    How lovely when Alen asked if you were happy in Mama and papas ❤️❤️❤️. You might already know but the envelope neck vests are made to be rolled down or up if you don’t want to put them over the baby’s head. Happy 3rd trimester 💖💖💖

    The Stokke chair is amazing! My parents bought it for me when I was a little girl (I'm 25 now) and we we still have it and use it 20 years later ☺️ it's an investment but it's really worth it in my opinion 🥰

    We have the newborn seat for the Stokke and it is one of our best buys for our 9 week old. She sits in it whilst I cook and whilst we eat at the table etc so it comes in very helpful. Makes her feel part of the action too. Very much recommend!

    HM, primark and lindex are brilliant for basics that don’t cost the earth. My advice would be save the spends for the cute knitwear etc. ikea is great for baby nursery and kitchen stuff. We have the stokke chair and it is brilliant, particularly for toddler age. We also had the basic ikea high chair with tray too which is great. You can also buy an insert for them to support in early stages of weaning.

    My baby gear advice is stuff you will use for a short time buy used. Find a used bassinet, used snuggleme/dockatot, used bouncers, all that stuff. Also buy whatever stroller and don’t worry about the cost, it is such an essential item you use daily for YEARS. Also I always wanted the Stokke but both my kids went from the ikea antilop high chair to a booster and regular chair just fine and I saved myself hundreds of dollars not buying it (gorgeous but not worth the cost for us). Also we loved the type of highchair/seat that attaches to the table top and folds flat for visiting friends and family, restaurants, and eventually in our house since it’s so small and attached to our countertop

    I am so excited for you guys! And also excited to see all the things you'll get for your baby and her nursery and all of that :) I am having my second baby in 8 weeks, so this is also putting me in the mood for the little things I need to get him. For the tub, you might use your kitchen sink at first, which is easier on your back too. And then maybe a bucket kind to put in your tub? A lot of people just hold the baby in the tub with them and quickly wash, but that takes a bit of confidence and might not be the easiest option at first. I had considered the Bugaboo Fox as well, but all the Bugaboos are not easy to fold and open, especially with one hand. I think they are fine if you just have them open all the time (which might be more what you do if you live in a city). I ended up getting the Yoyo for city/everyday, and the Bumbleride Indie for exploration (sand, gravel, rough terrain)

    So exciting thank you for bringing us along for the journey. My little girl will be one in March and it’s flown by! I used the i-safe bath. It folds flat but can be adjusted so baby can sit up when smaller (obviously with support from you). We used it for such a long time. You can still get away with long sleeves for babies when they’re small as they can’t regulate their temperature so I wouldn’t worry too much. If you love something get it!😊

    I would recommend buying a buggy that has loads of space for things. You might even do grocery shopping with the buggy, so a big space under the baby‘s seat is very handy. Also, best in mind that the baby will only fit into the bassinet for the first few months. Then the bassinet will just lie around and take up space.

    We used to have the Bugaboo buffalo (don't know if they still do that model) and the Bee. Loved them both! We used to have the Bee in the city and the Buffalo when we were out for walks. My son when he was a baby really loved the Babybjörn babysitter. And I can recommend the Stokke high chair. We didn't have the newborn seat but we used it maybe when he was 6 months and up. He's 10 years old now and we still have it! Adults can sit on it as well :-)

    I'm a Londoner who has a 7-month-old and commutes exclusively using public transport and I'd say the Babyzen Yoyo was the greatest baby-related purchase I made. I use it on the tube, bus, trains and even took it very easily abroad on a plane. All the other "baby gadgets" I was happy to buy the "cheap" version (you really don't need a fancy changing mat or bouncy chair, etc.). I'd also say the only things you do need are a buggy, a changing mat (I got a £10 one off Amazon and propped on a chest of drawers) and some sort of bouncy chair thing (I got a free one off FB Marketplace and it was the perfect choice as she outgrew it fairly quickly). I also used a Babylo co-sleep cot and it was great, re-sold it recently almost at full price. Would also recommend the FARA Kids charity shops for baby clothes - bought my little one so many great things there (plus all the basics from H&M - they wash and dry so well!).
    p.s. Not sure if this is of interest - I'll be selling my baby's clothes (ages 0 to 6 months) soon. I'm happy to let you take a virtual (photo) look at them before I post them on eBay.

    I would personally happily pay double for the Sleepyhead/dock-a-tot! If you end up with a baby who will only sleep in on you/Alan (very common) treat yourself asap.
    We have two buggy’s. A heavy duty one for Richmond park etc. and a little fold up Joie one for going into London/in trains etc.
    We got a little towelling fabric bath support (rather than a plastic tub) and that worked well.
    Sleep suits and sleep sacks are brilliant.
    Best of luck with it all x

    All I can say as a mum of 3 (all adults now) is don't but too many clothes, people will buy as gifts and babies grow so fast. Probably more bodysuits and babygros is best things. I have always had a bath so I use to have this thing that would sit in the bath so I could wash them, then I got a seat with suckers to go in the bath, this all helped baby to to be afraid of a big bath. But this all manys years ago now . There are so many new things out there that I don't know about.

    • @optimisticrealismx5829
      @optimisticrealismx5829 2 года назад

      I often hear this and thought it was the worse advice,I had as many clothes for my baby as I could,yes they grow fast but my baby in particular didn't stay in the same clothes all day,possibly 4 or 5 times at worse a day..so they get good use out of their clothes.

    Loved this video it took me back to a few months ago when I was thinking all the same things. We live in London went through the same process as you and ending up buying the fox. I absolutely love it and was quite worried beforehand we wouldn’t use it because it’s big . We did also ending up getting the yo-yo on FB marketplace but still use the fox 90% of the time. The yo-yo is so fragile in comparison and feels like a light gust of wind would blow it over. In the end you’ll probably end up with both but yo-yo is better when the baby is bigger in my opinion.

    @NatiHerron 2 года назад

    For the baby bath, I used the kitchen sink with a soft towel on the bottom. It's a good height and if you have a small space it is one less item to store plus they outgrow it very quickly. The chair is brilliant and well worth the investment. I used a pram style convertible stroller for both my kids. The pram was great, made going out much easier during nap times.

    Bugaboo Fox! Should have first watched till the end! Also Pippa (Kates Sister) had the Bugaboo. Bee not good. Jo jo is not a good choice either. Also it’s important that the baby after 6 months of using the bassinet can still be seated watching u. They r so overwhelmed if they are being seated seeing too much. Which causes them to cry a lot in the eve. In Germany they recommend to not turn the seat around till they r 1.5 years old ;) The same for baby carriers, as sweet as it may look if they face the crowds for their little brains it’s way too much!!

    I loved the snuzpod, I bought it brand new (did look second hand but ultimately, as a safe sleep panicked parent too, I thought why cut costs on a cot when I kept reading about how important it was to have a cot which meets up to date safety regulations). Anyway, I didn’t attach it to my bed in the end as I have an ottoman bed so it seems impractical. My son has just turned 8 months old and I’ve only now moved him to a bigger cot. He wasn’t ready to move before 8 months and neither was I. You just have to do what’s right for you but obviously make sure they aren’t too heavy or long for the cot past 6 months. I did make savings on the high chair though, I got the Hauck which is essentially a lower cost version of the stokke (was recommended by friends who love it) and so far so good! You can find bits of the stokke or the hauck on Vinted and Facebook market place (I made additional savings here). Also my first bassinet pushchair was second hand (although from a friend) but I would recommend that (just get a new mattress for it and check that it’s in very good condition) then at 6 months I bought the babyzen yo-yo brand new (was lucky that he was 6 months at Xmas so got money from family). Gosh I could go on all day Eva!! Oh also baby bath - I got the set from John Lewis. Oh oh oh and at about 2 months old I got a baby gym from IKEA and my son loved it (he still loves it) x

    I had the chameleon with my 2nd child it was awful. So was the bee. I went for the mamas and papas ocarro with my 3rd that I am having on Friday! I had 25 prams with my 2nd including the stokke xplory, icandy peach, versa gt (gutted they no longer make that one) orb, chameleon, bee and mamas and papas mylo. I would have had a mylo again in a heartbeat so the ocarro was the logical upgrade. Bugaboo were so flimsy and parts broke all the time on mine but that was 10 years ago maybe they have improved :/

    Eva, try Baby Jogger City GT 2 . Under 10kg, great in public transport and you can use it with carrycot for newborn. I was working in the nursery and have experience with children and pushchairs ( 1-3 years sleeping in pushchairs ). Bugaboo, Stokke, Yoyo are celebrities pushchairs, not that practical for daily use.

    The mesh bath is very practical. U can just bath baby in ur own tub. Have both hands free to wash them, because they can’t fall off. It’s kind of like a hammock in the water ;-)
    Just for the future when actually bathing ur baby, its nice to always soak a wash cloth with the warm water and put it on their tummy. Because the tummy can’t always be in the water properly (ur not allowed to put them into deep water obviously), the cloth keeps them nice and warm. U just keep on soaking it with new warm water ;-)

    The commenter who suggested the returning sickness could have been food related is on to something. Women who suffer prolonged nausea during pregnancy are told to avoid spicy or fatty foods as they often trigger nausea. Eat bland food and if troubled by nausea in the morning, nibble on saltines or other plain cracker before getting out of bed. Eat slowly. Also SeaBands are often effective for nausea caused by pregnancy, motion sickness, etc. I hope that this info. is helpful.
