My girlfriend and I are both starting CRNA school this year in different states as well! So crazy y’all have the same situation. Definitely not preferable but looking at it as an investment. Even though we’re in different places, my gf and I are still doing this together.

Congrats! Are you able to reveal where you got accepted? I’m at WGU in the BSN program, but I’ve been a little worried that I won’t get accepted into a CRNA school down the line since WGU is a Pass/Fail system and my GPA will always be a 3.0.

Congratulations! I’m so happy for y’all. If you don’t mind can you please say or hint what school you got into? I’m planning to go to WGU but I’m worried about the pass/fail grading system. I did my research, but I still can’t find a dnp-crna program that would accept a 3.0 gpa.
If only u guys know how encouraging you guys have been i followed u guys since term 1 of wgu and now Im almost done with term 5 time flys. I really want to connect with you guys for some mentoring u guys are a couple steps ahead of me and it's the same path I'm taking

I want to add that I appreciate your advice you give(both of you), I just passed my NCLEX, been working ER as a paramedic for 20 years, I am running into red tape trying to get into ICU, there is a NICU prn open, doesn't say what level. While I wanted to stay and show loyalty I may need to branch out to other hospitals. Will NICU award me the critical skills needed to take care of any patient or should I go for ICU/CVU or any other ICU. My end goal is CRNA also. But I am not in a rush.

Congrats on passing your NCLEX. Every ICU is different and will prepare you with specific skill related to that specialty.
I would try to get Into an icu specialty they interests you or you will be miserable. Keep searching for jobs and don’t “show loyalty” and waste time. Too many opportunities out here. Best of luck on your Journey

Day shift, Study days on days off are very focused. The entire day is dedicated to school work

Thought about it but after shadowing anesthesia we decided it's much more our tempo. That's the beauty of nursing, options
