      @@EssexAggiegrad2011 not really misused he won the tittle after that , after starcade 1997 wcw was in a rough place cause it showed how strong hogan truely was , sting wasn’t used badly and after Starcade 1997 that silent mysterious character of his was dead 1 cause he started talking and wrestling a lot and started coming to the ring like a normal guy and 2 cause of how starcsde 97 and that world title reign ended

    Benoit claimed years later that Sullivan never took undue liberties during their real life feud and was a consumate professional in and out of the ring, even though he was the head booker of WCW at the time and could literally book anything he wanted.

      I liked the uncensored 1999 decision. Turning hogan back to red and yellow would have got a lot of nostalgia money for WCW. Eventually WWE capitalized on it in 2002

    The fact that WCW almost killed WWE by trying to steal the Ramon and Diesel gimmicks, only for WWE to get that little caveat in the agreement that they can buy the company for dirt cheap to turn into them 100% killing WCW is still wild to me.

    I still believe that if Hogan wasn't signed by WCW, then WWF (which was it is called back then) signing Ric Flair and getting the WHC would have finished off WCW then and there.

    The Outsiders thing wasn’t even the first time WCW got busted by the WWF for trademark infringement. There was the time John “Earthquake” Tenta and Ray “Big Boss Man” Traylor followed Hulk Hogan across and debuted with their WWF-owned gimmicks using tweaked names. And they couldn’t even get that right, even though Traylor was supposed to just be “The Boss” the commentators (and even the ring announcer) kept calling him Big Boss Man.

    The more I look at Sting vs Hogan, I noticed that Hogan was doing a dirty pin by holding Sting's outfit while pinning him, which is illegal in pro wrestling and is viable for Hart to make the save

    Instead of Bischoff saying “let’s get these fans talking about the entire show I’m not satisfied” he instead of relying on celebrities, let everyone have their way, insulting the fans, and overusing stars of the past for a cheap pop. That’s a shame

      look closely at just who sued: undercard jobbers, the ones nobody gave a damn about because they weren’t that good. it was a money grab by nobodies who were only kept around because of the house shows and three shows per week. no shock that the lawsuit came when the third show was dropped
      and yes there were a few racists but WTF do you expect, it’s no different than anywhere else 🙄

    addemendum on the whole 'Flair put down a deposit' it was not when he won the current belt. It was when it was still the NWA title, and still a company run by Crockett. Herd never took that deposit, Turner run WCW never took that deposit, heck the company wasn't even called WCW when someone took that deposit. Flair was debating technicalities on a contract long since voided that someone somewhere owed him money so he could do what he liked because he was miffed at Herd.

    People, this channel doesn't do their research evidently because Ric Flair didn't have a problem going to Thunder but since he was at home due to an angle and had plans to attend his young son's AAU wrestling championship, it was a conflict but doable until Eric or WCW management wanted Flair to pay half his travel finances so in a way whatever their policies were back then (if someone could get a hold of it), I would say Ric did violate his contract.

    with all due respect to Flair, he was well past his prime in the late 90s and coasted by on just name alone. he was flabby, slow moving, winded, and sweating profusely during matches. he was the no different than Hogan with the ego issues and matches fitting his demands.
