I have a 13 Tacoma and love working on it too. Only thing you missed was putting grease on the ends of the brake pads that slide in the caliper so they're smooth moving when breaking. Also use a wire metal brush to clean the break pad housing in the calipers. At least where I live in San Diego, O'Reilly Auto Parts offers life time break pads. You buy the first pair and install them on your truck, or vehicle. When it comes time to replace them, go to the store, buy the exact same ones, go replace the pads and then you get your money back when you return the old ones. I'm on my 3rd pair. Enjoy your videos.
Braxen McConnell oh okay! I came from his channel today so just thought that’d be coincidental haha. Also does using the screw drivers to make the calipers retract not hurt the rotor?
Haha that would be super funny honestly! Welcome my dude! But yeah, we just happened to be roommates and both have the same truck. As far as the rotors, the screw drivers aren’t going to do anything to them, they are metal whereas the brake pads are more of a ceramic or metallic material and are softer. You probably wouldn’t want to use screwdrivers on a brand new set of pads tho.
