Ross had to have literally been trying to give Arin the worst possible experiences with weed. You don't start with edibles and you don't show someone an intense depressing movie that makes someone paranoid or worried about existence. Ross probably sadistically wanted to see Arin freak out.
Arin learning pothead terminology is so fucking adorable and cool I've never been so happy for someone I haven't met.
The experience arin had is VERY similar to mine. My brain just brought to the forefront all the memories that were attached to every object and color and everything I experienced. Its bizarre, but I've learned how to both control it and not be afraid of it because your subconscious is taking care of you, and like you can tell yourself "I'm not going to get lost in my mind. My body is going to take care of me"

It's interesting to hear Arin's story because u know the first time you smoke you have some really weird thoughts and headspace but when you have had more experience its less of a big deal.

Neophytes, watch and learn from Arin's traumatic trips. Good God, those sounded terrifying. Under no circumstances do you start with edibles! They are to be approached not necessarily with fear, but with care and experience. Heed everything Danny said here, he knows what he's talking about. And if you can, have some more stuff on hand that's straight CBD. That stuff is the anti-THC, it's the counterbalance to take the edge off. I have a little bottle of pure CBD oil in my weed drawer for this reason: it's safety equipment. Me personally, bad experiences with weed and my moderate problem with panic responses actually improved my life. The physical sensation of being too high and the sensation of an anxiety spike are very similar, which is why the first time I got too high it was a vicious cycle that wound up with me calling the paramedics for myself because I wanted a professional opinion on whether or not I was dying. But, as I've gotten used to it and talked myself through other bad trips, I've learned to say, 'This passes. This stifling heat from inside your body, it passes. The nausea, it passes. The racing heart, it passes. There's no need to be afraid of these feelings, they herald nothing.' Similar simple tactics can head off panic responses before they kick into high gear, I've found. 'It passes, it passes, let it go, don't continue it by feeding it your fear, it's just going to pass on by.'

MY first real bad experience with weed was 5 months after i started smoking more often (every few days i'd get high) and a friend had a challenge for me and he packed a huge bowl in a bong and told me to take it all in one hit. I tried, and succeeded, but ended up throwing up 4 times afterwards

Jesus I got high for the first time with my mom while I was 16 cause she rather I do it with her and in a safe environment instead of being pressured into it and left by myself. She expected me to freak out and I ended up laughing and falling asleep 😂 now I do it very rarely but I feel sooooooo much better now to have done it with her and not being scared

my experience was by myself, only bad thing that happened was the first time smoking was a blunt which i was not used to in any way so the smoke nearly made me barf lol. But i didn’t eat it first like a fool, or feed it to someone inexperienced ALSO like a fool, so I was fine lol. Second time was with an edible bc i disliked the pain of smoking and i got dumb high, time was so fucking slow lmao.
I did it on a cliff side sitting on a rock with a concrete wall covered in graffiti behind me and there was a river at the bottom of the cliff. I was with a friend and I mean it was super private but aint no one without the power to climb up hill back up would smoke there.

Mark Mason, nah. Indica still has the same THC levels as sativa, it's just a more mellow body-buzz kinda high (compared to the heady more active high you get from sativa).
CBD doesn't get you high, it's the stuff that's responsible for most of the medicinal effects.
There are a bunch of slight variations in the chemicals between sativa and indica that give you the different character of high. Still it mostly boils down to THC = fun, CBD = medicine. My sister has chronic back pain, she uses CBD oil capsules and it makes the pain much more manageable while still letting her keep a clear head at work. It's pretty impressive considering the alternative would be taking opiods every day.

Im sad that arin had a bad experience, and it's probably going to stop him from doing it again, especially since i can really relate when I'd have a bad experience, whenever id smoke, that bad experience would linger in the back of my head and it'd sometimes happen again. Man am I ever so glad that when I first did weed I was with people who only let me do a very small amount while under supervision who were constantly asking me how I was after a few puffs. I was bummed at first but seeing all the horror stories, such as Arins I realize how bad it could have been. I do hope that if he ever does do weed again Dan will be there to supervise, everyone needs a dan in their lives

Arin’s first and second trip was very similar to mine with slight differences. I smoked it the first time and had an edible the second time the very next day. I took one hit the first time and started coughing for like 10-15 minutes straight. Since it was my first time I got pretty high, we were watching Thor Ragnarok so it was a pretty good time. The second day, however, was terrible. I had like 1/4 of a cookie and waited like an hour with nothing happening. I eventually had like 3/4 of the cookie. Bad bad bad idea. That shit hit me like a fucking truck after about another hour. We were watching a fucking horror movie too, Life if I remember correctly. It was not a good time. I got paranoid and was shaking constantly. It was like I was having an out of body experience but was completely aware of everything. I just wound up going to bed and sleeping it off. It was pretty terrifying tbh. If I’m to every try again I think I’ll probably stick with smoking lmao.

I smoked way too much in five minutes and got stoned as fuck. I don’t remember much of that day, but I later found out that I agreed to illustrate a children’s book.

On a side note, let this be a list of all you guys various first experiences with the devils lettuce. I’ll go first: I made the mistake of sitting down and trying to play resistance 3. I was sucked into the game and forced to fend off a chimeran attack on Warsaw. I passed out on the kitchen floor, reportedly after screaming at the top of my lungs and raiding the fridge. I don’t know what the hell happened but apparently I made apple pastries, fried them, ate all of them, _then_ passed out

Dude, I wish my first edible experience was that wacky. I crammed down two at once and all I did was commute home while scared as hell thinking someone was going to murder me and then laughing at myself internally for being so paranoid for no reason. I had to wait for an hour up in Queens for a bus that wasn't going to come near a dude with "Killer" on his shirt and I was so convinced if I stayed any longer or he got any closer to me he'd kill me, I spent the last of my money getting a Lyft home. Had alot of fun thinking the driver was going to drive me to some offroad and strangle me unless I stared at my phone and watched the route while my perception senses got all fucked up and looking down at my lap felt like gazing down a skyscraper. I have sensory processing issues to begin with so I could feel the entire car vibrating and humming as well it was pretty chaotic
I've never smoked before, but my friend Kyle has. A few weeks ago, I was playing COD WW2 on the 24/7 Shipment playlist and he got on after coming home from a party, still high. He was just slaughtering everyone and laughing like a fucking lunatic. It was amazing.
