- Sun is considered as one of the most powerful god in Hinduism. Offering water to the sun daily will bring wealth, health and happiness in life.
The Sun is one of the most powerful deities of Hinduism. He is the god of great strength and power. The Rig Veda is the oldest Indian scripture describing the divine and powerful Surya in Vedic mantras. The Sun is said to be one of the oldest deities of Hinduism. In addition to Hinduism, many other religions in the world worship the Sun because of its greatness and goodness.
In Hindu mythology, the Sun is portrayed as riding in a chariot driven by seven horses. These horses represent the seven chakras of the human body and the colors of the rainbow. They are often decorated with lotus flowers, sankhas (shells), chakras (disks), and gadas (sticks), which are symbols of life. Surya occupies a higher position than many gods because of his incredible ability to nurture life on earth and his healing powers. In Hinduism, Surya is considered the one-eyed Virata Purusha (universal form or supreme being). Many saints, asuras, rakshasas, and humans worship Surya as one of the five great gods.
According to the ancient Indian custom, offering Argya to the sun gives mental, physical, and practical resistance to overcome all difficulties. Regular worship makes the scholar, the spirit, and intellectual know-how. It also eliminates ego, anger, greed, lust, and evil thoughts from the mind.

Aditya literally means born of Aditi and refers to 12 solar deities who are offsprings of Goddess Aditi.
There are 12 Adityas corresponding to the 12 Rasis.
Every day at Sunrise we can chant the mantra corresponding to that Aditya associated with the Rasi where Surya is place in our horoscope.
E.g. if Surya is placed in Simha Rasi , we can worship Indra the Solar deity corresponding to this Rasi.
The Surya Beej Mantra ॐ ह्रां ह्रीं ह्रौं सः सूर्याय नमः can be chanted 7000 times in 40 days (Mandala) for any issues in Horoscope related to Surya
In Surya Upanishad, the mantra of Surya is given as Om Ghrini Surya Aditya.
This mantra has 8 syllables (OM - 1, Ghrini - 2, Surya - 2, Aditya -3)
We can chant it 108 times every day or atleast on Sundays, facing East
Aditya Hrudayam is a strotra given by Shri Agastya to Shri Rama to help Him defeat Ravana.
It is described in the Yuddha Kanda of Ramayana and is dedicated to Surya (Sun God)
Since it is not a vedic mantra there are no strict accent rules when chanting it and thus it can be flexibly chanted.
We can chant it thrice daily to be victorious in our pursuits.

It should not fall on feet. Avoid falling back on feet.
To avoid getting splash of pouring water, always try to pour into garden pot with holes. Fill pot with sand - 1/4th of pot - there by, reduce water splashes & proper drainage
That pot should primarily be used for this purpose
You may use one bucket for the purpose. after collecting the water you can use the water to Garden.
