How can I pick a favorite make from so many beautiful garments. I love them all, but the coord , yes, I need to copy that idea! Great save on your blouse, it looks lovely. I really like the shirt you made for Chris, I hope he ends up liking it once he puts it on. Awesome video, thank you!
Thoroughly enjoy all your videos Julie. I think you may have set a new trend with your pattina blouse. It looks lovely, love the fabric. I am getting back into sewing after a long illness and just love watching your enthusiasm which is rubbing off on me. I do exactly the same as you with Beckys' videos and paused yours to order the Nina Lee Holland Park dress pattern. Take care Julie. Thank you from Newcastle upon Tyne xx
I am pleased to hear you are recovering and getting back to sewing. I do hope you enjoy making the Holland Park. I think I’ll be making buttonless Patinas in the future. I actually prefer that look too 🥰😍🩷
I am so glad to see your vlog - I missed you. I feel about your makes as you do about what beck sews. Every fabric and pattern you use I want. I was gutted when I looked on the uk stretch fabric shop, that they did not have the fabric you had on! Can’t wait to see your next makes!
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes aawww Thanks Julie ❤️ we are busy building my new sewing studio, so it will be a while but once I’m moved into it I’ll be back 😉
HI there Julie, once again love all your makes , dress is gorgeous, fo jump suit wow, colours and style, really flatter your figure, I'm envious of that 😢😢. Patina you could always sew buttons down to "pretend" . Making the shirt longer, it can also be used unbuttoned over tops and trousers, not just for your bikini 😂 I use many of mine that way. I look forward to yr vlogs, as I do Bec's well all of you wonderful sewing vloggers ❤, were heading into spring, where the heck has this year gone 😮 enjoy your sewing, regards Diana from NZ. 🎉❤🎉🐸🐸
Thank you Diana.🩷 I think I need to try the shirt over tops and trousers. I’ve always liked that look on others but never tried it myself. This season has just flown by. Can hardly believe you’re heading into Spring already and we’re definitely getting an Autumn chill in the air which is a bit frustrating as we’ve only really had a couple of hot sunny weeks and a lot of wind & rain 😞😂
Just happened on your channel today. I really love your fabrics and makes. Also love the way you line up buttons and buttonholes and the way you explain this in two sentences. I always struggle and have to think it all up again. I can actually recall it. Subscribed and I will be looking for your other videos .
Haha that’s funny Denise. I am really mindful to be honest with my sewing chat as I wouldn’t want to encourage anyone to spend money on something that isn’t worth it. So pleased you enjoy my content 🫶🏻🤩🩷❤️
Great vlog and some beautiful makes. I loooove your Patina ❤ I’d be tempted to sew down the placket in my next one, as I never undo them anyway. Like you I immediately downloaded the Holland Park dress when I saw Becky’s version . Yours is beautiful too. I need to buck up and get mine done before summer completely disappears!
Ah thank you so much. I’m wearing that Patina blouse a lot and it’s just so easy to pull off and on so really, there’s no actual need for buttons. And yes, buck up and get your Holland Park done before the season fades on us 😁🥰🩷
Fabulous makes as always Julie. Dare I say you are my Becs... after watching your vlogs about the Victory Patterns jumpsuit and the one about the lovely green Isle jeans I immediately bought the patterns. The jumpsuit has appeared on my grid and the jeans are waiting for photos... thank you once again for the inspiration.
I love all of the people I follow, but I do get excited when I see what you’ve made or are making. That patina blouse was stunning. And I actually like the idea of not having to have it button down the front. Lol. Was your husband‘s shirt’s fabric the same one from the tie dress? It kind of looked like a hospital gown too. 😂😂. I’m trying to get brave enough to make my husband something.
Thank you Lesa 🩷 I must say, I’m rather liking the closed placket version 😍 it’s a different fabric from the tie dress but definitely the same vibe 🤣🤣🤣
Fabulous as always. I agree about patterns and different body shapes. I love the garments the youngsters make but sadly I am a rounded 72 year old and don’t suit a lot of the beautiful patterns. You always look amazing in everything you show us.
Ah, you’re so right. I do have to check myself and resist buying patterns that definitely don’t suit me but happy to take a risk now and again. I think I got away with the Holland Park dress 😁😍🩷
I am LOVING that French terrie fabric ….. Maybe what he said was ‘you made me a shirt in that fabric 🥰’ Or you say ‘I made you a shirt!!!!!!!!’ 🤣🤣🤣 I keep wearing the same earrings. What else did ya buy
That made me laugh!🤭 I think he likes the shirt style, he doesn’t like full sleeves or button ups to the neck so but I don’t think he’s got a camp collar style in his wardrobe, it’s the fabric that caused a bit of an infliction in his voice when he saw it… it is another‘hospital gown’ look, I seem to be making a habit of that look lately 🤭🤣 Of course there’s more fabric to show 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ If I don’t get the time to do a quick vlog this morning, it will probably be after my holiday. I need to pack my case first 😳😎😛
@@Julie_sews_her_own_clothes haha. I have fabric in a bag here I’m to show. I’m just getting my ducks in a row for this red ballgown 🙄 Yeah guessed it was the fabric. 🤣🤣🤣 oh Chris Chris Chris. What to do with you 🤣🤣🤣
Loved all your makes again Julie. I've bought the Tony shirt but I just can't figure out how to do the collar. I've not been sewing long maybe that's the reason. When you make your next one would you be able to do a little sew along for the collar? Would love that.😊
Lifting pins and needles on RUclips has a great tutorial for the camp collar. I’m sure there’s lots of others too. I will try and do some recording when I make my next one.
