    Introduction to Apache Spark:
Apache Spark Is an open-source cluster computing framework that was initially developed at UC Berkeley in the AMPLab. As compared to the disk-based, two-stage MapReduce of Hadoop, Spark provides up to 100 times faster performance for a few applications with in-memory primitives. This makes it suitable for machine learning algorithms, as it allows programs to load data into the memory of a cluster and query the data constantly. A Spark project contains various components such as Spark Core and Resilient Distributed Datasets or RDDs, Spark SQL, Spark Streaming, Machine Learning Library or Mllib, and GraphX.

I enjoyed the video series and the details put by the author. One feedback which I would like from speaker is he needs to make pauses to engage with the audience. Also variation of tone will help. But apart from these minor comments and being technologist myself, I really appreciate the content and speaker to put such great detail into all these videos.

Hadoop is slow because it's written in Java?!!!! It's slow because of the model it uses NOT java specifically. Spark - like Hadoop - is running on the JVM as well, so performance is NOT AT ALL related to the used language!

I had an Asian teacher in college, who pronounced result as...rejert. Her Engerish wasn't that bad either. It took me almost half the semester before I realized rejert wasn't part of the terminology.
