Scorsese is a diamond for cinema...His passion for this art is unparalleled...Even in this age he is continuing making films and announcing new films...May he live for 100 years atleast...
It's crazy to see how much variety Scorsese has in his career: Gangster films, thrillers, sport flicks, neo-noir, autobiographies, historical dramas... the list is endless.
@Darth Skywalker Kubrick focuses on psychological thrillers (Dr. Strangelove is the biggest exception) and Miyazaki's movies are slice-of-life or fantasy. It's not even close to the same variety.
"If God offered to shorten my life to lengthen Scorsese's- I'd take the deal. This man understands Cinema. Defends Cinema. Embodies Cinema. He has always fought for the art of it and against the industry of it. He has never been tamed and has a firm place in history." Guillermo Del Toro.
I love scorsese, ive seen all of his movies. This was probably one of the harder videos to make, being there are 35 movies, all having their fair share of beautiful shots. You did an amazing job. Thank you.
Mean Streets, Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, The King of Comedy, After Hours, GoodFellas, Casino, Bringing Out The Dead, The Departed, The Irishman: legendary masterpieces
He shoot some of my favourite movies ever, like Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Cape Fear, The Departed and many many others. He inspired the tv show I love the most (The Sopranos). He truly is a giant, we are so lucky to have his works
You couldn’t have picked a better time to release this one. Scorsese had diverse filmography that’s almost larger than life and you expertly edited a great tribute! I hole Guillermo Del Toro sees this and is very happy.
I’m glad you did the Beauty of Martin Scorsese, he’s one of the greatest directors of all time, and now you should do the Beauty of Troy, Vikings, Mad Men, Braveheart, Spartacus (1960), The Princess Bride, The Adventures Of Robin Hood, Saving Private Ryan, Band Of Brothers, The Pacific, Rome, and The Tudors
You did an impressive job of editing and every shot is amazing. There are some shots I never noticed and your video did it beautifully. There's only one Scorsese and his craft is beyond words.
«When you grew up in Little Italy, what to become but a gangster or a priest? Now, I wasn't can be neither the one nor the other» Martin Scorsese More than 20 films in five minutes with the incomparable musical accompaniment of Gimme Shelter. A unique omage for a unique Director!
Excellent work. A great tribute to the man. And I love the song choice. I just wished there's more footage of _Silence_ here. The montage starting at 4:17 got me electrified.
Amazing timing, I've just completed his feature filmography this week! My last one was Bringing Out The Dead - I love that it's prominently featured in this video. You can't really go wrong with Marty. I can't wait for Killers Of The Flower Moon. I hear the book is brilliant. There are different sources about it, but I heard it's not completely impossible we'll get it this year.
Martin Scorsese is a great director and a great author when he makes great films, he made masterpieces, he earned everyone's recognition, and at 78 years old. And have a great love of cinema like no one else. His masterpieces are Taxi driver, Mean Streets, Raging Bull, GoodFellas, Casino, The Departed (which won the best director), The wolf of wall street, and The Irishman, among others... (and both Robert Del Diro and Leonardo Dicaprio are his best actors forever, and also from his eternal collaboration with Telma Schoonmaker as his favorite editor) (If I had to say which one has better cinematography, it would be both: Taxi driver, GoodFellas, Kundun, The Aviator, Shutter Island, Hugo (the one that won thanks to Richardson), The Irishman, but the best is Silence, by Rodrigo Prieto) Now I look forward to how Scorsese will fare in Killers of the flower moon, he will work with Del Niro, DiCaprio, Fraser, and Rodrigo Prieto as the cinematographer. Very good video and perfect song (Gimme shelter by The Rolling stones)
This is such an amazing tribute to one of the legendary filmmakers in history and also a great work. There's nothing a better way to start your day watching this made me feel good and back to watching classic films. Thanks a lot.
This channel doesn't get tired of having the best videos on RUclips. Second of the channel that perfectly fits Rolling Stones with the third best director.
What you don't realise about Scorsese until you watch him and understand his style, is that he's an artist more than he is a director. He paints his characters instead of writing them and he only shows the finished artwork as fleeting glimpses throughout the film's run, in the moments where writing is not enough to convey his image. I think this is one of the reasons he works with a few actors above all, because they share his vision and he trusts their ability to articulate it.
RIP Ray.
Martin was my favorite director for many many years. He’s still sitting at number two and only trumped by Paul Thomas Anderson, but his creations and camera work are all immaculate. The thing about him that I feel only sets him a little below Anderson but slightly above the rest is his bombastic realism. It’s real emotion with a slightly heightened gritty landscape.
Excellent !
an obvious legend in cinema. I'm so glad I called the song correctly. Would've been a missed opportunity to not use gimmie shelter I look forward to completing his filmography one day. After hours is one I really want to see still Scorsese's work with robert richardson is on another level

This man can compose a beautiful shot @~?£! I love it. Also the song is not Jumpin' Jack Flash although that moment is in my opinion the best needle-drop ever.
Great job, frankly the criticism Scorsese has been getting lately is disgusting. Maybe something like this can remind people what a A-star director actually is. When you live and breath cinema like him you got to take and respect his word on some of the stuff he says. No matter how much like a grumpy grandad he sounds now
Think Scorsese has earned the right to be critical of films and be a grumpy granddad when hes made a great film in each decade for the past 50 year. Even the likes of Coppola and De Palma have fallen Scorsese hasn't

It lowered Martim's spirit at the editing.
