Tajia is a good singer. But she only seems to be able to sing in that heavy vibrato operatic style. It gets old very quickly and doesn't fit in alot of the songs that she sings. Again, she is good but I can't listen to an entire song that she sings in except phantom of the opera when she sang for nightwish. Just my opinion. Floor is so much more versatile. Just saying.

Floor is a great singer, but they have the same octave range, with the exception of Tarja being able to hit the higher notes without taking the depth off of her voice.
I don't think there are many more performance where a singer looks as exited to be there as Tarja does in this. She's like a fan who won a prize to perform with the band. The "you take it" moment is more of a reminder than an honouring though bacause that is Tarja's part in the original song and she seemed a little distracted moments before. All good though. Lots of fun.
Yeah. I saw a video of Tarja's concert where Sharon is invited to sing this song and Tarja's "I walk alone" and the energy is equal. Sharon comes on stage late and it's all so natural, they joke and smile all the time and have this admiration and respect for each other. The best onstage guest interaction I've ever seen!
There is a performance of this (I think it was at the "Masters of Rock" festival) where Sharon is looking for Tarja to come onstage to sing her part, but she comes out from the other direction and sort of walks up behind her and Sharon turns and gets a surprise! It was really funny and adorable :)
And have a Tarja's concert that have a similar situation. Sharon comes late on stage (that's normal for her 😂) and Tarja is looking and waiting for her. They both have such a good energy on stage together, I hope see more in the future.
I wanna go to Hellfest so bad.... So many awesome bands... I so miss concerts. And Tarja and Sharon are so cute together and they seem to have so much fun up there. I love them

Missing live performances a lot (attended 38 concerts last year. Then again now saving a lot of money + paying off debts = nice too) And with musicians going on live on YT, IG, Patreon etc. creates new opportunities to meet, chat, with your idols. 🤘

For many fans of "symphonic metal" or even the out-dated "female-fronted metal" scenes, envisioning Tarja and Sharon sing a duet was something that had been on fans tongues for over 20 years prior to this duet - I too got to experience it live last year in Masters of Rock (CZ) and it was my favourite ever live moment, and I have been to over 100 concerts :)
You are so Right! I felt just the same when this song came out! These women were the 2 ones carrying Symphonic Metal vocals on their shoulders since the mid-90's... And I may say female fronted Lead vocals in heavy Rock/Metal, alongside Anneke van Giersbergen... which made all of them Legends on their own right, because when they started out, they trully had to believe in the value of the music... those were smaller bands at first, no success was garanteed, still these women worked hard and helped to build a trademark sound that made it Bigger! I fell that Many people nowadays discover all these bands and singers at the same time, now that they are big and with expensive production Dvds and albums... but don't even know how it was when they started out poor and small bands, and they also don't get the whole vibe that came out when those albuns started to make them bigger and bigger, like "Century Child" or "The Silent Force"... I remember so well when it was the "newest thing" , the "wild thing" to listen to those albuns when I was in high school... Many people wouldn't even understand my fascination for such strange music for them, but I know you must understand, FemaleMetalLover! This duet was EPIC... And I may tell you that, if this duet was possible... I hope that someday destiny might join Tarja and Anneke in the same song too (Am I alowed to dream? eheheh)... Finally I may add that I really feel bad and even ashamed at many of the newer Nightwish fans who don't understand that these women I mentioned, incuding Tarja of course, were the ones that paved the way for Lead female singers in heavy Metal that came right after, like Floor or Simone Simones (Lori had put some classical vocals in Therion before, but she was not fronting the band, and it was Tarja who infused those genres to perfection and made it bigger, after Oceanborn)... I remember my entire years from 4th grade to 9th grade, I was so obsessive with Nightwish and Within Temptation.and people thought me crazy. Only my music teacher responded with awe in her eyes after hearing Tarja's voice blend with heavy guitar and fast drums. It wasn't til after Once was released that my people in my class started noticing the Tarja and Nightwish - Nemo brought so many people on board, although many considered Oceanborn way too outlandish for their taste. I was 12 when I discovered Nightwish, turning 30 on Friday...oh my god, time moves so fast XDDDD. But I can count myself lucky, I got to see Nightwish live with Tarja before she was fired, and 2 times with Anette, and 5 times with Floor. Tarja solo though, 12 times xDDD. But yeah, my favourite moment ever was watching Tarja on stage with Sharon, it was everything I ever envisioned. So much passion and humility between the two, it was like they too had waited so long, like all of us.

Nightwish performed for the first time in Portugal with Tarja, after the Massive success of "Nemo" and then the entire "Once" album... but it was a performance in a festival in the very north of Portugal and I didn't have a driving licence at the time nor the possibility to go there... unfortunately...
