- seasons/battlepasses are completely free
- there is far less FOMO associated with seasons, as the rewards just get added to the common pool when a season ends
- the horror bit at the end referred to a monster that spawned in seasons 1-2, who imitates the distress voicelines of dwarves to lure the players in. I miss them.
The Rival Nemesis is still very much in the game. They have a higher chance to show up in Rival Presence warnings.
The actual horror is haunted caves. I hope someday we are able to kill those damn ghosts and avenge karl.

It's actually not a lie. DRG is the only game I've ever seen where randos in an open game will communicate before advancing the mission or doing something dumb.
My brother is the only person I've seen who doesn't do this

I've met a few assholes but yeah like 99% randos I've done digs with have been polite kind and found non-obnoxious ways to let me know what they need
@@Scrombo2 I've got like 400 hours and can count the number of trolls I remember on one hand. Phasmophobia has a similarly kind community, always meet fun people there.
Been playing DRG for 3 years now. I can count the number of genuinely toxic players I've encountered in that time on one hand. The entire game is designed to encourage teamwork and foster camaraderie with minimal actual communication required. It's honestly mind-blowing just how intuitive it is, and it should serve as an example for other co-op games on how to do it right.
Sseth is just being his usual memelord self with the friendly fire jokes. Stuff like "C4 the Scout" and "Fat Boy literally everything" are common memes within the community, but intentional friendly fire is quite rare. However, when every class has an arsenal comprised of weaponized war crimes, there's bound to be "accidents."
same whether playing with friends or randos there's never any toxicity and the handful of times a player was being toxic as I was the one in charge I'd kick them from the game
I haven’t played in a while (sense early season 1) but I’ve only done single player.
I've heard that "C4 the scout" -meme originates from genuine accidents where Driller places+blows C4, and at the same time, Scout grappling hooks there. Then it gradually devolved into just griefing.
Another comment mentioned that if both players know what they're doing, Driller+Scout is actually contender for strongest two-dwarf team. They basically cover each other's worst weakness; driller has no mobility options outside digging, scout can collect all the wall stuff. Scout has no Aoe, Driller is THE AoE class on most builds.

As a player of Deep Rock Galactic I can actually confirm that most players are actually pretty good at using their manners (was VERY shocked, happy, but shocked to learn this fact), although there are still those trolls as in any multiplayer game, they are just very much in the minority

Plus theres something strangely entrancing about four dwarves shouting about ROCK AND STONE while slapping a pair of fuzzy dice.
I always slap the Fuzzy Dice when departing in the pod when leaving the pod at the beginning of a mission and when I get back to the pod once the mission is complete you could say it's my good luck ritual
Slapping the fuzzy dice is non-negotiable.

Thankfully it’s broken up into neat chapters so it shouldn’t be hard to split.
For an utterly irrational reason, I now want a fanfic crossover between Deep Rock Galactic and Star Trek.

i heard that sigh when he brought up seasons, dont worry there is no paid for aspect for them and anything missed out is added to other ingame loot mechanics like lost equipment and cargo crates which appear randomly in missions. other items are added to the cosmetic shop, but again dont worry, the cosmetic shop only uses in game currencies which have to be earned and cant be bought with real life money (no bullshit premium currencies). They do have cosmetic DLC but those are mostly for people who want to give extra support to the game, you get enough cosmetics as is in the game without them so these can largely be ignored unless you REALLY want one of them.
so at the end of the day about 95% of all of cosmetics are accessible just by playing and 100% of non cosmetic items are accessibly with just playing the game.

Before they came back, I was thinking this is the closest we'd ever get to a Squat game. And then the Leagues of Votan happened for mixed results.
Honestly the learning curve of this game is very straight forward. Hop into a mine, mine gold, nitra and whatever other minerals you find. The mission details are in the top right. And there ya go. As a note while the community is very welcoming, its still best with friends. However that being said, rando's are still actually pretty fun to have around...most of the time...don't do deep dives. XD
You haven't had a laugh until you see your friend fall straight down your screen screaming "SHIIIIiiiiit- fuck" for the fitht time in a row in DRG.

Sseth must have played with some horrible pubs/ scouts to be that annoyed for em. Also the dwarve's lore is suspiciously close to the new squat lore... i think GW went shopping in other properties again. Manners in gaming used to be a common thing until plebs and console babies flooded the multiplayer spaces in the 2000s, DRG just brought it back mostly.
I actually see a decent amount of manners in Warframe. Not a lot, but more than you'd expect by a fair margin. This is not to say there aren't racists, homophobes, transphobes, scary nationalists, or any of the usual problem players whose showings of true colors get them kicked.
If you want war crimes, driller is the go to class. Radiation emitter, acid gunk discharger, cryo gun, and of course the trusty flamethrower.
You pulled your hat down while he showed the special powder overclock. It's not drugs, it's recoil assisted backwards long jumps.
How about Epic's promise to make Fortnite's Save the World Mode (you know, the mode that the game was built as before the addition of the battle royale side mode?) free and updated with continued support? There's a major broken promise.

It is not a lie. Wanna know why? Cos your team WILL make you pay for not having manners. This is a game where you can hold each other accountable. Get manners or get shafted.

Manners aren't a myth in gaming. In FFXIV if you're in a dungeon and are watching a cutscene, nobody is going to complain. If you fuck up, it's okay. Nobody is gonna chew you out for not knowing how a boss fight goes. If you need tips or advice, more than likely you'll get it. It's an environment where co-operation and manners matter a lot. To complain to someone who is new is also against the community guidelines.
You don't need that much time to complete a DRG mission if you pick the right missions. Egg collection and aquarq ones are fairly quick.
Call shenanigans all you want, DRG has the best manners of any game community I've ever seen

DRG have best community i have ever seen in multiplayer game
You should definitely play it it’s cheap it’s fun with unlimited content with 99% free with a few cosmetics but they don’t shove down your gullet and are pretty worth it for what you get there different builds you can have for your guns different overclocks which make the weapons either more fun more useful or just stronger

Heroes & Generals a good game i was free to play but that game is my childhood and now im sad because i remembered that one day i went up to play with friends and it said 'thanks for playing' and the servers shutdown and the game died for real how much i will miss it i spent 3000 hours in it haaah hope it will come back or smth similar
