Back when tejano musicians would make 2 to 3 albums a year. Every song on the record was good and everyone had their own style and no one sounded the same. Sombra was one of the best and Tony very nice and humble person
Lots of folks probably dont remember and have no reason to remember but La Sombra was one of the first, if not the first, to introduce the showmanship on stage for this genre. The drummer (Huerta) here and the bassist (Harvey) kept the sound going. In addition, La Sombra was the bridge(IMO) between the old school "Tejano/Chicano" music and the stuff that hit marketing in the late 80s and especially the 90s when Tejano was at its peak before its collapse.
The times when life had no worries, only good music and beer and hanging with the family. Covid didn't exist Global warming could've been prevented. Mayne will it ever be awesome again...
I’m 40yrs old and I still remember being at this show. Crazy to think how much time has gone by, but the music still gets me.
The Golden years of Tejano music. A great moment in music history for Texas.
If we could just go back to these times Tejano was the best.

Great to see the originals jamming...Rene, Harvey, Gavino, Jesse, Pepper, Cruz and Tony dancing with the squeezebox
Cant forget about Albert Tiger Diaz

To all the drummers out there. What the reason for the pillow inside of the Bass drum? Honest question, seen that a lot in the old days
Mark Melendez acoustics maybe?
To muffle the drum...easier to mic...
More solid sound

Mark Melendez the drummer in there being my cousin always told me it was for a muffled sound since they had all this stereo and stuff
