Thank you for making my childhood dream up until now a reality. I've always wanted to play Metroid (and other NES games) with slightly better graphics, but play them in the style of the original. Thanks to awesome emulators like Mesen and dedicated people like you, my life is now complete. More people need to make awesome repacks of classic games.
@@genesisnova9863 I've played Zero Mission. It's good, but not the exact same game. Enhanced original games are rather intriguing. Best example of Nintendo officially doing this was the Mario All-stars games. (Though they did fix a bunch of stuff.)
I had some audio popping with the bomb sound effects, though perhaps that was an issue with using the libretro Mesen core rather than the standalone Mesen emulator. Alternatively, maybe it was a sound driver issue. I never could sort it out so I just lived with it.
I completed the whole game and it's very impressive. It looks and sounds amazing. There's only one thing I didn't like. The redesign of the Ridley boss fight. He was too high up, and projectiles were still at my level. It probably would've worked better if I could shoot diagonally but since thats not a feature in this game, not changing too much would've worked better. But overall I liked it very much.
i find fusiontroid, megatroid and 8bitTroid very funny 8bitTroid just nes metroid but with the map Fusiontroid is with the samus her fusion suit megatroid is with a megaman x sprite replace of samus and megaman x music
O.o mesen....... its.... amazing....... i'd love to see more games with the treatment, and retroarch adopting it ..... tryin to play ancient games with my kid and sometimes i can see the pain in his eyes with the visuals on some of the older games...... this would certainly help
No, this is running on Mesen, a very accurate and special feature enabled NES emulator, such as the ability to run NES games with HD packs. TO get this running on SNES Classic you would need to have RetroArch installed along with the Mesen core. I do believe it is possible, but I have yet to try.
Just wooow ,what was once just a fantansy,a wishfull thinking now has become finally reality, being able to play nes games in 16bit quality, sure games has to be patched and all the tiles & sound effects has to be replaced with new ones per game but the results speaks for them selfes, BTW i would be now surprised if nintendo gave those supermariobros games the exact same treatment to port it over to the snes under the name supermario allstars, among other games.. I really really can’t wait to see supermariobros 1,2 and 3 will get the same treatment for nes messen emulator.

looks like a sharp x68000 port
This kicked off my yearly-sh marathon of the series, and... damm, had more fun than I expected. Probably more than if I started with Zero Mission.
I LOVE that norfair music

I think it's like Ridley's fight in Metroid Mother
I never knew this existed! Thanks for introducing me!
My pleasure.

Um, HD, this is super metroid style, not HD
lol THANK YOU!!.
It has map right?
Oh no, the first game has no in-game map. These where the hardcore years.

Great, now it looks like a gamemaker fangame
but i love that i can use metroid analog synth remake
Are there any other games with HD texture packs like this one?
Yep, look them up at romhacking.net forums.
It's just Super Metroid assets...?

It would be really nice if someone released this mod like it is here instead of having to do the file swaps etc.
How can I play that? Which NES emulator do I have to use?
This feature is a MESEN exclusive.
Digital Foundry says this isn't HD
Is complete this game ??
It is the exact same game as the NES game, so yes.
adoraria ver Mother com texturas e músicas arranjadas
Não é algo impossível de ser feito...

I'll stick to the original.
... and I'll stick to zero mission lmfao
So this is the first Metroid dressed up like super Metroid !?! Cool !!!!
