I think it's just one reason. From the beginning, Netflix did not intend to make a show that lasted from season to season like Stranger things, The witcher, but just a serie for them to introduce Yu Yu Hakusho to people who did not know, then those people would watch the anime version on it.
agreed with the number of episodes. I also have issues with their wigs that don't complement with the actor's skin tone. One Piece's costume department made several tests on the wigs so that they match the actor. Keiko's wig was also bothersome. In the scenes of Keiko and Yusuke's mother you can notice the difference of how the hair falls.
jun is the best kurama for me. he's such a great actor too and used to playing action kind of roles like in high and low, which has tons of choreography and makes it looks so real.

The actors are very down-to-earth and humble. In Brazil YuYu is really loved by us who grew up watching it on an open TV channel. There are lots of fans. The Live Action was so good, it deserves a second season and the actors and staff deserve our respect and appreciation for their hard work. I got really into Kurama's fights and I was looking forward to Kuramioko appearance. I'm happy the actor didn't give up because he was perfect for the role.

The anime was so popular in The Philippines. 90s kids literally grew up with it. So I was so happy that it gave justice to the well loved series. The Yusuke actor slightly looks like a Filipino tho
Never heard of this in the slightest but decided to give it a try...was NOT disappointed! The action was phenomenal, and it just kept getting better and better. Definitely wished there were more than 5 episodes, but got more screen time than a movie, so I'm here for it.
I wonder if the actors feel pressured because of fans' high expectations. Yuyu hakusho is popular globally not just in Japan. It's part of the fans' childhood. Many will complain if they did a bad job. From what I see they really did their best. Not just the actors but also the directors and producers. As a Yu Yu Hakusho ("Ghost Fighter" in the Philippines) anime fan, my personal favorite was Kurama (Dennis) and Karasu's fight, and I think my expectations are met in the live action (lowering my expections given the vastness of stage in the anime)! Still, Kurama and Karasu's fight is the best in the live action! Good job!
I absolutely loved it! It was amazing to see these characters come to life. I have a ton of respect for all the work that went into making it. This series definitely needs to continue.

Netflix you really underestimated the fans of yu yu Hakusho. In the Philippines alone, you have millions of fans. We are expecting more or at least to have 12 episodes for Toguro era. The tournament is also very essential for us to see. Yu Yu could beat the ratings of Squid game if you stick with the anime series at least. Since I was a kid I have been a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho. I remember I always drew Kurama at the back of my notebooks. Really happy that there is already live action.
The cast is more handsome in real life than when they are in character. I love Yuyu Hakusho, it’s called Ghostfighter in the Philippines. My brother and I cried when Eugene/Yusuke died 😂 in the anime. Now that we are parents, I can’t believe it’s a live action adaptation.
He is takumi kitamura. Check out he other movie: Overdrive ( he and Mackenyu) Tokyo Revengers Our 30 Minute Sessions Tonkatsu DJ Agetaro He is lead singer in band called DISH.
Thanks for all of the actors hardwork, i really appreciate it and thank you to takahito ouchi for cast jun because he did suits the character very well. Also kanata hongo did a great job and it’s very smooth maybe bcs he do so much in this genre and he really like it. The series, i love it so much, it was great. I can’t get enough of it

i love watching this series with zero knowledge, then i realized "oh this is the dude from Tokyo Revengers!" and then the dude from High & Low Worst. that makes me confident the fight scene is gonna be awesome haha. then there's Kanata Hongo - a geek and also veteran, i love it! Keita Machida from H&L and Alice. and then freaking GO AYANO!!! this cast are freaking great! sadly i never saw any movie or series of Kuwabara's actor haha
the only downside of this series is that it's only 5 episodes...i wanna commend everyone involved in this live action, RSPECIALLY the action scenes! it's too good
😊They did kurama dirty with that wig but damn, Yusuke was on fire on his fighting scenes. Also, is it weird that I found the actor for kuwabara as the kost attractivw?
I have seen the LA twice until now, once by myself and the second time with my mom. I like it more than I have thought! Negative points: - they looked like cosplay, unfortunately 😢 - small number of episodes Positive points: - their acting👏👏👏 - the fight scenes 👏👏👏 The actors seem so down-to-earth! I wish to be one more season, but with at least 7 episodes😢
Ghost fighter(yuyu hakushu) is very popular in the philippines in 90's also flame of recca and sailor moon hehe many millenials here are going to love it if they watch it.
I really enjoyed this series! It was too short though with only five episodes. Please make a longer season two! Loved all the action/fight scenes, and I felt all the actors did a fantastic job!
I love all of them, incl the villain like karasu,,they make the fighting scene so real ang we know how hard it is to do the anime fighting scene into real live action.I love all the fight scene,i think its epic, especially the fight between yusuke vs first yokai & kurama vs karasu
The only bad thing for this show is the episodes. Why 5 only? Netflix why???? This is so good. One of the best live adaptation.
a bit disapponting because fight between tagoro and genkai was cut. It was obvious the story is rushed.

Since I was a kid I have been a big fan of Yu Yu Hakusho. I remember I always drew Kurama at the back of my notebooks. Really happy that there is already live action.
The action scene is outstanding, I love it so much, very well made series❤
Kitamura Takumi looks real real cool as Yusuke.
I was expecting a dark tournament, but this live action did not disappoint. Very greatful for this.
Fighting scenes all amazing and look super realistic!
This is another level of action !!!!! Thank your for making this movie...❤
They nailed out of the park with those actions scenes
This is great ..we need to get this a million views . ....
excellent good job wish it was longer more episodes
The cast is more handsome in real life than when they are in character. I love Yuyu Hakusho, it’s called Ghostfighter in the Philippines. My brother and I cried when Eugene/Yusuke died 😂 in the anime. Now that we are parents, I can’t believe it’s a live action adaptation.
agreed. maybe it's due to the hairstyles and color that they have that it tones down their handsomeness.. well except Kuwabara IMO 😄
@@MyawMyaw01 Kuwabara was not the most handsome in the anime and I am glad he had a glow-up in the live adaptation!
@@erikapuno3163 hahaha so true! Even Sakuragi is better looking than Alfred 😂
Brought me back to when we were reading the manga in high school. Thank you for the production team and actor's hard work. 🙇♀
I have a new crush, the actor who played Yusuke is so handsome! 😍
He is takumi kitamura.
Check out he other movie:
Overdrive ( he and Mackenyu)
Tokyo Revengers
Our 30 Minute Sessions
Tonkatsu DJ Agetaro
He is lead singer in band called DISH.
I can’t get enough of it
We need more Netflix Yuyu Hakusho!
Well done. I'm so amazed on how on point the characters were. Thank you for making this amazing live action. I will forever be grateful as a YYH fan since childhood ❤
i love watching this series with zero knowledge, then i realized "oh this is the dude from Tokyo Revengers!" and then the dude from High & Low Worst. that makes me confident the fight scene is gonna be awesome haha. then there's Kanata Hongo - a geek and also veteran, i love it! Keita Machida from H&L and Alice. and then freaking GO AYANO!!! this cast are freaking great!
sadly i never saw any movie or series of Kuwabara's actor haha
Yes.
I'm shook that Kuwabara's actors is so good. He really nail it.
the only downside of this series is that it's only 5 episodes...i wanna commend everyone involved in this live action, RSPECIALLY the action scenes! it's too good
Great fight scenes! Lots have been watered down but it still brought the story well
Amazing cast!! Amazing work!kudos Yu Yu Hakusho Live action team!
I'm such a big fan on this movie sometime i almost have a heart attack whenever it's about to lose but i was so relieved that it's not going to lose
Season 2 please. This is just epic! WELL DONE ❤
One of the best live action adaption! Bravo 🎉
The casts really worked hard to put this into action. So glad that it turned out really good! I'm proud of them. 🎉
😊They did kurama dirty with that wig but damn, Yusuke was on fire on his fighting scenes. Also, is it weird that I found the actor for kuwabara as the kost attractivw?
It reminds me of the anime in many ways, which is great!
I'm excited to see it, hope it's good!
I have seen the LA twice until now, once by myself and the second time with my mom. I like it more than I have thought!
Negative points:
- they looked like cosplay, unfortunately 😢
- small number of episodes
Positive points:
- their acting👏👏👏
- the fight scenes 👏👏👏
The actors seem so down-to-earth!
I wish to be one more season, but with at least 7 episodes😢
Thank you so much, this is the first time I am happy a live action got made!
We need Season 2!
almost 5 years in a making! its wort it!!!!! the composition of fight scene really f* liT!!!!!!
Well done, amazing show! congrats for the whole team!
La esencia de cada personaje se puede ver reflejada en los actores, las escenas de acción son fabulosas, se agradece esta adaptación de gran nivel 😊
I love all of them, incl the villain like karasu,,they make the fighting scene so real ang we know how hard it is to do the anime fighting scene into real live action.I love all the fight scene,i think its epic, especially the fight between yusuke vs first yokai & kurama vs karasu
If they gonna make season 2, please give Kurama better hair. The actor is already sooo good but the wig tho
imagine if this had 16ep like k dramas and j doramas.. this would have been alot perfect!
AMAZING!!!!! I only wished they had more scenes for every part haha 😂 i hope next season 1 hour w more episodes!
