I don’t kinda agree with you, I mean I get what are you saying but think about this, The way he cares about her is more like a parent, He carried and drank the Chamomile tea like how parent carries the stuff that a child gives, He protects her but doesn’t what to protect. It’s like He is done with this blood, gun and stuff because he is alright at the top of game. He says to stand up and kill me at the end because he wants her to win? But makes it difficult as well! This film was a masterpiece .. very hard for viewer and professionally worked on by creators and actors .... really no words .. and questions left. Park Hee Soon is out of comparison ... your edit is cool
Part of it probably was revenge on her father for betraying him. Also like he said in order to kill someone you need to have conviction. She is the perfect candidate to go undercover as a spy in the police force and remain loyal to him and the organization, as long as she believes that someone in the police killed her father. He wanted to use her to gain intel and also to take out the Chief, both because he was after him and because he was the one who sent Jiwoo’s father into the gang in the first place. Having Jiwoo believe that the Chief was the one who killed her father was the perfect motivator for her to kill him. And it’s not like he planned on taking her in from the beginning, she came looking for him and he turned her away at first. Only later did he decide to use her. I believe if she hadn’t come looking for him that one time he would’ve left her alone. I also think part of him always wanted her to find out the truth, he longed for her to feel a similar kind of betrayal he felt and he relished in it.
I know he was evil and way too old for her but god damn I shipped these two so bad. Honestly she had chemistry with everyone, it was mostly toxic but I love toxic ships for some reason. I do believe he really loved her, whether it was romantic or as a father idk. I believe he truly was sorry for hurting her but he resigned himself to the fact in the end.

I can’t accept the fact that he never loved her, he loved her with all his heart but he knew that when she finds out he was the killer of her father she will end up killing him.

He raised the daughter of the one who betrayed him! Probably as a revenge. He trained her and sent to work as a police officer just like her father but opposite, but then he actually fell for her probably because she was the only one who was loyal to him. And i think he didnt want to loose her, that's why he asked her to wrap things up and come back to him when she start to dig on his fathers murder case. He knew she's gonna come after him anyway, but he just didnt want to loose her. Because in the end he ended up betraying the only one who stayed loyal to him.
Tbh whoever is saying they had a romantic tension between them...like come on bruh- Yes they had really good chemistry but not in a romantic way, jiwoo knew him from highschool and he helped her to became what she was, thats why she had respect, loyalty and admiration for him. But he was her father's friend, a romantic angel is very weird. Some are saying about body language and the look, but i didn't find them romantic enough to be called so. Their relationship was not anything in particular. So it cannot be named anything specifically. He helped her becoming strong and bold so that she can take revenge and she stayed loyal to him even in many danger. Also the fact that choi mujin gave her protection from when she was only 17 and became a safe Shadow for her through out the time, she had by then build a deep connection with him spiritually too. For her the scenerio stood out as the revenge is not only her but mujin will also be avenged for his close friend if her father's killer is found and killed. They had strong determination and each other's back in their relation but still an exact name can't be given and it never stood out as a romantic one. I really liked him. I mean though i kinda hate him but still loved him cause from his place he was not wrong. It was rather normal and heartbreaking from his side. And if i see from the position of jiwoo then the hate is also very justified. If we see it from the pov of Law then we know who was at responsible but if we see it from the pov of both the individuals then it's rather entangled and unsure. They were PLATONIC in the NEXT LEVEL! Yes they had like each other but when eventually things started ti unravel both of them were ready to kill each other. Though he was telling her to stand up many time and fight with he also pulled the trigger! He had said it many time either one of them had to die to end these. He was kinda hurt but also not abstract from the reality, he knew he had to kill her for their organization or she will kill him and was also willing to kill her in the last scene. But that car thing* shouldn't have happened at the last episode 😭😭(if ykyk)
ppl are so against us saying that they had chemistry and not as a father daugher one, when they are the ones who will watch fictional stories or read fictional books including age gap
I think this could be one of the best series if it had 1 or 2 more seasons with more clarification, it lacked clarity in some important points. Maybe they wanted us to assume few things in our way but isn’t it Too much assumption? 1. Jiwoo and pildo's romantic relationship wasn’t giving anything ☹️ it was boring i would say 2. Why would donghoon stay with the organisation for 5 years if he already had all the evidences against choi mujin? ( i mean he was a cop and he eyewitnessed everything.... So???) 3. Why did choi mujin lie all this years just to get the bald policeman killed by jiwoo and then changed his mind and told his men to kill him? 🤷♀️ what was the whole point? 3. At some point i felt like this whole movie was about betrayal and not solely about revenge. Like donghoon betrayed mujin, mujin betrayed jiwoo, jiwoo betrayed the policemen, pildo felt betrayed by jiwoo then jiwoo betrayed mujin and didn’t go to him and the mujin killed her boyfriend... Like everyone is betraying everyone but only mujin was the one crying about it 😂 and here it lacked clarity again 4. What on the earth was mujin doin with jiwoo?? I mean this makes no sense. At first i thought he loved her or smth but then i rewatched it 3 times and no i don't think he ever loved her. ( i shipped them so hard after my first watch 😭) And honestly the story would be much more interesting if he had fallen in love with her or she had fallen in love with mujin. 😂 but neither of them was anything near romantic . But few scenes were confusing where it seemed like mujin had feelings for her. Then why Did he tried to destroy this girl's whole life and clearly he almost killed her in the last scene 😡 Biggest lacking of clarification 5. Sometimes it felt like choi mujin is the main character of the series but he wasn’t in the theme song, so definitely he wasn’t the main character then why his emotional aspects were more clarified than jiwoo's. Jiwoo was just an emotionless kid who wanted to kill someone that's all 🤦♀️ 6. And the most important thing that i don't understand is how on the earth they made this hottest guy the villain in a one season series and killed him in the last episode as if he were a random dude no one cared about ( i care about him, i love him, i cried for himm, if there were 100 seasons with choi mujin in it, i would watch all of them without blinking 😡)
I refuse to believe he hated her. He loved her with all his heart despite knowing she will end him the second she finds out the truth. Tragic
you really have to watch it a second time to notice how much he loved her despite his better judgement...

Should be more scene choi mujin and jiwoo.
ppl are so against us saying that they had chemistry and not as a father daugher one, when they are the ones who will watch fictional stories or read fictional books including age gap
please recommend movies or dramas like 'my name' i watched the glory btw
I think this could be one of the best series if it had 1 or 2 more seasons with more clarification, it lacked clarity in some important points. Maybe they wanted us to assume few things in our way but isn’t it Too much assumption?
1. Jiwoo and pildo's romantic relationship wasn’t giving anything ☹️ it was boring i would say
2. Why would donghoon stay with the organisation for 5 years if he already had all the evidences against choi mujin? ( i mean he was a cop and he eyewitnessed everything.... So???)
Like everyone is betraying everyone but only mujin was the one crying about it 😂 and here it lacked clarity again
4. What on the earth was mujin doin with jiwoo?? I mean this makes no sense. At first i thought he loved her or smth but then i rewatched it 3 times and no i don't think he ever loved her. ( i shipped them so hard after my first watch 😭)
And honestly the story would be much more interesting if he had fallen in love with her or she had fallen in love with mujin. 😂 but neither of them was anything near romantic .
But few scenes were confusing where it seemed like mujin had feelings for her. Then why Did he tried to destroy this girl's whole life and clearly he almost killed her in the last scene 😡 Biggest lacking of clarification
5. Sometimes it felt like choi mujin is the main character of the series but he wasn’t in the theme song, so definitely he wasn’t the main character then why his emotional aspects were more clarified than jiwoo's. Jiwoo was just an emotionless kid who wanted to kill someone that's all 🤦♀️
It's a song that appeals to people with an ear for music.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love their chemistry than hero
so no one's gonna talk about the edit???
I think mujin thought he was the master gaslighter and manipulator...but he ended up caring for ji woo.
