Kudos to you and Christine for not only creating wonderful memories for all the kids, but also leading by example in living a healthy lifestyle, creating family memories, and helping them build confidence and real life skills, like being prepared, working together, and achieving difficult goals. Awesome job!!
I love how you get the kids involved with what you do. I know it teaches them a lot about preparedness, safety, and know the essentials. Loving your videos!
You are smart to have been so prepared. I have experience with the Girl Scouts, and you need a packing list and need to anticipate any potential necessity.
Great thinking ahead to bring face coverings on the trail! Never know when you might need to interact with someone and it’s better to be safe than sorry
I think that's why they don't make exercise clothes out of cotton. It's really good to wear in summer as it breathes well and cools you down fast. However, when you've finished exercising you want to cool down slowly otherwise it increases the likelihood of getting unwell (e.g. the rhino virus thrives in temps just under normal body temperature... Or in other words when a person is cold). If you cool down slowly you also reduce lactic acid build up and reduce the risk of blood pooling from suddenly stopping. I have a question. If you want to hiking is it basically the same things? Warm clothes food and a hydration pac. I have been doing short hikes to loose weight. You all inspired me to do it. I would like to hike longer just don't know what to bring.
Dave this is really great. I have never done anything like this so I am looking forward to seeing what it’s like. I’ve taken a bike class in he past so if it looks doable, I may find something similar nearby. Question: are all of your kids digging this? Or do you have to coax them?
There aren’t many things that kids will do without some kind of encouragement. Except for maybe video games and watching TV. :-) So we definitely take time to encourage the kids and reward them for doing the hard work and for not complaining. So I think the kids are digging it most of the time. But probably not all the time.

I am super excited you started a channel too! Awesome job!
Kids are so responsible and independent!!
Love having the buff idea. It's good for the covid but also could help protect the neck from too much sun if needed.
Loved this thanks for sharing!
Have a great trip!
You are on a roll Dave! Loving the videos.

Absolutely.
@@FrugalFitDad Should I bring anything else.
Planning this exact-ish same trip next month! Thanks for the tips.
Glad it was helpful!

I'm always shouting u out on Christine's page.. much luv from tn, katie you gotta be alright to be married to her lol..
No chaffing cream? I havent done long rides other than 20miles and it was rough on the parts lol
Great point. Fortunately we did bring some Ned Body Butter. But a chaffing cream would've been nice to have. We were all pretty sore by the 3rd day.
@@FrugalFitDad I can imagine. Going to have to give Ned's a try after all the great reviews Christine has given us on it.
Thank you, I enjoyed your video. What were you calling the masks?
Around here it’s sometimes called a “buff “.
