Can't wait for your projects videos. They are exactly the ones on my 'Shopping List'. Aslo the LED to indicate the state of the MAster ON/OFF isolator is one I'm keen to replicate. I am also thinking of installing a a better/more informative meter to indicate the battery voltage.
What rear view camera are you going with. We have the Auto Vox solar 4 and it's really is fantastic. Camera is charged from a small solar panel stuck on the van roof. Completely wire less to the monitor on the dash.
Thanks for the catch up Dan, hope you had a good break, really looking forward to the TV input video. Everyone assumes that the external TV point is an input and it will be so good to be able to plug into a bollard via that ! 👍👍
Brecon Cathedral is worth a visit. Hay on Wye castle is too. Don’t forget the Penderyn distillery. Definitely the mountain railway and the canal boat trips. You’ll need to stay longer, best wishes.
Evening Dan Gaynor motor museum is nice. We stopped on a lovely CL site this past year near the edge of Stratford called Hampton House Farm. I believe it was 17.50 a night with power for two adults. Really cleaver entrance gate as well. You give the owners your mobile number and they pop it in the gates system and you call the number and the gate will open to let you in. Brilliant.
Lovely walkfrom Brecon Beacons site into Brecon alongside canal path. Lovely town very dog friendly, quite a big Nepalese community with Ghurka regiment stationed nearby
I think the monthly update vlogs are a great idea. We had 2 holidays in crickhowell last summer, which is close to Brecon, there's lots to see and do in that area. Brecon itself is pleasant. The sugarloaf vineyard near Abergavenny us great for lunch and wine tasting.
Lovely update, thanks for sharing. Would rather be watching you and others from the caravan vlogging community than anything a licence fee gets you, so keep them coming! Love an early year booking and planning session, really sets you up for the year. Enjoy, keep the content coming and we'll keep watching :)
Enjoyed looking at your future plans. Living in the Brecon beacons area we will look foward to your visit in March. My wife and I have been caravaning for over 30 years and we are now on our 7th caravan which is a Bailey Unicorn V Cabrera, which we love. I would recomend a visit to Llangors Lake and a trip on the canal with our friend Tim. Brecon has plenty of places to eat try the Brecon Tap or our local pub the Black Cock Inn in Llanfihangel Talyllyn. Would love to meet you both if we are not away in our van. Keep the monthly vlogs going as we enjoy seeing what you are up to. Miss the Morleys vlogs.
Great video Dan. Just wondering how do you get on with travelling from a CAMC site to a nearby CAMC site? As you Have to leave by 11am but not allowed to arrive at the next site before 1pm.
We have the same water system arrangement in our Unicorn Cartagena. I've replaced the by-pass valve with a solenoid and fitted a couple of LEDs for "Full" and "Empty" levels via float switches. It's much easier than rooting around under the furniture.
Great video Dan, love the content. A few of your 2024 sites are local to us too and will be interested in your updates. Will try and add some recommends. 👍

Hi Dan we are booked for Clubfest last year was fantastic and this year we are only 35 miles away from home yes Jason is there but the best one is ELO experience they are fantastic and the only tribute act that Jeff Lynne given their blessing hope to catch with both of you
In Brecon I can recommend the Mountain Railway there. I spent my 18th birthday week back in 1980 helping set this up when it first opened. Also a trip along the canal if the weather is good. I’d appreciate the monthly updates, but appreciate it’s more work for you. Looking forward to the mod videos, especially the rear view camera that we are considering for our Challenger 650.
Good idea to get a rearview camera, we find ours very useful. Yeah, our Bailey had an internal tank and was such a nightmare to use, we never bothered.. Always interested in updates..
Hike up to Pen-y-fan whilst in Brecon Beacons. The views at the top are amazing on a clear day. Take a canal boat ride in Brecon. Crickhowell is a lovely picturesque town to visit. Amazing Sunday lunch @ The Old Ford Inn. Enjoy your stay in Wales.
Hi Dan. Hope you enjoy your first outing in the new van with Angela. Hope it all goes to plan! I am interested in your monthly videos going forward. Plus all the projects to enhance van life interest me. We went to a Henley a few years ago and found the phone signal very poor (it was mentioned in the site notes so we were aware before we booked). It was fun hanging out of the van window in a contorted way to get a signal! Dave Birmingham
Hi Dan, really looking forward to how you get on with 8ft wide Twin Axle as we are taking the plunge in Feb! Put Knaresborough on your list. A long way for you guys, I know. Stayed at the CMHC site. Such a lovely town, lots to see in the area Fountains Abbey was simply stunning. Hope you are Angela are enjoying your beautiful new van.
Hi Dan, hope your first trip is going well and everything is working as it should. As we have the same van I am really keen to see all your projects being done. I also am currently looking at a rear view camera for an upcoming trip to Europe. Any chance of a clue to which camera system you are looking at. I am currently considering a Falcon system and an Auto Vox system that someone had on a campsite last year.
Hi, yes I bought the Falcon system. It was fitted today and I’m super happy with it. Have a look at my instagram profile there is a couple of images of the install on their. 👍
Wow my coachman onboard tank is a pain sometimes but at least I just press a button and it fills and knows when it’s full! That said our settings are all over the place and recently it’s stopped working and caused our dealers a massive headache getting the settings from the manufacturer.
Hi Dan we have just come back after 10 days trialling out our new caravan in Moreton in Marsh, would have been nice to meet you. Regarding your TV set up , do you have the spare cable from the external box at the TV booster because in our Pamplona we did and all we had to do was swap the input from TV aerial to the feed coming in from the outside box. As we have recently changed vans to the new Pegasus GT75 Messina we actually had that cable fitted and it's a breeze. Good luck with your new Evora. Gaz
Lots planned for 2024, so exciting. We love Tewkesbury, especially the 9…! Indian restaurants..... 😂 What a faff to use and fill your onboard water tank.... We just recently upgraded to an Elddis crusader super cyclone 2016 with a 40ltre onboard water tank. Very easy to use, no faffing. And a auto switch off. Shame on you Bailey, and a newer caravan..... There's only two of us, people say to us why such a big caravan. Just wanted a bit of luxury and comfort in our old age.... Lol. Love your vlogs, enjoy your travels ❤️
We have same onboard tank as you in our Elddis and it works brilliantly 40L plus then we have the aqua roll that’s 50L so will last us for long wkends away with having to fill up regularly!
@@luciocancellara4995 same, we have a 50ltre waterhog too, last day I fill up the onboard water tank pack the fresh water away and take the pump out. That gives us enough for two showers and washing up. The design for filling the onboard water tank is very easy, glad I don't have to worry about over filling. The sencor does that for me 👍🏻
Brecon is a beautiful place, Plenty of places like the Royal Welsh regimental museum or the canal basin. Or visit Abergavenny further down the road and you have the skirrid inn the most haunted pub in wales, not far from the pandy CAMC site or there is the sugar loaf vineyard
I have the Alicante Grande Porto Series 2. I had the Truma AC unit transfered from a series 1 Porto. I asked the supplying Bailey dealership to check with Truma if would fit. Truma supplied photos showing a trial fitting they had carried out. The work was completed without any issues and it performed well throughout last summer. The AC unit is the Aventa Compact Plus.
Dan - just a heads up re Broadway and the steam railway. Curently work is going on with the Stanway viaduct so line is closed north of Toddington.. Check before you travel Dave
Hi Dan... Good video thanks... Henley... Greys court is a good visit and Russell's water for walks as an alternative to a River stroll. Could you help out with something as I'm not good with electrics. In a previous video I think you said not to charge the leisure battery whilst connected to the caravan as the other systems on board may not like it.... but you did connect directly this time... is that because its through the Jackery and perhaps that uses a lower voltage !
Hi. Yes sure I can answer that. The caravan was off, so other systems wouldn’t draw any power. However, the charger and solar controller did fight it out to which one actually provided the charge. The issue with this is, the solar controller will see a “charged” battery and not supply any voltage. This “charge” is actually the power from the battery charger. The same can happen vice versa too, so they both give up in the end. Thankfully I connected battery charger just as the sun went down, so it worked.
@@TheTrudgians Hey 👋 thanks Dan... have a great season.. P S concierge site is very good.... but road traffic noise all night is bad 👎. Bosham Harbour.. Southdowns.. plus many other great villages and places to visit... really enjoyed our three weeks on the area... cycling and walking
I fitted an external tv socket on our Bailey Pegasus Grande Rimini, connected to an additional socket on the existing 12volt/tv socket. I used f type sockets, as used on satellite connections, which means I can connect our portable satellite dish, or by using a f to coax ice adaptor connect to the site antenna system.
Honestly, the only reason I would be booking a site locally would be to test out a new van, other than that I want beaches. So we have a new van, we'll be booking something within 10 miles for the weekend, next will be the Welsh Coast, East Coast, South West Coast, and after than who knows, but we plan the NC500 eventually, followed by Ireland, and Europe.
Black Country museum is excellent, highly recommended. Right alongside this, connected and I think it might be a small extra cost is the Dudley Canal Tunnel which I really recommend doing while there for the full experience of that part of history. Nearby the Severn Valley Railway a good day out too.
Hi Dan and Angela if you have have the time when in Broadway you must visit Broadway tower it's amazing and the views from the top are stunning hope you are both well best wishes Ian and Jill
Hi Dan, loved the update, we are down at Cirencester in the summer for a week it will be great to get some recommendations of things to do around the area with a 10 year old and a 14 year old. If you don’t mind a little journey when your in the Brecon Beacons then I suggest the Royal Mint experience, we went last year and it was really good they even let us touch some coins “hot off the press” that had not been touched by anyone before.
Have you tried, Horsley Camping and Caravanning Club Site. Lots of stuff around. Wesley gardens. Brooklands museum. 2/3 national trust sites on the doorstep aswell
In Brecon, you probably know but you can come out of the site, cross the main road and then drop down some steps onto the canal tow path. Head towards Brecon for the town. Head the other way and you can walk over an aqueduct and the next village is Pencelli (where there’s a nice site too) and a nice pub with a beer garden on the towpath.
B.c.l.m is superb especially the fish and chips also a pint of local beer in the bottle and glass pub and a trip on the electric barge through the dudley tunnel so much too see and do they might let you leg the barge in the tunnel.
In Henley, The Angel on the Bridge pub for a nice glass of something right on the river. If you're hiring a boat, go upriver to Wargrave and there is the George and Dragon again right on the river. We're at Cotswold View early May Bank Holiday. It'll be our first trip in our brand new van after upgrading from outer trusty trailer tent.
First thing I'll say for the Brecons is The Brecon Mountain Railway. Somewhere else I can wholeheartedly suggest is Tynllwyn Caravan and Camping Park in Bryncrug, just on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park, with the world's first preserved railway (the Talyllyn Railway) running right by the campsite

Hi Dan another good vlog, lots of projects lined up (a man after my own heart) looking forward to the fitting of a rear view camera. I fitted one myself and can honestly say its a worthwhile investment, if you ever get time to view our vlog (re the camera) I would be really interested in your opinion, cheers 👍
It was your video that encouraged me to get one on board. In fact, I’ve been watching all your vids lately and especially the French your. You can guess what 2025 gas in store for us 😉
Ha, this will be a topic for a future video, but possibly winter caravanning is my favourite. It’s warm, cosy and gets us out of the house. Today we enjoyed a winter walk, a cuppa in a tea shop, then an afternoon of chilling before tucking into a lasagne. Honestly, you should try it. We’ve always done it. It’s brilliant.
Good times! Have you ever tried a different part of the country - ie Norfolk/Lincs/Notts etc?? Seems like Angela has major issues with time off work? Time to give up????
Can't wait for your projects videos. They are exactly the ones on my 'Shopping List'. Aslo the LED to indicate the state of the MAster ON/OFF isolator is one I'm keen to replicate. I am also thinking of installing a a better/more informative meter to indicate the battery voltage.

The mighty national park. Brecon beacons. Hike up Pen y Fan horseshoe, go to see the waterfalls, walk around it, and maybe have a swim!
We are off to brecon beacons for the first time in June if you find a good eatery please let me know we have never been
Try the Regimental Museum of 24th Regiment in Brecon (Zulu!) and also Brecon Cathedral
