Hey Austin, I started out on helping other welders with there jobs, learned allot from them. Then went on my own. Labor per hour pays the best Time plus materials makes the best profit. The steel buildings don't make money unless you have everything to do it and there are no problems along the way. And that's all you do is steel buildings and a bunch of them! You know from pipeline that just T & M pays the best. Same for structural welding that it pays the best!! When you take on a job from someone, there is a reason he gave it up. No money in it. Being a good buddy doesn't always work out. Yes you learn from it. In the end you make enough to break even and cover all the expences. You also learn not to take on such job again on a bid price. When you have to go back to fix the sinking post, it's all on you and the little bit of profits get used to fix the mistake. It was a great job that you did on this one, even with fixing the sink post. Get back to the great T&M projects to make profits for your business! You forgot the cost of insurances you have to carry to do business . Worker's compensation and auto. Keep up the good work!!
You are one of my Heros in life through so many hard years. Don't be stressed out Mr . Austin because I don't ever want you to change . Just do good things without being stressed for the guys that love ya ❤
Ross, thank you for the run down on the awesome job that you recently completed. This information is helpful to me and my son that just started welding. Great after-action run-down on the job. 👍🏼
Being the boss and laborer sometime sucks. Lot of stress. There is a lot more to it than most people think. The reward pays off. The feeling is great when you figure a project and it all works out not so much when there are complications. Some people just aren’t bosses. That’s alright.
super stuff, thanks for the tip on that recommended reading. Super helpful tips and tricks for Entrepreneurs and small business owners and contractors.
It kind of seems like to do metal buildings you want to have a designated crew who does them. You just manage logistics/quotes and all the other stuff that comes along with them. I have wanted to dabble in them I have done some small loafing sheds but no buildings. I also live in Oklahoma, I have been watching since you were on the pipeline and I did not know anything about welding.
Thanks for the forecast! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

Thank you for sharing your experiences! I wish more people would do this!
A lot of valuable info in this video, thank you for putting it out there
Great info Austin. Thanks for sharing.
There are premade concrete post foundation that go in the bottom of the hole for the post to sit on.
Always good to get out of you comfort zone once in a while, as long as you don't get burned.
At least it kept you from spending all day in the bars...

Thanks brother look like you lost a lil weight my mad that's import stay healthy keep doing what you like💪💪🙏🙏
Very fair price for my area, should be 3 days of work. 1 day for posts(24 hours to set) one day for framing and sheeting, one day if stuff goes wrong.
If you owe a couple days of welding for use of the skid steer, that's 2 more days of labor cutting into your daily profit

I totally agree about the design team. Thanks for sharing!
You can dry pack or stepping stone in the bottom

Is Skiatook ok. too far for a day worth of work?
Great video thanks for that information
I was shocked at how the post sank and wonder how best to prevent in the future.
I think by packing the bottom of the hole then putting concrete or a brink in the bottom
You can also weld a 5x7 clip on the bottom of the upright or just throw it down in the hole. @@arosswelding
