They look beautiful and that is it. Firstly the price is far too much, considering this. The wood is not termite treated, most important, especially for Thailand. Secondly, the timber that is used is usually coated with a stain varnish to display the grain so that all other flaws are hidden. Another aspect is they do not give you a certificate to certify that the timber has legally been purchased. Most of these houses are built from timber that comes from exploited sources, be careful. They are sold as a nutshell excluding all the necessary items. Then comes the transport to where you want the house erected, and the erection fee.
simon dip this is special termite resistant teakwood of some sort so is real expensive. Probably a farang price I’ve been quoted and also were we are here is quite affluent-ish. Like there seems to be a bit of money around. Maybe that’s why the price is high.
This type of house should be even more popular if have extra floating bouyancy to prevent water from wetting feet. Tie, like boats, to tall concrete columns with ropes. Float up-down with flood waters. Malaysia and Thailand should combine engineering knowledges and design for the future.
Every kid need a clubhouse! Sadly, they aren't all teak and the wood hasn't fully dried. They are a nightmare to maintain. Termites and other critters are a challenge for sure.
I do like the look of them from the outside but they really are small for the price, but understandable considering the wood and craftsmanship. On the inside they just look like a sauna room. Not for me but great to see.
Very interesting and The finish looks really good but I think a conventional build would get you a lot more for the money. Seen your woodworking skills, Could knock one up yourself in a few weeks I reckon.
James Abroad we went with conventional build ie the extension in the end. I think putting one of these together myself would not be a possibility!! Thanks all the same
Difficult to see where they sit in terms of space and value. I do love wood and the craftmanship is obvious . However, I have seen a 2 bed, 2 bath 60sqm house on another channel ( Retired and Living the Dream) for 1.3m THB and a bamboo small home (The Naked Guru in Thailand) for 45,000THB, admitted smaller, but you could treat them as if they were container homes and have several linked. Great to see the options though. Thumbs up and subscribe.
So I guess these are being made here but will eventually be sited somewhere else. They will probably sort plumbing and electrics once they are at their final destination. Also these people work with wood and maybe they’re not skilled in all these other services. Also it will probably be up to the client which room is a bedroom and which is a kitchen or bathroom so no point doing it at this stage. Thanks for your interest.
I really like watching your videos but you need to improve your camera work. Need to keep it still and dont move it to fast. I m getting dizzy after watching it 5 mins😁 .
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. I’m sure this will get better with more practise and experience. I have been trying to “pan” around a bit more, rather than going to fast and making it jerky. Thanks for your helpful comment. Glad you like the video.
@@jasemate2010 I meant I really like watching your videos. I and my partner have wacthed almost your vedios when we found it😁 I like your DIV as well very good attempting. Richard Kliskey I think they were special prices for me. I’m sure you could get them down a bit but even then still too much. You can have a proper house built for £30,000!!!
I absolutely love the wooden house and the prices are not too bad or cheaper than the mobile home I am living in right now.

I can build them for a third of the price in hat yai
Your in thailand
Why a lot of Thailand peoples built Wooden house than concrete house?
Try hiring a team of carpenters to build one. You won’t get what you want Thais work better for Thais that’s why the price is competitive
Is their a link to the company that makes these houses?
