- "We all have a little soft spot for the cryogenic mummies, the wall-busting entrances, the anthropomorphic chicken men, and the Lone Rangers-gone-bad that'll steal your car in the night. It's kind of a love/hate relationship when it comes to those kinds of gimmicks - you want wrestling to have a modicum of credibility to it, but not be so super-serious that you can't enjoy the absurdity of a bad idea come to life. That's where these gents come in..."

Pacitti's smile playing the piano always kills me.
What kills me is that his finger never even touch the keyboard.
Brandon's Opinion makes sense since it’s not really there
I have a friend who looks exactly like him kills me too
It's Annoying
The fact his head is not in proportion to his body in that outfit kills me. I honestly thought they'd 'Shopped it on to someone else's body.
Repoman wasnt a gimmick. It was a lifestyle

Last week he repo’d his own car!
Barry had a totally different idea he pitched to Vince the gimmick and how he wanted to portray it Vince loved the character but wanted the gimmick to be different and in the end Vince won the argument and we got the repo man we all remember and Barry said it made him lose his passion cause his version didn't make him as an over the top comedy act like Vince made it
Repo man was awesome
I'm a simple man
I know I'm gonna hear the best intro on RUclips, and I click.
Dylan Stakely is a gay racist
It's a bite off of What Happened When with Tony Schiavone and Conrad Thompson
Stupid overused lame comment
Here for the theme song.
alabamawristwatch who isn’t
@@phillysportsphanatic1547 that and the video but i will just listen to the whole version he put out it is awesome i am making that my ringtone no doubt
I'd listened to the short and long version one time. They were enjoyable. Now, of course, I always skip the intro.
Seriously? Its fucking awful
Wrestling news and gaming I’m here for the actual video
“Those who had o make chicken salad out of.... Well, you know.”
*MASON RYAN*
Ya need to get the walnuts and the raisins
I literally send this comment in then had to delete it
It's a nock at Jerry brisco
The gobbledygooker was my elementary school P.E teacher, Hector guerrero
Wait really
The content doesn't even matter. All I need is the intro
Me when each wrestler's current status is announced: "Please don't be dead, please don't be dead"
Ironically, One Man Gang/Akeem becoming a prison guard is funny when you realize one of his partners was Big Boss Man.
I wish they mentioned the twin towers
The Big Boss Man was also a prison guard at one point of his life
Waited til after work to watch JUST so i could sing along to the theme song.
Watch the name rap or die from smosh 5 years ago
The Yeti was the best gimmick of all time...imho.
THE YETAY
It's the YE-TAY.
It’s The Yeti
@@dripifice4882 THE YE TAAY
The blue blazer was the best but we have are own opinions so
The fact that I actually remember and watched these as they happened is both exciting and makes me feel old.
What happened to every wrestler in Adam Pacitti's "What Happened To That Wrestler"?
Here for the song! I love it
Another update on Phantasio. He works as a car salesman in Memphis Tennessee. Sold my dad a pretty sweet car and talked about his career with him a bit. :)
Jackson D what career?
@@Vipers_Pit he wrestled as Spellbounder in Memphis before the WWE
@@Vipers_Pit You know, his one legendary match that he had!
why did he only have the one match? really liked his gimmick and he could of gone big
Guys....that Billy Joel parody was FUCKING AWESOME!!!
much respect earned.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT WRESTLER?!? 😂
Vance Chariot what happened to that wrestler? Some since long forgotten but their memories live on!!
Tna now haha
"🤼What happened to that wrestler?"🤼♀️
That's a million-dollar deal right there
"💰 money yeah yeah money money yeah yeah Brooklyn Brooklyn"
@Omega 06 cryme Tyme
Can we just get an MP3 of the theme already?!?!?
Everyone: "What happened to the 90s worst wrestling gimmicks?"
Cultaholic Wrestling: "They sadly passed away."
“So uh , let’s grab this talented luchador and put him into a chicken costume because it would be funny”
Always wondered whatever happened to Ric Flair and Kane
And Kevin Nash lol. Thank God, I might’ve gone my whole life wondering.
PJ Polaco (Justin Credible) is actually of Portuguese descent, which is why he was given that gimmick
I liked the Papa Shango gimmick. Also liked the Godfather gimmick too. Certainly better than Doink the Clown
Papa shango and Renegade where good in my opinion
Not even. Doink the clown as a heel was GENIUS.
You forgot his other character KAMA MUSTAFA.
@@riversouder3375 evil drink was awesome, they never should have turned him face
@@petervanbuskirk500 I agree,
6:34 I actually popped for the grandmaster B reference 😂
Mike White I’m not Bud any more...
The song deserves a seperate video for itself.
That intro music is by far the best thing Pacitti has ever come up with.
Pacitti seems like he should be a lounge singer and/or porn director.
Repo man is Simon Miller's uncle
Al Cappachino...Yeah, he wishes! Lol...Simon loves him some Repo Man!
But I always thought his uncle was Johnny Sins
@@lordevyl8317
I just realised this means according to what whatculture has said, simon is related to, johnny sins,
Goldberg,
And repo man,
Which means repo man goldberg and johnny sins are all brothers
Papa Shango was an AWESOME gimmick, he along with Kamala would of made a great team, or Shango with Undertaker.
facts
God I love the 'What happened to that wrestler theme' so much
I work for an auto loan company. I like to think every repo agent out there looks and acts like the Repoman
I only saw Akeem's debut a few weeks ago. I've been watching wrestling for ~14 years and in all that time, no one mentioned that Slick took One Man Gang into an alleyway and made him clamber into a bin while local voodoo practitioners did their thing. Amazing. Magnificent. 11/10 segment that isn't talked about enough.
Watching WWF in the 90s was like watching Sesame Street with "Who are the people in your neighborhood?" Yeah, with all the occupational gimmicks, you almost wanted to sing that little song from when you were a kid every time you saw a wrestler who was a policeman, a dentist, a plumber, a garbage collector, etc
There was a Russian fighting channel (don't know if it's still here) which I think went one better. They'd have all these bare-knuckle martial arts dust-ups in farm yards and whatnot and they'd give the participants 'characters': army guy, trucker, etc. One upload was titled 'Night club bouncer vs. Four-eyed school kid' (or something similar). They'd dressed the fighter up as a reasonable approximation of a disheveled Harry Potter and he laid it on admirably thick with the credulous facial expressions - but there was no disguising his adult, athletic physique (no euphemism).
Today it would be a banker, some Google nerd, commuting policeman, tourist, homeless guy, homeless guy, homeless guy, homeless guy
@@Camcolito Uber driver🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@impalaman9707 Ah yes, I forgot ;)
Repo man repossessing Macho Mans hat was legendary during the 2nd episode of Raw. 😂
Love the Billy Joel parody. 😂😂 Priceless!!
I dont understand why Glacier wasnt mentioned to be working the battle royale on DoN's Buy In pre show next week. Or that hes signed to AEW.
Where was Adam Bomb?? I loved it when guys had great names like his and of course the best one ever.. Justin Credible
Yes, I was wondering the same thing. He briefly mentioned "Wrath," but he didn't talk about Adam Bomb. He seemed like a decent wrestler back in the day, but never really got any traction.
@@JakeLovesSteak Adam Bomb was great. Red eyes and a weaselly manager (Harvy Wippleman). Had it all. Wrath and Mortis were my favorite tag team during that time in WCW.
@@KastleKrossface Yeah, man! He's so under-appreciated.
@@JakeLovesSteak would be very interesting to see what all of that would've played out if Robbie V would have taken the Glacier role.
@@JakeLovesSteak The guy could work pretty well but you barely ever saw him outside of jobber squashes on Superstars.
You mentioned Savio as Kwang, and in the same breath Hakushi.
So how in the world did you forget the legendary tag team those two formed? THE SHOGUNS!!!
Okay, so they only had one match as a team, losing to The Smoking Gunns in 1995. And after the match, they turned on each other. But still!!! Legendary!!!
Everyone of those ridiculous WWE gimmicks were Vince's idea...... Yeah Vince, you really know what we want......
That being said, I liked the Berzerker.
There was 2 of them remember the Viking , Then they became jacob and eli blu . I think their last run was skull and 8 ball in the D.O.A which I thought was pretty cool
The Berserker was on some court show a few years ago. Judge Joe Brown maybe? Greg Mathis?
Hey, Damien Demento could have had it worse. A current WWE belt holder was once billed from "The Dark Side of a Broken Heart".
I liked the Glacier gimmick, I understand why some people didnt like the gimmick but the nostalgia of the gimmick just keeps it in my good graces.
There are few videos I look forward to like this set of videos. Thanks for being awesome Cultaholic!
Shockmaster is a safety inspector and his biggest claim to fame is tripping on a piece of wood straight through a wall, ironic.
He also has a Wrestling School in Florida and is a genuinely-nice guy. I printed a Banner for him. :-)
Top 10 underrated faction members please
Dude Glacier had some serious potential. They just flubbed it, hard
''Their memories live on'' I never sung a line so loud ! Even in concert I'm not so hyped ! Release it on Spotify Adam !
Lol! Great song. But what on earth is Bam Bigolo & Mean Gene doing in it? Legends.
The problem with OZ was Kevin Nash was dumping all the stuff off before he ever got into the ring. He look more like a wrestler being forced to wrestle in a dress or be fired
The best series(song) is back!!!
Grand Master B. Lol still laughing at Married with children and Bud Bundy!
Today's wrestling need those gimmick
Lol 😂
Hooray for more of the intro!
I don't know if you have noticed this Pacitti, but your video editor has trolled you so hard.
While playing the piano, where keys are up and your fingers are beneath the keyboard. LOL
Well... I actually saw you on Christian Nutrition... So fun.
Yes the legendary theme of what happened to that wrestler
In February, Duke "The Dumpster" made an appearance at Southern Honor Wrestling, to work with Dani Jordyn, who the fans lovingly refer to as "Trash". It was amazing the pop he got from the crowd.
Alex Autrey Trash Dumpster. Funny 😄
man, you are committed to that jingle...
HUSS! HUSS! HUSS!
I remember the Berserker very well.
It was a homage to his former tag team partner Bruiser Brody
The dumpster idea was the worst off all gimmiks🦅
Gonzales name in WCW was El Gigante and not Elegante as suggested by Adam.
Kane being mayor of Knox County will forever be funny to me. He will never be voted out because if he is, he’ll just send everyone to hell 😂
Other occupation gimmicks: Hitman, Undertaker, Coldstone
ummmm.....title is WORST gimmicks no wonder you didnt qualify for the "Are you smarter than a 5th Grader?" show.................
that intro was unbelievably awesome!!!!!!!!
Loved it keep up the great work!
they need to bring back Duke the Dempster Droese. It's time to take out the trash 😂😂😂
Fred Ottman also happens to be the uncle of Cody Rhodes. One other important detail that was not mentioned in this video. Is that the Kiss Demon was not the first time Dale Torborg got slapped with a bad wrestling gimmick. In 1995, when Torborg was working in the defunct American Wrestling Federation. He wrestled as The MVP. A Baseball player character similar to gang The Baseball Furies depicted in the 1979 movie The Warriors.
Man Mountain Rock?
The Executioner?
Rad Radford?
The Toxic Turtles??
I still like you Glacier. Introducing Sub-Zero into the WCW just as it was transitioning into a more realistic setting was a bad call on the part of the management. If only you'd been introduced a few years earlier...
The timing wasnt the issue, it was the execution and the casting. I think if they had used at least an asian wrestler for it, it would have done much better. They should have just paid Muta to do it, he would have killed that shit.
Repo Man and Berserker both in Minnesota? Awesome!
When the intro is spoken about more than the Shockmaster.
Doesn’t feel right someone who’s not Simon Miller mentioning Repo Man
Simon Miller IS Repo Man.... Check out his latest video for proof..
I remember Phantasio when he wrestled in Memphis as The SpellBinder
He wasn't Just the Hottest.. He wasn't Just the Coolest.. He IS Justin Credible
Papa shango was a good gimmick they tripping on that one 💪
facts
I'm always here for the song (never get rid of or change it), but stay for the great content
Damn I could've watched this for another hour....I'm sure there's plenty more to fill it up lol well done sir...cheers
I absolutely loved Damian Demento!
what, no knuckle ball Schwartz??? that was the worse!!!!
Can’t believe that the wrestler OZ is a hall of farmer. Lmao 😂
Nice to see the Simon Miller homage with the Repo man in d the first few secs of the video 👍
Papa Shango was not a bad gimmick it was just not pushed right think about it the Undertaker was a dead guy that lived off of an earn Papa Shango with the whole Voodoo thing was kind of cool Vince McMahon could have did several matches with him and Undertaker and it would have been something
When pacitti is playing the keyboards in the intro, always reminds me of Stephen merchant
It´s somehow sad to see how old they look now, some even passed away already. Puts in perspective how long the 1990s are already gone.
BTW Damian Demento looks like a character from a Mad Max movie.
Wait... Mantaur was from Omaha? I'm from Omaha and did a small amount of local wrestling there.... How did I not know he was from my hometown???
Grand master b....LMAO...nostalgia
Lol, that theme song initially reminded me of the 1995 Superstars intro
The intro is always the best part of the video lol. What happened to that wrestler lol
I was going to come on here like a smark saying I knew all of these and where most of them are...then yoshi Kwan happened. That is something I have never heard or seen before
I didnt know Reese was the Yeti
I liked Jason Albert aka Matt Bloom he was in WWE but now he's a trainer for NXT
I was spacing a little and all I heard was "Making chicken salad out of, well, you know, Mason Ryan."
I remember the Glacier vignettes. They DID go on forever. So long, we all got bored and stopped caring.
When you think about it, the undertaker was basically one of these gimmicks they just manage to evolve it, and the man behind the gimmick managed to make it work so well it lasted as long as it did
if you think about it the 2004 Undertaker was waaaaaay different from the first one. no more pale makeup no more crazy rituals. just a man dressed in black
The open theme needs to be a purchasable ringtone it's so catchy
Jim Crockett, first starrcade, 605, nwa........ oh wait wrong intro my bad i thought it was what happened when with tony schiavone
What happened to every single wrestling in “what happened to that wrestler”
Great video guys. Really enjoyed it!
I'd say I'm shocked that a gimmick like Yoshi Kwan was allowed to fly in 1993, but then I remembered Lord Tensai... yeah...
Lord Tensai wasn't an Asian gimmick tho.
@@XavierGage then why did he come out to generic "Asia" music, do the mist, have a fake tattoo on his face, have a Japanese manager, have a name that's Japanese for "disaster", and originally come out in entrance gear similar to the Great Muta in the 80's?
Lmfao OK that musical alone deserves a thumbs up
