In many cases, the version we of as “History” is retold. The confusing part is when it’s retold in many versions as history progresses, with more subsequent additional details and biases. That is the nature of the biography of Tariq Ibn Ziyad, the Muslim commander who invaded and conquered much of the Iberian Peninsula in the early 8th century CE.
The video tells a personal account of the discovery of the varying versions of Tariq’s life, from an innocent and clear heroic account to one filled with new antagonists and much drama.
