  • Splash Mountain Log Flume Attraction at Disneyland Park in California shot in 4K 60FPS at Night! Splash Mountain at Disneyland Park in California takes guests aboard a log and through the stories of Br're Bear, Fox, and Rabbit! Join the characters singing Zippity Do Da, Laughing Place, How do you do, and much more! Splash Mountain at Disneyland park in California and the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida will be closing sometime in 2023 to make way for Disney's new attraction, Tiana's Bayou Adventure! This retheme will replace a majority of the scenes and animatronics with new ones featuring characters from the Princess and the Frog! Splash Mountain at Disneyland park in California is a great ride for the entire family to experience and should be done, especially if you haven't ridden the ride previously.
    This POV of Splash Mountain Log Flume Attraction at Disneyland park in California was shot in early December of 2022.

    Disney is making a massive mistake, this is the best ride because of how well it’s all done. It pisses me off how they are taking out a historic ride like this and replacing it with MORE princesses. And on top of that ripping out most of not all the America sings stuff

    • @KassMcCormack
      @KassMcCormack Год назад +2

      I don't know how historic something built in the 80s could be. Also I'm sure Disney and a huge group of Disney fans would be thrilled to replace a ride based on a movie so racist Disney refuses to let it out of the vault with a ride based on a movie to feature Disney's first black princess. Lastly, we have zero clue how much of the original ride is going to stay. Considering how quickly the change is happening and how much Disney loves to save money, we can safely assume the only animatronics that are going to be removed or drastically changed will be the recognizable ones like Fox, Bear, and Rabbit. If anything, this is a good thing because it means those animatronics are finally going to be given the love they deserve to keep them running for another 40+ years.

      @KassMcCormack Год назад +3

      @@SpecialAgentEBunny Then you obviously don't know anything about racism because just from the handful of clips I've seen and the plot synopsis I've read on the official wiki page for the movie it is extremely racist even for the time it was made in. That's the whole reason why Disney refuses to let it out of the vault.

    • @SpecialAgentEBunny
      @SpecialAgentEBunny Год назад +6

      @@KassMcCormack you haven’t watched it, but your did read a wiki page. Perhaps you should watch it first. The stories were collected from black folklore. They’re erasing stories originating from the slaves themselves

    • @KassMcCormack
      @KassMcCormack Год назад +1

      @@SpecialAgentEBunny "Cultural historian Jason Sperb describes the film as "one of Hollywood's most resiliently offensive racist texts".[74] Sperb, Neal Gabler, and other critics have noted the film's release as being in the wake of the Double V campaign, a propaganda campaign in the United States during World War II to promote victory over racism in the United States and its armed forces, and victory over fascism abroad.[75] Early in the film's production, there was concern that the material would encounter controversy. Disney publicist Vern Caldwell wrote to producer Perce Pearce that "the negro situation is a dangerous one. Between the negro haters and the negro lovers there are many chances to run afoul of situations that could run the gamut all the way from the nasty to the controversial."
      Also:
      "Adam Clayton Powell, Jr., a congressman from Harlem, branded the film an "insult to American minorities [and] everything that America as a whole stands for."[77] The National Negro Congress set up picket lines in theaters in the big cities where the film played, with its protesters holding signs that read "Song of the South is an insult to the Negro people" and, lampooning "Jingle Bells", chanted: "Disney tells, Disney tells/lies about the South."[77][78] On April 2, 1947, a group of protesters marched around Oakland, California's Paramount Theatre with picket signs reading, "We want films on Democracy not Slavery" and "Don't prejudice children's minds with films like this".[79] The National Jewish Post scorned the fact that the film's lead was not allowed to attend its premiere in Atlanta because of his race."
      And finally:
      "Criticisms in the black press largely objected to the reinforcement of stereotypes, such as the subservient status of black characters, costuming, the exaggerated dialect, and other archaic depictions of black people."
      All pulled directly from the wiki article with sources linked on the page. It does not matter what it was based off of or what the intention was. The film includes racist stereotypes and depictions that were condemned by the very communities depicted in the film therefore it is racist. To argue otherwise is being intentionally and maliciously ignorant and silences the very same voices you claim to be elevating. I will not be arguing any further about this because there is absolutely nothing you can say that would change my mind. Song of the South is racist and was considered racist at the time it was being made. Full stop. If you reply again I will report you for harrasment.

But at least one day in one year in the future when I get back to Disneyland after the Princess and the Frog retheming of Splash Mountain is finished in 2024, maybe I’ll be super excited to ride on it and experience it because the Princess and the Frog is arguably one of my favorite Disney movies and I heard that they will also add fireflies to the ride so that during nighttime they will light up and glow!
