I'm 75 and as typical with older people you can hear but you can't understand because of the brain's ability to distinguishes certain words or letters from each other...even with hearing aids. Your "Ray" product has made it easier to understand what's being said. Without it, background music takes over for me, but not for younger people, making it very difficult to understand speech. The same thing is true with room reverb present. I FINALLY figured out how to get Sonos to work with my TV remote. Your "technical" description was useless to me. I have a Sony X85 which doesn't really explain sound choices in the way a lay person understands them. However, the Roku remote is now controlling. AND!!!! I NOW HAVE A MUTE BUTTON, which is something your app should have not matter what the music source.
There should be a setting to turn on night sound on a schedule. Each night I need to turn mine on and then off in the morning. Seems like it would be an easy fix
Absolutely this. I'm surprised Sonos haven't made this happen, I am ALWAYS going to want to make these changes in the late evening but don't bother because I can't automate it so I just mute it and have subtitles on.
@@sonos I just purchased a full Sonos system with the Arc, 2-sub gen 3’s and 2-300s for the rear surrounds. I don’t know if I could be more disappointed. The dialogue is not good. If I play a program from either live tv or from a recording on the DVR everything is fine. But if I play something from streaming like Max, Tubi, etc or if I play a movie on DVD the dialogue is horribly low. And there is no volume adjustment for the Arc! The speech enhancement does nothing when you are playing a dvd or streaming. It makes no difference on my system at all. Extremely disappointing. To have no way to adjust the volume on the Arc/soundbar is insane especially at this price point. The first movie I played was my Blu-ray copy of San Andreas with Dolby atmos. I had the volume up as much as I could take. The surround sound great, lots of impact. But I was struggling to understand the words the actors were saying. I can’t believe I have invested all this time and money only to find out I have no way to adjust the Arc volume. To make matters worse, I see on the web that this was a problem back in 2020! Sonia hasn’t dealt with this in 4 years. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thank you. I don’t want to have to return this system but i will have to if I cannot find a solution.
Ive got an arc, sub and 5s for the rears. I want to put the 5s in front with those 360 things at the back. But i dont know if this is a compatible configuration.? The app is so rubbish. Has anyone got this config working?
I have the newest arc and sub with additional rear speakers and playing music is fantastic. Dialogue much like your video is terrible! Sorry I wasted my time watching your video.

We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to our team.
Ideally this should be exposed as some sort of virtual "button" to alexa
, this way it can be freely toggle both via voice and via scheduled routines

Need more mids and highs on the Arc! It definitely lacks in that department compared to other competitors soundbars
OMG can I just say your dog is adorable. And thanks for sharing those two settings. I was unaware.

Where is the speech enhancement toggle on the app? I don't see it anywhere
Sonos you need to boost the sound volume higher. I always have to set the volume to 100nto get the best cinema sound.
Yes, even with enhanced dialog on it’s hard to understand conversations.
Nice. Cheers
