Steph has been shooting threes since he was eight years old. His father is one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA. He played in the 90's. He helped Steph develop a faster release over tall players. Which allowed him to play at the college and NBA level.
@@CourtneyCoulston in his earlier days he use to shoot then get back on D when the ball was still in the air. That's how sure he was that it's going in.
@@pencildust9019 I've seen similar plays at the college level too. Two of them come to mind. Obi Toppin from Dayton took a three pointer from the corner in front of the opposing teams bench. He shot it and turned 180 degrees to stare down the players on the bench while the ball was still in the air. The other one that comes to mind was a couple of years ago. Kansas was playing West Virginia in the Big 12 Tournament final. Kansas stole an inbound pass and Frank Mason kicked the ball out to a wide open Devonte Graham, who had hit every three he had taken at that point. As Graham went up for the shot, Mason put both hands in the air to signal it was good and began heading down on defense, because he knew it was going in. The ball still hadn't left Graham's hand and Mason gave up great rebounding position, but he knew it was good.
Steff Curry, as Steven A. Smith has said, is the first player that teams have to see as a threat the moment he crosses the half court line..and for those who think he's a terrible defender, take a good look at James Harden.

Dear Courtney, he is also always at the top in free throw percentage so all the times he is fouled he usually makes from 1 to 3 points with free throws and anytime he is available to shoot technical fouls by the other team he is the one that tries the free throw. Unfortunately some of the players from his team that went to the finals again last year got hurt in the finals and now his fellow guard is still healing and early this season Steph broke his hand and he is healing so they are not doing good this year but hopefully next year they will be healthy and bounce back to the top.
@John Pirtle If you mean being on the Bandwagon because of how good they did for consecutive years you are wrong. I have liked the Warriors since I was old enough to choose even though I was a girl. My dad and grandfather are loyal to the team and my grandfather has always said he has been a fan of the Warriors since he watched Rick Barry play. YBN Cartii None of those guys are a better shooter than steph🤣402 threes in one season with over 45% from 3 for his career and that season, on track for the most 3’s in a career even with all of his injuries. Also has like the top 3 spots in 3’s in a season. Shall I KEEP GOING?

MambaGaming I got respect for curry but he definitely not even one of the best players of all time, maybe 3s but I still think there are some players better than him at 3 that are more consistent
Another thing not mentioned is that Curry is relatively short at 6'3" in comparison to most other players, including all the ones he shoots over. He also has an excellent inside game as he often scores... well from anywhere really. There are other clips that are not just 3 pointers of Curry's. He also shoots extremely well at the line, punishing any opponent that fouls him.
Please react to: Stephen Curry: Becoming a Champion Steph Curry- Triggered/Angry/Hyped Moments 2018 Stephen Curry- The Last Dragon Stephen Curry FUNNY MOMENTS- Welcome Back !! They are all amazing videos
When you saw him shooting, he was always about to look away before the ball gets in the. It was like he knows that the shot will get in the ring. He's really amazing
It's a lot of fun watching Steph; it's also a lot of fun watching you react. a few other topics you might look for in regard to Steph: 1. Curry no-look threes (when he's dialed in, he will launch a three, then not wait for it to go in before he runs back to play defense). 2. Curry ankle breakers (he makes other players fall down, or just look plain silly when they try to keep up with him). 3. Curry handles (related to ankle breakers. It's amazing the things he does to get around defenders on his way to the basket). 4. Curry assists (once the double and triple teams come, he shares the ball masterfully). You might have some fun watching and reacting to videos on those topics.
The warriors just moved into a new arena. As a tradition before a game at the old arena after warm ups before he would go back into the locker room Step would take one final shot from the entry tunnel to the side of the court and usually make it. This year he has been out most of the season with a broken hand
Hi Courtney. Really enjoy your videos! Sorry to hear you aren’t coming to the States. Would have enjoyed your reactions to things you saw in person. Wish you and your boyfriend all the best and happiness in your move back home. Tell your boyfriend I hope he appreciates what a gem he has in you!
You should watch a highlight tape of his because his shooting is obviously other worldly but he can attack the basket like no other he is so crafty and he even has a few dunks
Courtney, what you should do is go hunting for Steph Curry's practices. They've become legendary. Between his dribbling routines, using a ball in each hand, and the tunnel shots, (yeah, shooting from well off the court and making them from a ridiculous angle) it's all well worth a looksie. Keep up the fun though, you're amazement is a joy for us to witness.
Steph Curry was not heavily recruited out of high school. He wanted to play for Virginia Tech as that was the school his father played for, however they offered him a walk on spot so he went to Davidson on a scholarship and in is sophomore season led that team to an Elite 8 appearance in the NCAA tournament. He declared for the draft after his junior season and was selected 7th overall. His play style completely changed the NBA as teams are starting to rely on 3 point shots because back in 2009 it was more of give the ball to the big guys and let them do the scoring as the 3 pointer was seen as a novelty

Man, the game has changed so much. Players like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (and many others) probably shoot hundreds of 3-pointers a day to practice. In a recent interview I heard Larry Bird (he played in the 1980's if you did not know and famously won the first three 3-point shooting contests) say that they never practiced shooting 3's when he was playing. It was considered a bad shot. This season James Harden is leading the league in 3-point attempts per game with 12.8 attempts. I looked it up and in 1985 (just to pick a year) Darrell Griffith led the league in 3-point attempts per game with a measly 3.3! 3.3 in a whole game. Far fewer than 1 per quarter. And he led the league. Crazy.

His one of my favorite players. He has his bad nights where he does 1-15 0-11. But honestly who doesn’t have a bad night. Only college that would give him a shot was Davidson. Everybody else said he was too small.
