Looks super good! You get access to some of the BEST stuff 👏 Having dipping gravy on the side was a brilliant idea 🎉 Hope you're having an awesome Thanksgiving week 😊 Oh yeah, we finally got to try Mr. Cow and we totally loved it! Totally remember your awesome review from eons ago😁
Hahaha!! I think with the side of dipping gravy it could be INCREDIBLE. 😁 So glad you got to try Mr. Cow! I love all of their hot dogs!! Hope you both had a wonderful Thanksgiving and thank you both for always supporting my channel!! 😀💗💗
I would probably fry up a new over easy egg to replace their egg (needs to be thoroughly cooked for their food standards, I guess). Yes, a side of gravy would be better. Or I guess we could just make a Loco moco ourselves if we were bringing it home to eat. Lol. Thanks for trying it out.
Oh my gosh! Your comment made my day!! 😁😁 I was reading it thinking, “Yeah I could fry an overeasy egg and it would be awesome!” And then I kept reading and thought, “YEAH! Might as well make my own at that point!” 😁😁 Thanks for making my morning! I always love reading your comments!! 😀💗
I can't believe a fast food restaurant is actually doing some street food style burgers. I have to admit, even though I don't eat a fast food, I would definitely check this out! I love the ingredients and how well it was put together. I remember your other videos with loco moco and I think I would definitely calorie bomb on that. I can kind of understand why they would have a regular fried egg, over hard, and very little gravy. I think a lot of people would probably find it way too messy otherwise and would complain, sadly. However, I think it would be fantastic! Edit: forgot some words, misspelling
Yeah, I guess having an overeasy egg and lots of gravy would be a little too messy, but I think my side of dipping gravy would work! 😀 It was a good burger, though, even if it was a little too dry for my taste. Thanks so much for watching!! 😀
Hey! 👋 That Loco Moco Smash Burger looks HUGE! 🍔🤤 I can't believe they managed to fit all that inside! 😂 Rice AND gravy?! That's a whole meal in one bun! I'm curious, how did the flavors all work together? 🤔 And I agree, a runny yolk would have taken it to the next level! 🍳 Thanks for taking us on another food adventure! 😊 #HawaiiEats #LocoMoco #FoodReview
The flavors work really well together! A traditional loco moco has all of those things (minus the brioche bun). I still think an overeasy egg and a side of dipping gravy would’ve made this a winner. 😀😀 Thanks so much for watching and always supporting my channel!! Hope you are enjoying the holidays. 💗💗😀
It isn’t awful, but it’s not the best representation of a loco moco (by any means) and it was a little dry. And Jack in the Box Hawaii has a breakfast item: Spam, eggs, and rice platter so the rice is multifunctional.
I 100% agree with your "side of gravy" idea. They could use one of those low but wide containers like fast food chicken places use. I tried the Loco Moco Burger and felt it was dry. Not enough gravy, and they don't use mayo or ketchup because it doesn't match the theme of the burger, so I get it, but that thin layer of gravy is the only moisture in the the burger. I remember a Friends episode where Ross explained that Monica adds an extra slice of bread that's covered in gravy, to moisten the turkey sandwich. Jack in the Box could try this as well.
I agree that the burger felt really dry… and the idea of putting the Monica slice of gravy bread on it is a great idea! 😀👍🏻 I had wondered if only my burger had a little bit of gravy, but it seems like it’s pretty consistent with others I’ve spoken with. Thanks so much for your comment and for watching my video!!! 😀😀
To reduce the messiness, it seems that Jack in the Box has scrambled the egg instead of having it Loco-Moco style sunny-side up, which would probably make a mess if eating it in car. And as you stated, the onion rings is there to trap the rice and gravy. And who knows, since JITB sells breakfast platters, maybe they'll consider a Hamburger Steak platter. They have all of the ingredients, hamburger patties, rice and gravy...sadly no mac salad though. Where McDonald's Hawaii tried to do that before, maybe Jacks will give it a try, as they like to experiment with their menu much more often than any other fast food restaurant chain. Lastly, I believe that some of the proceeds for the sales of this burger is going to the University of Hawaii's athletic department. Same as their antenna ball sales. GO support the BOWS!
Oh that would be great if Jack in the Box started selling hamburger steak plates!! Very true they have all the necessary ingredients!! And I had no idea that a portion of the proceeds went to the UH Athletic Department! That’s really cool!! Thanks for your awesome comment!! I love hearing from you!! 😀😀
@@TinyAsianPastryGirl By the way, just in case you're a 'burger foodie' also. Burger King has just brought out a new burger, it's called the Maple Bourbon BBQ Whooper. It comes with a 1/4 lb flame-grilled beef patty, maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy onions, crispy jalapeños, smoky maple candied bacon, and American cheese on a sesame seed bun. It doesn't have to be for your channel, although I think you should check it out...enjoy!
The benefits of being in Hawaii! Looks like a little too much going on there for a burger. I am guessing it would be better if the burger was juicy, and not smashed. I agree the egg could have featured a runny egg yolk. Never really got into onion rings, chips or fries being in a sandwich either. I do like the thought, and again, I agree with you it could have been better.
Sooo agreed!! A lot going on in this burger! I still do wish they had a side of dipping gravy - I think that it would’ve made this burger infinitely better - as it was, it was a little dry. But it was still a good take on a classic Hawaii meal. Thanks for watching, Paulie!! 😀😀💗
It is a little on the pricey side, I have to agree, but it was a huge burger and I can appreciate what they were trying to do. Thanks so much for watching!!
Wow what a big burger
It was SO HUGE!! Thanks so much for watching!!!

I guess I won't be planning a trip to Hawaii for this. Definitely needs more gravy. Do they have any other dishes that use rice at Jack's?

At $9.99, I think it is on the pricey side for fast food.
