Little Island Plastic:Filth SD 480p

Earlier in the week I took a stroll around the Little Island Amenity Walk in Cork Harbour after coming across the attached link online.( corkandabout.blogspot.com/2016...)
Unfortunately I never did get to see the promised ‘Conservation Area’ for, after wading through the foul gut wrenching stench from the sewage treatment plant, past the bags of dog shit hanging from the regimentally planted trees or hidden behind the sad rocks, slimed as they were, by the grimy waters of Lough Mahon, I’d had more than enough of this ‘amenity’ and promptly beat a retreat from what is a truly apocalyptic landscape.
I suppose it’s a tribute to ‘mind over matter’ that anyone could possibly conceive of this vile hellhole as a ‘community amenity’, but there you are! There’s no accounting for the lies we tell ourselves.
Anyway, today being ‘Earth Day’, here’s a few photos taken last Tuesday along just 300 metres of shoreline at Little Island’s ‘Amenity Walk-Way’
