From my understanding and experience i would say dating a girl that has a healthy relationship and a good bond with her father is the safest bet you can make.
That's funny, I just saw a popular tweet on twitter getting a lot of hate by some women for mentioning that's something to look for immediately when dating a girl.
And I think you can imagine what type of girls and women were just absolutely enraged by that..
Let me tell you from personal experience YOU ARE SOO RIGHT. I've only had the privilege of being in a relationship with one woman who had a good relationship with her dad and her dad was one of those Alpha male men. if she didn't move away for school I would have married her. I've never met such a emotionally balanced woman who wasn't entitled in my life until I met her. She didn't have any real expectations of me because she could take care of herself and plus she let me be the MAN and didn't fight me for the role like 90% of women do today. It was the easiest relationship I've ever been in. If you can find a woman like that and you want to get married DO IT. Don't wait. Trust me you will be glad you did.

A lot of women simply have to be the center of attention and can't stand it when anyone or anything else takes attention away from them. Oh, and I agree with Stu's rugby observation; as a lifetime NFL fan, I've been checking out Rugby recently and I see many similarities (well, between American football before the forward pass) between the two.

TRUTH! This goes far beyond the NFL. if you show passion and excitement more so than you do you own wife/girlfriend, she will become very bitter after a while. Look at car guys, musicians, artists, guys who build things, video games, sports freaks etc. If a guy is super passionate about it, she will eventually get ticked off because they feel they are being neglected even though that's not what is happening. A guy is simply escaping his life for a couple of hours. Been married for over 20 years and the one thing I have noticed about relationships over all this time is you find married men with ZERO hobbies/major interests other than what the wife wants, and men who do have a major hobby , but have to work double time to make their wives feel secure.

Don't you love it how Bill describes the ability to appreciate the simple things in life, to appreciate where you are and who you are as "dumb"? And being in a constant state of social competition where you're never happy if "complex"? And of course the audience falls for it. Bill is the master at sneaker disclaimers.
He does this in his stand up, he'll talk about double standards when it comes to domestic violence and just as the audience gets uncomfortable he'll point it out and say "I know I'm pretty ignorant" and relieve the tension so everyone feels okay thinking about the issue. It's depressing anyone has to do this in the country that basically invented free speech as an inalienable right.
People act like women are the ones who are sentimental and are the ones who fall in love easily. If you're an artist or a musician do the following: one birthday or Christmas paint a picture for your girlfriend or write her a song... then the following birthday or Christmas get her a piece of jewelry for $1,000 and watch the difference in reactions. It's the same as what Bill is saying here, most men could be happy doing literally anything as long as they're with the person they love. Women need some sort of grand gesture. I'm talking in generalities of course and there are exceptions in both cases but it's just weird how these myths get started about the sexes that are SO far from reality. Ask most girls about them too and they'll say they've noticed it about other girls and about guys, that things are back to front than how movies and TV portray them. But now I'm babbling. Bill always sets me off.

Like 15 years ago I was in a bar in Easton, Pennsylvania. I happened to be extraordinarily jacked up at the time (no steroids or anything crazy like that, just eating good and lifting and naturally built up), and this random dude comes up to me trying to recruit me for his team in the "Greater Lehigh Valley Rugby Football Association". He handed me this printed postcard with contact information, a schedule of the upcoming games, and I distinctly remember at the bottom it stated that all games were followed by a social gathering at some Irish-sounding pub in Allentown. I never bothered following up, because despite being a brick shithouse at the time, the entirety of my athletic background to date was tennis and baseball, but I regret not giving it a go because it seems like it could've been fun.

I was raised by a single mom with 8 siblings but my mom loves sports. I played basketball for 6 years but even so my husbands friends always tell me I’m “different”. Tbh I’m an introverted artist so when my husband has his friends over I chill on my own and freaking enjoy it. I don’t need to be seen every 5 seconds I prefer having alone time also. I also had no girl friends growing up and even now. They talk about my looks and “oh you’re so pretty” and all that bs and it has no depth. My only girl friends are my 4 sisters and we’re the same in a lot of ways. I can’t imagine being the clingy woman. I love my husband but dear god if I had to be stuck with him all day everyday breathing down each others neck I’d probably be on crime watch (jokes).

One of the biggest problems is women acting like men while demanding men to be more like women, and a lot of men did that without the women telling them to do that. With gender being a confusing issue, society is kinda falling apart ..or at least it kinda feels that way to me...=/

NFL is crazy popular, there are plenty of women who are legit into watching the sport. Bill just happened to find a girlfriend who isn't.
girls can't get along but they find solstice being with men because everyone is a comrade. There's a sort of trust and loyalty in brotherhood that you don't see in sisterhood. There's a famous video of a woman who crossdressed as a male (i dont know if she was LGBT but I digress) and she said similar things. It was depressing being a man for about months for her. Men have it a lot worse, there's more pressure too.
Yeah, she was a lesbian. Her getting depressed was mostly from her not being herself, and having taken on the alternate identity of "Ned" for so long. But yeah, she did say at the end of it all, that she felt like men, in spite of not being as open in terms of affection and emotional stuff, were more inclusive and tolerant to each other than women were, in her own experience as a lesbian woman.

I'd say of all the girls I've met, it's pretty much 50-50.
One side is sane and understanding, the other is just communal narcissistic bitches appearing as angels who care about everything and everyone, but they just use people to feed their colossal ego.
Thankfully, I've met few of those. Most have been incredibly witty, fun and overall just decent human beings. At least, my experience with communals now helps me to see them coming.

That's what it's all about, they want to be the center of attention, to the point where they'll get jealous of your hobbies. (I know a guy whose girlfriend smashed his guitars up out of jealousy and a few of my exes used to get mad that I'd work on a project of mine. But... it was me being into art and music and computer science that attracted her in the first place.)
The girl in this video seems like she wouldn't do this (edit: and it seems other people have noticed too! You aren't alone, I know like 4 girls just like you. But yeah, you and they are pretty rare. Just down to Earth girls who can talk about stuff objectively and on a deeper level that "ME LOVE FACEBOOK AND SHOE!!!") but 8/10 girls do NOT want their boyfriend to have fun without them. But try doing that back to them and I guarantee you'd suddenly be considered a controlling maniac. I remember having a crappy night out with my friends (all guys) and I mentioned it to my girlfriend at the time when I got in and I thought I was being paranoid when she seemed weirdly happy. She was trying to hide it though. Then like a month later I went out with them again and it was amazing. When I saw her she didn't ask if I had fun she asked "so was it terrible again?" and when I said "no, it was great" she GOT MAD. She started saying "so you have a great time without me, that's wonderful" and it turned into a fight.
I hate saying this because it's sort of sexist but (and I bet the girl in this video sees this since she doesn't seem scared of criticizing women) the amount of times this has happened to me and the number of girls who act like this, and I hear my friends ALL describing the same thing, I feel like a lot of women lack self awareness when it comes to criticizing their own behavior.
Another example with another girl is she kept talking about male celebrities that she thought were hot and literally two seconds later I said something like "I don't find many female celebrities hot but I do like..." and mentioned like 2 that I liked and SHE FREAKED OUT and said "you're listing women you find attractive in front of me? Are you stupid?" I said "yeah... you were just doing it about guys, I thought we were having a conversation..." and her face went completely blank! She said "I didn't think of it like that" and where I might seem sexist is how common I've noticed this kind of thing is. Like 8/10 girls I've dated will do or say something that is an obvious double standard and when you point it out they'll go "I never thought of that!" and these are intelligent with great jobs, degrees etc but the whole idea that women have more empathy and are socially intelligent and "complex" as Bill put it, it just isn't true in my experience.
The worst thing I've experienced with guys (before someone says guys do it too) is they'll behave in ways that are bad and they'll apply double standards but they'll be aware of it, they'll know they're doing it. So what the hell is this inability for women to criticize themselves? Or maybe it's just a coincidence and I and every man I know have all, coincidentally, dated crazy girls? I think it might just be the fact that most women have most people agreeing with them, or at least most guys just nod along with what they say and do because they want to fuck them. And so they aren't well versed in taking criticism or in criticizing their own beliefs and thoughts. They first thing I do and I know my friends do this, when I have a thought, is criticize it, try to pick it apart and destroy it myself. That way if I bring it up during a discussion or argument I won't look like an idiot.
It's so strange and it's alarming how common it is. When you find a girl who doesn't do this, a girl who is able to criticize herself (because WHY do women invade male hobbies? Why, when a guy goes out does the woman say "while you're out can you pick up..." Don't they notice that guys don't do this?) and other women and men too you need to hold onto her. They're pretty rare, especially today.
By the way there's this amazing video that shows this exact "phenomenon" in real life on video (in case someone thinks I'm making it up) where a guy asks 10 girls whether they'd judge a guy for being short, they all say "yeah, I wouldn't date him no matter what, he's too short" and the guy then asks "is it okay to turn a girl down because she's overweight?" and all the girls say "no! It's what's on the inside that matters!" and the guy points out the double standard that they're judging a guy for something he can't control but they're also saying it's bad for guys to judge someone for something they CAN control. ALL the girls, bar one say "wow, I didn't realize! I never thought of it like that!" HOW? He asked the questions back to back!
Wow, this comment is long and rambling like a crazy person but subjects like this really set me off. I'm tired of how many double standards there are and how many myths there are and how easily an audience will laugh off someone saying all guys are "dumb" but can you imagine if he said women were "dumb"? The audience would've sat in complete silence. It's all so fucking boring, especially when everyone pretends they're all for equality.
Don't be afraid to call women on their bullshit or fear being seen as sexist. You can't speak the truth about them and not be seen as sexist in a woman's eyes because they don't wanna hear that their shit doesn't stink and they aren't perfect

My best relationships have been when I just do what I want (within reason) and say what I want. I dated a feminist and would say sexist stuff to her, because she liked me it didn't matter. She had male feminists hovering around her trying to fuck her and she was disgusted by them, they'd just mindlessly agree with everything she said.
