- A Minor Lament Den miked. I have been chasing health care for several months now. Haven't played the A-100, but have done other musical things. Building a garage set up back up again. It was six in the morning when I recorded this. Although the trains have started shunting cars (@#$%^!!) at this time, the overall infrasound contamination was lower early in the morning. I also played the garage set up first, and the low frequency sound wave pushes the stereo image all the way over to one side. When I play something good and the engineers or radar operators hear it, it desists for a brief moment. This morning after playing "Stand By Me" with a newly programmed drum pattern, the funk stopped and listened, and the sound spread back out and turned into stereo. It was so full and encompassing, and I haven't heard it clean in a LONG time, we get brainwashed as to what real sound should sound like. Hence AM mono radio was and still is good for many things. Phase cancellation and modulation are rampant in both the air and EMF spectrum. So the more you can isolate your sound from external influences the better. I'm not sure about this recording. I am using the X/Y pair on the other side of the den to record the organ and Leslie's LIVE sound, which always sounds great. I spent a lot of time tweaking it in this room. (Also I have the Leslie close-miked with a different mixer, and I can record with that) I think it sounds pretty full and good. Cheers.
