Holy shit, at 9:02, Northernlion gets killed by the cobra's venomous spit, but he also catches his own blood into the Kapala and revives himself a split second later, and the music stops playing as if he was dead anyway.
And they never noticed! They didn't even notice the music cutting off!

this is easily the best spelunky video either of you have produced. The synergy is amazing, both in commentary and playstyle. I hope you guys recorded a lot of these!
Give him some credit! In 6 months he managed to get a subscriber. He must be brilliant.

I would watch this series for hours it's so good.
We need a marathon of this, like 5 videos you stocked up.
There's also the Arthurian tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight you know. Which might be from where Capcom got the idea of an upgraded armor for Arthur being green in the first place.
You could have gotten the KEY. Multiplayer doesn't allow for the leader boards but progress made in game will still be saved.
i love how they both cal it "dumb damage" and make the same noise when they make a mistake

It really was hard as shit to play without camera control, but I understand not being able to give it to both players.
The benefit of being friends for over a decade is that I can get away with it.
The spectacles can detect items that the Udjat Eye cannot such as mattocks in the wall.

You can set up a second control scheme in the options menu, if you want to share a keyboard. Or you can use a game pad for either one or both players.

Hey northernlion, if you stun a man eater plant and put it near the shopkeeper, it kills the shoperkeeper without anyone getting mad at you! Its like killing the shopkeeper with no drawbacks!

The White flag is who the camera is pointed on, if Ryan died the flag would have jumped on Mike, and would stay on him even if Ryan became alive again.

Can't help but feel if they simply made the camera zoom out instead of giving power to one player, similar to what they did in Fancy Pants Adventures, the co-op would have been much less agonizing for everyone who isn't the king.
I'm pretty sure it's because it detects secret levels.
It'll be mighty suspicious if NL gets the next door unlocked while Fox is there :p

you can get blood from dead bodies by sacrificing them. any enemy sacrificed will give blood.
Also, if you have the kapala you can whip the damsel 2 times without killing it and get blood.
I don't know if you know this but this video is over 4 years old.
You know that the one that have the flag is the leader the camera only follows him but if northernlion killed himself at the castlevania level micheal Would have gotten the flag
