Something that I always like to bring up is how fitting the title is. This was called “The wrong way to put out a fire” for a reason. It’s honestly a perfect way of looking at what Endeavor did to Touya. Endeavor sparked the fire, and instead of giving it calm and gentle water or something to put it out, he basically poured gasoline and paint thinner on it, and then proceeded to ignore the fire and let it build, not realizing that he was not only the root of the problem but also the primary one making it worse.
And by the time he did realize that, it was all just too little too late.
Endeavor surely loves Toya, but not as much as his dream to beat Allmight. His way to stop Toya from hurting himself is to have another baby, instead of care him more or bring him to a psychologist. Rei has already said it'd be too cruel for Toya but Endeavor didn't listen. Toya knew the reason of him being born is ONLY to defect Allmight, and yet Endeavor still decided to have another baby. This was as same as telling Toya that he was no use anymore. Endeavor put the idea in Toya's head and ran away when Toya needed him the most. Endeavor totally neglected him. Just love him verbally was not enough.
All Toya ever wanted was to have Endeavor attentions. He has a stronger flames, but now he has heart cold as ice
As a young adult when i see these situations they make me scared to became a parent my biggest fear is to fail my children
Fun fact: in the Manga Toya's hair was just white, in the anime they made it red in a flashback from season 2 and white in the picture from season 5, the hair changing colors was their solution to fix their own continuity error, and then they messed up again in this flashback because Toya's hair was already almost completely white by the time Shoto was born

This episode definitely shows us once again what atrocities Endevor was capable of despite calling himself a hero and wanting to be the number 1 hero. It shows us how they were only a family in name and how everyone struggled.
Atrocities? lmao. What this episode shows us is that a lot of people can't process complex ideas.
The only shitty thing he did to touya is neglecting him and that's because he was hurting himself thinking he would eventually stopped chasing after him after he died that's when he turned super abusive to shouto and his mom

@@gavinrad1exactly. Endeavor character not merely black or white, it's complex. Those who didn't understand will merely decided either forgive him or hated him. It's much more than that
