I got an ARB mount for my roof rack on my 4Runner. Yes, somewhat pricey but easy to install and very secure. Took it out on a camping trip this past week and it works like a charm. I got a simple rope hoist to haul the 5 gallon up to the roof that I can take with me on trips.
I also bought a jerry can mount for my van and adapted it to the rear door ladder.
Both just took some nuts and bolts. Yes, I wish I could weld.

Awesome. I'm glad you were able to use this video for some ideas.
It's worked out well for me. I use regular ratchet straps to secure the cans down with no issues.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.

You'll be surprised how easy they are to find.
I'm still using this on my roof rack and it's been awesome.

I am looking forward to using this mount, mostly for water, but at times for fuel as well!!
Let me know what you think of the mount.
