Fabulous again Leonoor . My wife and I have descended Galibier at zero degrees in heavy mist and needed to rest in the Irish bar and warm up . Your photography again excels
Certainly one of the best vloggers out there at the moment , you really have an art of making the viewer feel like they're there . Amazing so glad I found your channel . My daughter is new to biking and 100% you're inspiring her to get out there .
Wow thank you so much. Big compliment for me as there are many creators out there doing a way better job than me 😄 so thrilled to hear your daughter is getting into riding and finds inspiration on my channel - a beautiful benefit of showing my work out here!
Thank you, for your wonderful pictures of the sunset on the Galibier. They manage to capture the essence of the place, the magic of that light, the secret “language” of that landscape where earth and sky speak to each other in silence. The only poignant note: I remember the Galibier twenty years ago, when the skies were still clean, without the white burrs released by planes. In those days the blue was deeply blue, pure infinite cobalt. Thank you again, for your way of perfectly restoring the atmosphere of the wonderful mountains between France and Italy.
Just discovered your channel and I'm so glad I have - brilliant vlog! Now looking forward to going through your other episodes. Great production and fantastic mix of video, drone and stills - thank you for sharing! I was there in October this year, unfortunately in a hire car (still magical but not Plan A) as my bike had blown the water pump after a day's circuit of Mt Blanc - took 10 days to get the bike fixed! Gorgeous images and so good you made time to go back up Galibier at different times of day - I think there's a lesson there for planning my next tour...
Vielen vielen Dank für diese tollen Bilder. Einfach nur schön. So great. Cool views. Now i want to pick up my bike an start to france. Last year i visited (April 2023) gorge du verdon. Have a nice trip.
I’m running out of superlatives for your videos! This is yet another epic production and I’m in love with the location. I can’t believe how quiet the pass was at sunset, I really thought it would have been much busier but great for you, and us Leonoor! 🙌
@@LNRmoto " May the road rise to meet you May the wind be at your back May the sun shine warm upon your face May the rain fall softly on your fields And until we meet again May you keep safe"
That's some epic colours and views! The mountain ranges like a layered cake - some near, some a little bit further away and then some really distant ones. Wonderful! And you were spot on when you went for golden hours here: Just a minute apart and the scenery changes almost completely. Shadows are caressing another part of the mountain sides, clouds and colours are also doing their magic dance. 👌
You are lucky, my beautiful lady, with a powerful Decati bike with great performance and appearance.. and you have a Nikon camera and you enjoy in stunning nature.. a wonderful feeling.. thanks for God’s blessings..🥰😍🤩😘
Thanks for this one Leo, it truly was Magical, the sunset shots were epic, your passion really shines throughout the video. The passes look epic and have me wishing i was there 😊 How cool was the table top map of the peaks, loved that 😀
This was an epic episode. Awesome video editing and those photos, wow..... For me this was so heart warming episode, because I have been also riding there and watching those mountain views. Because of my age and health I will ever see those places again. But you save my day, because I can ride with you as many times as I want by watching this episode.
I was in the French Alps last year. But I didn't have the equipment or talent like you to photograph and film. I am grateful to you for showing me the images that are in my heart and memory.
Just when you think the views can't get any better those majestic mountains never fail to amaze me.... Absolutely stunning views all around, such a spiritual place and soul cleansing 🙏 Again thank you for sharing such a magical vlog 👌 Love your work 🙌
Simply spectacular, colours and contrast amazing subject matter and views stunning. Please keep making wonderful video's, all the best and good luck on your up coming collaboration with off she goes, looking forward to that
Hey Leonoor, me and my brother inlaw did a lot of this in 2022 and I did it also in 2017 but I've learnt more watching your video than doing the travelling. I'm not saying I'd rather sit and watch it on tv, oh nooo, but it goes to show, slow down, travel less and take more in. I must have "passed" Galibier 4 times and I didn't know you could see Monte Blanc from the top 😳 Great videos. I look forward to them 😎👌
Spectacular and beautyful! You show us the magnificient Galibier in the way it deserves - thank you very much!! The colors in the evening, the switchbacks, your phenomenal drone-shooting - simply great! This great roads deserve their time to experience them. To ride them again and again, with eyes wide open. Climbing them only to check them off from the bucket list is a big failure .. Thank you for this video - now I'm diving deep into my memories of 4 days on the Galibier. Greets, Jürgen from MotorProsa
Thank you so much 😀 if only I had time to do like one pass a day haha, that would be heaven wouldn’t it! But yeah, trying to make the most of it every time. But this time I’m glad I could enjoy some places a bit longer
Stunning! I think you take bike vlogging to a new level 👌I noticed the cow skin rug in your room but there seemed to be an absence of cattle along those steep windy roads. Are there no alps/mountain farms in that area? 🤔😊
@@LNRmoto Thanks for taking me places I could only dream of I ride a Kawasaki Z900 rs so a lot of the roads you ride are out of reach for me , looking forward to seeing your next episode 🤟
I really love your videos. I went up the Meije glacier with the skilift in the summer of 2019 when I toured in that area with my motorbike. Amazing views and nice to walk in the snow. Thanks for taking us along.
Very nice video and I especially like that you use old fotoes(2020) from your first trip and compare with new from 2023 😊. It is always good to go back to nice mountain passes with better time and no stress.
Hi Leonoor, thank you very much for making such epic Videos! I did the Route des Grandes Alpes last summer ('23) solo and I absolutely loved it! The Col du Galibier is my favorite place in the Alpes and it's breathtaking to see it on TV... all the places I also stopped and enjoyed a look around the Mountains... Travelling alone on a bike makes me absolutely happy and I think, you might feel the same... Greetings from Münster, Germany near the dutch border, maybe we meet some time on the Road 🤙 Happy New Year and always ride safe ❤
We are going to Austria, Slovenia, and Italy in july, do you want to join us ? Let me know and we can talk about it. Thank for your video, you do a great job ✌️👌
I absolutely love your videos iv not been well so im playing catch up im loving this tour sitting with a bottle of wine and enjoying ever minute of it, I go on my triumph t120 in 3 weeks,im like a child waiting for xmass , thanks for sharing 👍
All your videos are pure marvels 👌 Yet I know most of the places you pass by, but your eye makes me see them differently 👍. I love it 🤩 Can't wait for the next one! In the meantime I wish you all the best for 2024 ✌
Wow fantastic episode; great drone footage and still shots! Must have been so good to have the extra time to see the mountains properly rather than being on a time line and having to rush through. Thanks so much for sharing
Hey just came across your channel by accident I'm totally addicted. I've watched a good few adventure videos now but something about yours that has me hooked.
Incredible footage capturing the awe inspiring beauty of the location. I love the narration of your travels and it feels like we are right there with you!
Wow most of the mountain shots at the end are so good they almost don't look real I wish I had your eye for photography and shots like these incredible 😊
I was enjoying it anyway, & will no doubt watch it again for sure, (Like you do) But around the 14th minute, Wow, this vid really did take off for me. 👍 Sensational combo of Drone/Stills/music coverage. Helmets off to you Leanoor, you're a legend. ♥ The ending, Terrific, & I've punched the air myself many times over the years doing exactly THAT ! Riding alone late in the day, on a remote, deserted location, 10/10. Love it.
Really enjoyed the video, took me back to July 2011, when I cycled up the Galibier. Weather was terrible with sleet and snow at the top in the car park. No views from the summit. Great to see what it should have looked like!! Keep up the fantastic work.
Thanks for the reply, despite being July it was really freezing at the top!! The col de Izoard was just as bad, we were snowballing half way up. Luckily it all cleared a few days before the Tour de France went through. Fortunately I’m riding something with an engine these days, so I’d love to go back and spend some more time in one of the most beautiful places in Europe. 🤞🤞
love the comparison pictures....can see a lot less snow on mountains..at the last spot you were on a trail and I noticed a few at the look outs.....are any of these open to motorized vehicles to go or walking only? The mountains are great....what a view.
Kippenvel tijdens je video kijken, prachtig daar!
