  • In this video I'm going to show step by step how to remove and replace the Inner CV Axle Boot, I will also show how to rebuild the CV Axle. I did the replacement on a 2010 Volkswagen MK6 GTI. This should be Applicable to the Volkswagens from these years: 2009-2014 - VW MK5/MK6 - MKV/MKVI - GTI/JETTA/GLI

    Your intrusive thoughts when you got the first clamp off and you pulled the boot back “touch the grease” lmao I fall victim to the thoughts every time lol

    Hello. No one shows me this part. this is very helpful !
    Don't you need bead of sealant on the back of the cap of velocity joint ?
    Is there any grease leak around the cap ?
    After this take, how is it ?

      No sealant needed, the grease is thick so it won't leak from a tiny space or gap. the triple square bolts also act as a clamp for the cap, when installed.
      Nah, no leak from around the cap, it's been good.
