 50? And he acts even younger lol
@@orbboom6119 to be fair super broly never really had any interactions with someone who didn't want to manipulate him for 50 years
I was totally expecting the Cell VS. Matches, but always glad to see Broly
The best, if not tied for the best, abridged movie.
"Well now you have more options for the otherworld tournament coming up."
“That’s fucked up man.”
Those who don’t get it: That Tournament uses warriors that are dead. All of South Galaxy is now eligible to enter.
The other world tournament wouldve been funny abridged, especifically the hell scene, tho i guess they're doing that with HFIL now
@@orbboom6119 Slug vs Guru lets go
@@Crocogator I like to imagine an Offscreen Victory for Guru.
@@PopeDuwang No explanation whatsoever. Just is in the next bracket.
I like that Kaiser dubbed in the sounds of trees being ripped out of the ground for Broly's movements.
In the original movie, Broly's actually under mind control from his father, that's what the headband is. Its why he's so "passive". He has a pre-fight with Goku the night before under mind control, where he goes super saiyan (And his hair is blue due to the taint of the mind control instead of gold).
ALL HAIL PRINCESS TRUNKS
Vegeta's "fuck it, you have it, just go" is TFS giving another finger to the original movie, where there was an annoying unnecessary sequence where Vegeta was too prideful to give lowly Kakarot and his pals his energy.
Goku: Thanks, best buddy.
Vegeta: No.
The scientist Bardock, who created the artificial moon technique according to TeamFourStar canon.
I think the baby crying part is maybe because it reminds him the day when all the shit happened
1 not only he couldn’t sleep
2 he got stabbed by king Vegeta and thrown out in the garbage with his lifeless body
3 the planet he was on was in verge of destruction where his fear became his anger/rage
Because aside from that, the idea of somebody wanting to call out Mr. Satan for his bullshit by using biologically engineered super soldiers isn't a terrible premise.
My friend did the voice of Mina (Pinky), Thirteen (Space Suit Woman), and Midoria's Mom in the Team Four Star abridged in 5 minute short. She's amazing, Katy Johnson, just starting to make it in voice acting.
He's so cool.... But that's SO DUMB!
Yeah of course, that's why he's the most popular movie villain to the point he's crowbarred into every game, alt media, and they made no less than 2 expies of him in Super to cash in on his popularity.
@@EskChan19
@@EskChan19 yeah he is just what meatheads love, and what ppl think of when they think dbz, ppl that havent watched the show

no its not the super saiyan had become a diluted concept given EVERYONE HAD IT so how is making one character the actual realization of that legend when the entire legend is already diluted with it being a bargain sail to anyone with saiyan blood
stop disrespecting this movie until you have gained higher comprehension skills
So funny thing, a few weeks ago, there was a Future Trunks & Broly unit (as in the two together as allies) announced in Dokkan Battle. You can bet there were several comments about Broly marrying his princess 😆
Oh boy this is one of the best dbza movies the blend of dbza's comedy and Z broly's story is so good so many hilarious moments
Not sure where I heared this but an explaination of why could Goku just kill Broly with a punch is because he hit him exactly where he was stabbed as a baby, it becoming kind of a weakspot like Achilles's heel.
Dragonball super perfectly summed that up with the timeline thing. Its 2 different universes, so technically Trunks travels constantly between 2 universes.
to this day i still love how TFS implied here that in DBZA canon Broly would have ended Cell with greatest of ease XD
i mean thats true even in the actual series lol.
Cell was going to destroy the solar system and Broly destroyed a galaxy, yeahhh thats a big difference lol
No cap, when Goku met Chichi as kids she asked him to marry her one day and he agreed immediately because he thought it was some kind of food.
Nappa's dressed like Jafar because hes the Grand Visir like Jafar was
Tao's interaction with Goku is probably the most canonically accurate moment throughout all of DBZA.
I commented this on another video but I think it’s worth saying here too:
Something I think deserves saying regarding to Broly losing it because Goku cried a lot: it’s often forgotten that Z Broly was kinda already a psychopath even for a Saiyan.
20:02 - This part always gets to me (lol) It is an awesome callback to all the times Vegeta said it to Freeza.
A taste of his own Medicine 😅
"My man changed the saturation spectral" by far the funniest thing I ever heard in my entire life 😂😂😂
Markiplier was originally considered to voice Broly but couldn’t because of his schedule.
Can you imagine how he would play Broly?
His voice would have been perfect
WE WERE ROBBED
Helloooo everybody, my name is Brolyplier!
Man, how history repeats itself.
Can't book that mf for SHIT.
That happens alot 😂
The fanboying Vegeta was the underrated comedy I didn't expect but I welcome it completely.
the muffled "I am Saiyan, HA HA" gets me every time
One of my favorite things about this abdriged movie is that after hearing "When Broly?" from fans for so long, doing the Broly movie, and having the end song mention it's done and not to ask about Broly anymore, they had a Q&A segment at a convention panel (I don't remember which con it was) and one of the first questions they got was "When Broly 2".
The video is up somewhere, assuming it hasn't been deleted.
This wil easily remain to be the best TFS movie there is. Vegeta's whole rant about broly being so cool, but also so dumb is just the best ever.
So multiverse theory time travel is:
Think of entering an entirely new dimension. Where everything is exactly the same, the only difference is that it’s 5 minutes into the past (or however long the Time Machine travels into)
21:05 a rare showing of Goku knowing a word that Gohan didn't
19:24
Something to consider.
Vegeta:how many pushups did he do
What kind of juice did he drink
Me:he ate a super mushroom plus steroids
"Don't worry son, I think it's your movie next time."
The Broly song at the end (The Broly Chronicles: Part One) has a full version.
Joke lyrics after the main song is done (not invented by me, btw):
🎵Broly!
Broly!
Bro-ly!!!
Why are you so BIIIIG?!
Take that crown,
Off of your head!
And,
Use it as a 🐓 riiing!🎵
xD He dodged a bullet and completely avoided a time paradox thanks to multiverse theory. Same you, yet not the same you!
In the creator comment they said that created a voice recording of Goku asking Pilaf, and it was hilarious, Goku left him traumatized. But because it was going to be a lot to add in they discarded it.
See what Chi-Chi shouldve told them was that Goku is a world martial arts champion
To be fair, I’d get violently angry too if a baby started crying for three hours.
6:51 the songs from the predator line is being raised by the genius woman and Piccolo and go ahead when he comes, but then in the future timeline, you’re correct and a little bit of future trunks
the fucking meat slaps are so funny dude.
And the captions added on to it- _(Piccolo and Goku struggling to hit Broly)_
Goku saying he’s starving after chi chi asks for a divorce is a reference to Dragonball where young goku thought chi chi was asking about food when she ask goku to merry her.
Its also hilarious that the Shamoshions safe word was Broccoli since Broly is the Saiyan naming for Broccoli.

Broly is so strong because goku cried is an amazing factual joke
16:29 this part always had me dying 😂
All Hail Princess Trunks!!!
Fun fact: on the channel Fourstar bento, the creators added a drawn seen with pilaf and goku
It wasn't added because they did have the time and people to make it back then
So Wen Broly is an inside joke with TeamFourStar and the comment section asking when they are making Broly.
