A little late response..
Words of advise for next time (from a welder fabricator):
1) Find a shop with a sandblaster and pay $150 cash to get them sandblasted. You could have picked them up next day. You could even spend the same amount of money (you spent on that grinder) and gotten a harbor freight sand blaster. If you have an air compressor, it is handy. Grab a $20 grinder while you're there.
2) The metal wires you lost are now on the ground in that area. Your dog will eventually get one in its paw. Pray it doesn't eat one. Run a bar magnet (roofers magnet) over that area. Even if the package said the wire brush was stainless, the wire probably is magnetic.

You should put the "Keep Evolving" panel on the left and the "Team Huckhouse" on the right of the C Rail. That way left to right it would read "Keep evolving team huckhouse"

Next time you guys do this, use etching primer. The etching primer has acid that helps adhere the primer to the base material. Then your final coat will apply 100x better to your project. Also adds extra corrosion protection.

I got two questions, number one is there anything you can put on the unpainted part to keep it from rusting? Such as some kind of light oil like 3 in 1 oil. Question two is have you thought about putting a couple of layers of clear coat over the paint to cut down on scratches?
