Hey to you. I am norwegian ond as sutch bin listening to Sissel for many years. She has bin singing i US several times, as like with The Tabernakel in Salt Lake some years ago. She sang with the opening of winter-olympics in Lillihammer, Norway in 1994. She has bin visiting many lands and playses thru out her singing carier.11:06 es
Thank you so much for continuing to react to Sissel. I don’t have the vocabulary to describe my feelings as I listen to her sing, just wow ! Stay safe and stay well. 😷😎✌🏻🤟🏻🤙🏻🖖🏻
Thank you for a wonderful reaction video of the Norwegian national treasure. I can recommend her great versions of "O mio babbino caro" and "Sancta Maria". Looking forward for your next reaction of Sissel.
I keep coming back to Sissel video titled 'Sissel j u l. It is over 50 min & mostly or all Norwegian. It helps me relax & feel at home even though I do not know the language. I'm 68 & appreciate more S's work as an older woman. I'm so glad others are discovering S.
Remarkable about this clip is that it is from Sissel's All Good Things concert where she sings 'all over the place' in terms of song genre. For instance, next Pie Jesu, she sings Carrier of a Secret, a pop song of accumulative passion. With each song she alters her voice accordingly which must present its own challenge than if she sang within one genre.
Very much enjoy your reactions to Sissel. She has very recently release a song "I rest my eyes" that I am quite sure you would enjoy. As for older songs and videos the list is endless. From the show where she performed "Slow down" with the MTC, there were 2 songs I enjoyed, "O store gud" and the ABBA song "Like an angle passing through my room". But really whatever the language, whatever the style, Sissel is always most enjoyable.
Sissel is just fantastic! She was a young girl in Norway like Angelina and Aurora when she began singing. I really enjoy all three but Angelina is a little more relatable in overall musical styles. Sissel did all of the back up music in the Titanic movie and does a beautiful version of My Hart Will Go On. Amira is so good. Her first performance on HGT is remarkable and all of her later concerts are beautiful as well. Another young classical singer that is fantastic is Laura Bretan. She started on AGT age 13 and is now about 20. She has a bit more power than Amira, but uses it tastefully. I enjoy her many concerts and some single releases. There are many wonderful artists out there and we can appreciate them for the differences they create and the emotions they bring out depending on the circumstances we are experiencing at the time. I’m already subscribed and happy to support your wonderful reactions to these and other artists of this caliper. Thank you from Alaska
Again a very nice reaction. If you are looking for more Sissel soul music, try this ruclips.net/video/A1YKBrUqwIU/видео.html O Mio Babbino Caro, very classic, but with Sissel's control, she takes it to an other league. Enjoy!
Well done on commentary! I am a newly retired university voice instructor and was intrigued when your video popped up on my suggestion list. Im glad I clicked to hear this lovely performance with your response. My students performed the Faure’ Requiem version, but this would be a lovely option for a comparison. Brava!
Thank you, I love youre reactions on Sissel, Angelina and Aurora. 😀 I hope you will react to Sissel singing " Going Home " from her "northern lights" concert. Its mind blowing. From this concert you can pick anything and you won't go wrong.
A A great specialist in singing teaching succombs to the amazing artist who is Sissel . That's a great compliment , isn't it ? Thanks for your advice , Vocal Splendor ! Alain
Two of my favourites by Sissel are from her Northern Lights concert. She does an incredible version of Jesu joy of man's desiring, and also When you tell me that you love me with Jose Carreras which is stunning
I really enjoy your reactions. Thank you so much! I Will recommend a young Sissel singing Griegs Solveigs song. But my absolutely favourite is Slow Down which you already have reacted to 😊
You know, Sissel is 52 years now, but she has looked exactly the same for 30 years. She is the only woman both my father and I have had a crush on. (And maby also Helle Berry.)
Tabernacle orchestra. Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. Same concert as your Slow Down reaction. I promise you will love it! Originally an Abba song..
Hi Valerie! Thank you for another great reaction. What a great singer. I will check out more of her songs. And I think you reacted with mixed feelings to this piece, because it really is - as you said - comforting to those who are left behind. I think I saw you were " fighting" your emotions in the beginning. And I totally understand that, because of the sudden loss of your husband. I hope it was comforting to you and I'm sure it will make you stronger! Btw here's a link to another performance of Pie Jesu by Mirusia and Kimmy & the orchestra of André Rieu. Hope you like it. ruclips.net/video/WPlyqsbCADo/видео.html Take care.
Hi Valerie How are you. Tarja has a video of her singing this song. Have you heard of Charlotte Church she also sings this song and I think she was preteen or under 16. Charlotte this song between 1998 and 2001. Hey Valerie you should react to Tommy Johannesen from Sabaton singing You raise me up and it's a octave higher challenge, he also sings Hallelujah, and O Holy Night in Swedish.
If you want to hear her name pronounced properly, listen to the commentator after her performance here ruclips.net/video/wI8t1F1teDQ/видео.html ("The Old Castle" from Mussorgsky's "Pictures from an Exhibition") or here ruclips.net/video/kxVoHnepfuc/видео.html ("Surrender", originally a Neapolitan song from 1902 made famous by Elvis Presley.) - Perhaps as reactions?
GReat reaction to this wonderful performance by Sissel. And yes, you are so right that she does many genres. Her catalog is large, as in colossal. To get an idea of how colossal, this listing on wikipedia should be informative: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Sissel it fills fifty, that is 50, pages on my laptop...
If this hasn't been suggested already, you've got to hear this performance from 1987, a duet with the Danish Sebastian. The singing doesn't start until about two minutes into the video. ruclips.net/video/UizW7-UHVuU/видео.html
Thank you! Really interesting... Just a point to consider: Can it be, that she is interesting because of her Scandinavian essence? Her ability is obvious, but... Something deeper?
She was together with the man from Russia.Yes you are right after this she went abroud came back after one year in Korea and wanted me to be with her.He menace me and her because she realized that he was not the she wanted.
You asked for suggestions: Sissel gives a masterclass when singing Maria Weigenleid (The Slumber Song) ruclips.net/video/7ZE3HkikZk4/видео.html Or her astonishing rendition of A Vestland Vestland ruclips.net/video/5DTLr4YtaTk/видео.html
Very proud of Norway's angel and treasure. Sissel Kyrkjebø. Always been a part of my life. 👍 Love from Norway 🇳🇴
Her singing just get tears in my eyes. She gets through.

Wonderful reaction of Sissel and what makes her so special. ❤️
Sung like an angel.
The first time I noticed this song was watching a South Park episode. I quickly started Shazam to identify it.
Thank you. Knew you would love this one - or any other of her songs ♥️
Sublime!
What a treat!
Love her!
It doesn’t mention your name and I think you are both very beautiful and very wonderful in your understanding of Sissel.

Finnes det noe vakrere?
If you’re looking for a different side of Sissel I recommend the video on here of her singing Summertime and Crying in the Chapel.
Hi Valerie How are you. Tarja has a video of her singing this song. Have you heard of Charlotte Church she also sings this song and I think she was preteen or under 16. Sissel - Slow Down - Mormon Tab. Ch.
Did you know that Sissel actually sang the hauntingly beautiful humming intro to the movie Titanic?
Sissel is the voice in the movie Titanic.. 😊🌷

Even for the teacher in singing , Sissel appears almost not real . She opens her mouth wide only when necessary. Alain

No, I have not! Could you send me a link?

How would you compare above to: ruclips.net/video/Vr6ajtA5Otg/видео.html
RUclips censors a lot nowadays... I'm referring to 'Hayley Westenra', 'Pie jesu'.
Told you so.
I just want to merry her.
I am sure you are tired of O Mino babbina Caro. But when Sissel sings it?
I love youuuu

Death is easiest on the decedent.
Requiems, funerals, memorials, tears, gnashing of teeth, and rending of clothing are all for those left behind.
Absolutely!
Please Valerie hear Helena Fischer sing Ave Maria.
