This is a super interesting analysis of a great film. The way in which a mundane conflict is used to show the way we communicate, and relate to each other is something I love about it
I just figured the movie was about conservatives vs liberals. Both sides didn't show their cards up front but it comes to a head at the end when they learn that can never be friends because of their differences.
and im just a 3rd worlder laughing at 4 rich actors interpreting high class people who say their lifes are misserable while drinking some expensive whiskey and having cigars with that hysteric woman with the savior complex screaming all of the movie about poor kids in africa and how she's better than everyone else. It was fun actually but i hated the abrupt ending , i truly expected the two guys to have a fist fight by the end showing the core reason of the problem being them as unstable parents for each side.
