I feel like the crash represents the war traffic and lack of materials, due to the tender on the 176 distinctly being a war bonds livery, when it could've easily been a typical tender. This would align with how a lot of locomotives took hits during this time. Regardless of my theory being true or not, this is some real quality work, you deserve so much more attention man, keep it up!
All I can think of now is making a short with that edit of The Outfield's song "your Love" where they have someone singing kind of clunky and then it comes into the proper song at "you know I like my girls a little bit older" and just have it cut from a moden EMD Locomotive do something like a streamlined NYC Hudson highballing past them lol
An observation - whether intentionally or not, you mimicked Darara521's editing flourish of superimposing 2 clips of moving trains over each other very well. That was a blast from the past. Also noteworthy - mixing the "wohoo!" In the chorus in with whistle sounds is a stoke of genious. I most enjoyed the freight section with those wonderful transition era vibes, but the entire video is excellent.
@@engineerskalinera You notice things very well! Yes Dajara521’s videos were always favorites of mine so I did indeed mimic his style without even noticing it myself. The way he told stories with just a song had a big influence on me. Thank you for the compliments!

Did 171 actually wreck?
Really good stuff here tho
In reality, no. However, the wreck represents something much more philosophical 😉
