Where would you fit in the "To what extent" component of the question into this, do we refer to it later in the intro? Does this thesis say that we agree with the stament to a moderate extent (because we are agreeing with it by saying no text is original but also disagreeing with it saying hypertexts aren't shadows/lacking power)??
Thanks for this, been struggling with writing my Module A essay for the HSC this year. Is it not necessary to incorporate more rubric terminology in the thesis?
Incorporate rubric terms where you can, but not for the sake of it. The more rubric terms you try and incorporate, the more you will just REPEAT the rubric rather than saying something meaningful (that goes BEYOND the rubric). Instead, focus on the key terms of the question, which will come from the rubric.
In terms of structure, I like writing integrated paragraphs however they are often very long so I won't have time to write 3 - do you think having a structure of paragraph 1 text 1, paragraph 2 text 2 and then paragraph 3 text 1 and 2 is also good? Thanks so much your videos are excellent by the way!
That structure can work as well. It's great that you are being honest with yourself about time. If you cannot do three integrated body paragraphs, do three shorter paragraphs where you only integrate the last. Alternatively, some schools recommend doing just TWO body paragraphs in total (both integrated), and if you are not a fast writer, this isn't a bad idea (and is probably more sophisticated than the first option above).
Hey Ignite HSC, if you were prescribed 12 poems in total for Mod A (Sylvia Plath vs Ted Hughes series), and the question states 2 prescribed texts in HSC, would you write more than 2 since only writing 2 out of 12 seems quite redundant, or?
Good question! Inevitably, you cannot talk about every poem and so you must select poems that best reflect your understanding of the collection as a whole. If you are doing a 3 body paragraph structure (where you integrate both texts each paragraph), then choose THREE poems from each collection (one per para). If you are doing a 4 body paragraph structure (Plath - Hughes - Plath - Hughes) then I would choose TWO main poems from each collection and then include a reference to ONE additional poem in each paragraph (to support the ideas in the MAIN poem).
THIS THESIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!
Thank you
can you show how you would go on to write the body paragraphs?
Soon!

Is this video helpful even if you don't do adv?
Definitely! It’s just an example from Advanced but you can apply the same steps.
