RUclips won’t let you curse but I guess abusing animals is ok?
Apparently, I saw a few ads during my research
RUclips doesn't allow feeding videos because it's seen as graphic and animal abuse and it seems only good pet tubers get slammed for it like snake Discovery and goherping and yet these people still have these videos.
@@Nellzurkat and for the most part Snake Discovery and GoHerping don't do live feeds. It's no more graphic or animal abuse than cooking and eating steak or chicken imo
I saw that there was a petition going around against the channel, and that the college the channel claims to be based out of was being contacted but I never could find out if anything happened
Shawn woods wasn’t even allowed to show vultures because they’re associated with death or something stupid like that
Reptile Channel is disgusting, but your planted tank with green Neons is BEAUTIFUL
Edit: they may actually be cardinals. Either way they *POP*
Right? A dark substrate + bright green plants + any kind of Neon Tetra is just a surefire way to get a good looking tank with the minimum amount of effort. It's just a good combo.
What’s that White fish in there?
@@vinokai that's a platinum angel fish. So beautiful!
Jk I do prefer a clean looking tank tho

They’re cardinals
You know what's disturbing? Chickens are actually fairly smart, amd they learn after one incident. I have a flock of chickens and sadly lost one to a hawk. Since that day, they dart from cover to cover, never staying in the open fields. Even butterflies send them scattering now. Those poor chicks will be scarred for life.
TheAlumentum my chickens must be dumb as rocks then. They never seem to learn! 😂
@@morganfreeman9106 mine are pretty dumb too. Only 1 of my 14 chickens is smart. My ducks are definitely smarter.
Awh I'm so sorry :(

“Be respectful to the food item.” This needs to be spread more. It doesn’t matter if it’s destined for your plate or the plate or your pet. It’s still a living, breathing, thinking creature and it deserves your respect.
Cuddles with Cavies fun fact-
At the science museum near me, they have bugs as a snack in the vending machines (they are actually pretty good, I’ve had some great salt and vinegar crickets there). All the bugs are humanely raised and killed.
Yes 👏🏻
Mynti Girl that’s awesome and your way braver than me 😂
Bunny Bleh no, seriously, if it was placed in your mouth without you knowing, you might’ve thought it was a chip, but haha it’s a cricket! There is also barbecue mealworms if that’s more up your alley! 😂
Mynti Girl how do they taste though is the real question and also where are you from?
Snake discovery got demonitized for showing reptile feedings that were human and not the main focus. It’s really frustrating because Snake Discovery actually used those feeding videos to teach people about the animal being fed. I can’t believe this is a thing.
@SaltedSaltr Even after loads of people reported them. If the 'report' button doesn't do it's job, what the hell is it for?
RUclips doesn’t care if a channel that is educational is better, they care that the shitty, abusive, inhuman channels make money. That’s what they care about. Not good, appropriate information, just money, so nothing will be done about it
It’s because RUclips itself has no damn idea what it’s doing. Sure may have SOME idea, and come up with ideas and rules they think will work but most of the time just backfires. Rarely do one of their new “Rules” actually work out for itself
*Humane* sorry that was bugging me

Oh my word, yes. I was thinking the bad recitation of the script in the first clip was weird enough but then the over the top narration was reminding me of something and I couldn’t think of what. But you’re right. Troom Troom.
I get dark web vibes from their videos. They need to be blacklisted. I found them on accident while I was researching corn snakes prior to getting my little pepper. Disturbed the hell out of me -- I had to switch the video as fast as possible.
Dani Leaf Same! But my kids found it...fortunately they brought straight to my attention and we talked about it. They were really upset by this and weren’t sure if they wanted to get a snake anymore. So we watched some Goherping and Snake Discovery together, a lot lol, like a lot of videos!
We just got our hatchling corn snake Sunday evening. We are in love!
Imagine some 12 year old looking up information before they want a snake
Jen C poor child
I’m at 3/4ths of the video, so IDK if he touched on this or not. But another video exposing this channel posted how the owner of the channel and the snakes is the same guy who frequented a hardcore vore fetish forum. He even had a count for the animals that his snakes ate. The dude totally jacks off to giving the snake weird meals and acting like if it was a ravenous monster, it’s sickening.

I was thinking the same thing. The snake looked pretty chill.
This is a pet peeve of mine so much. People just trying to monsterfy” an animal. Its mostly annoying when its an animal you love.
Its also really just stupid, like the stories you hear about people’s swerving off the road or lighting a house on fire cause they found a spider. Like... really? Its not a huge horror monster trying to kill you, if anything a napkin or a can of raid is very effective. (Course, I would try to just get it outside)
We sneks are gud bois

Kirsten Webb 20? Why so many?
Because I'm a crazy rat lady. They have their own double bedroom. It's also my business, I make and sell rat hammocks toys, accessories and gifts for rat lovers
@Amanda B not in captivity it isn't! In the wild yes. Its dangerous for the snake because it can get bitten and it's horrific to the rats! You have proved my point though, "people are the most dangerous thing on earth" case study

Could the "man-eater" anaconda have a respiratory tract infection? The mouth looks off.
Edit: nevermind you mention it in the video.
I hope the people who disliked meant "I dislike the Reptile Channel" because you did a very good video on it without going too deep into the specifics
I dislike every video they made
The dislikes are probably from the idiots who subscribe to the "reptile channel" if they watch crap like that all day its no wonder they're haters 😉
I think Dogpatch Press said it best "Forcing feeding for pleasure and profit begs the question: whose appetite is really being served?"
I'm against de-platforming, but they are clearly abusing animals (probably for sexual gratification) and that violates youtube's terms of service, and their channel should be shut down.
Edit: They ARE in fact violating the youtube TOS. If you find a video that clearly shows animals in distress and suffering for the entertainment (sexual or otherwise) of people, click the three dots next to 'More' under the video, click report, click 'violent or repulsive content' and click 'animal abuse.' You can then fill in the box with information that helps explain the situation, and click 'submit.
Hey I'm kinda new to this drama, could you explain how the people you mentioned could be sexually abusing their animals?
@@slytherinbabe3492 He's not saying they sexually abused animals, but that they could have been getting sexual gratification from seeing the animals get abused.

I'm a hunter and grew up around farm animals and I find this revolting, despite having killed animals for food with my own weapons I used with my own hands. That channel makes my skin crawl.
That tank is gorgeous.
Wow it’s so great and educational to pose snakes as dangerous. That they eat children and puppies. 🙄
But that’s exactly why they have a crap ton of views and not as many subs. They play on fear and clickbaiting and shock. Not education.
And they have a vore fetish

It's always a bad thing to feed your animals with live animals because live animals can cause parasites, infections, and more. It's just not safe.
This channel is not good, not only does it seem they treat there feeding animals like garbage (The pup scene honestly made me sad, since they're such nice pets to have) but they make these animals seem bad and dangerous (and while they can be, so can every animal) they are inforcing the fear of reptiles and are hurting what so many other reptile channels are trying to fix.
Snakes are everything to me and to see that snake be in such bad shape makes me cry.
I agree with everything you said however I find nothing wrong with prekilled and frozen rats and mice for my noodles. The important thing is know that you are getting them from a reputable source and if you thaw them in the fridge like you would with our food you can eliminate most risk. My adult ball python has never had live food and now she doesn't even strike. She just takes it from my hand and swallows. I also think (no scientific evidence) that this cases them to not associate anything alive as a good source reducing the chances of getting bit. In the 12 years I have had her she has not even struck at me once.
Brandished Nail on my goodness, I didn't mean to say already dead animals.
I was trying to say that live animals are bad for feed, because they can hurt your snake or other reptile.
(I fixed my above comment as well)
My bad. I misunderstood your original post.
Seeing the monitor so close to those rat pups made my blood boil. My mom and I love rats. Those pups could have been adopted, but these jerks decided to use them for what's essentially an internet publicity stunt.

Rats could easily chew through a tub. Straw though? Idk why a person would keep that in their house.
@@KillerofGods she pulled it out and there was no hole. The tub was filled with only straw. The tub was just sitting empty in a closet and it was just laying on top. This couldn't have been more staged.

Erin Myers My thoughts too about the snake not eating recently.
You can also tell the rats were put their because that is NOT what a wild rat nest looks like
(HUGE tw for animal abuse/vore)
God I hate JonahVore/The Reptile Channel. It's basically a gateway into IRL vore where people can be like, "animals eat animals in the wild! what's wrong with a snake eating a live animal?", nevermind the fact that a pet snake is not 'in the wild' and neither is trapping an animal to be eaten alive. Even, theoretically, if it was a natural encounter, it doesn't matter when the channel owner has ties to vore sites that get off to animal death. And especially when the Reptile Channel monetizes their abuse.
Unfortunately, The Reptile Channel is just one of many disgusting irl vore producers, and it's sad when you can look at TRC and go, 'oh, at least an actual animal is eating the other animal and not a human'. Still unexusable but god - one of the websites I lurk in highlights zoosadists and there was recently a post exposing a Discord server that made abhorrent videos similar to TRC but with humans eating small animals. I didn't look at any of the logs (because it had pictures) but the descriptions of abuse happening are sickening.
I'd best compare TRC as a gateway channel into worse scenarios of abuse, such as when a few months back openly pedophile communities were exposed on RUclips. Much like pedophilia, these snuff videos are spread throughout the community. Videos that cannot be hosted on RUclips (which SHOULD include TRC!) are transferred to more discrete platforms that also share videos, like Telegram.
It's so disgusting that animals are only seen as objects in the eyes of the law - the majority of people who swallow animals alive as a fetish or like the people involved in the Kero the Wolf drama face minimal legal repercussions for torturing animals. I hate that The Reptile Channel is considered one of the more mild forms of abuse.
Sorry for my rambling, but this topic really bothers me.
Edit: I can 100% assure you that the reason they often use pigs is because they are obsessed with large reptiles eating humans, which pigs closely represent.
Last edit: While NERD's video about TRC also highlighted maltreatment of the animals on the channel (most notably respiratory issues (which for the love of god I hope TRC isn't putting off treating because its troubled breathing creates nice "~maw shots~")), there is also confirmation that JonahVore has force-fed his animals prey.
True dictionary
I didn't even know about this fetish until now. I wish I didn't know about this fetish. I will stay far away from this channel.
@@cheriremily9360 good
I find that it's only okay to feed live if the animal really needs live food. Insectivarous animals are a prime example. They tend to need the stimulation of chasing the insect, or at least need the movement to find it. My beardie wont eat pre-killed crickets. Same can sometimes go for snakes who are still used to live food. Its should only be a NECESSITY, not an OPTION.
@@nimbus997 I completely agree; I also have an insectivorous lizard (leopard gecko) who only eats live crickets. The main difference between that and The Reptile Channel is that the creator is 100% confirmed to have a vore fetish and produces live feeding content at the detriment of the animals involved (both the live prey and the predators visibly ill from eating wild-caught prey). One archived callout post about him includes a picture of him force feeding his pet crow a mouse. New England Reptile's video about him notes that his largest snake quite obviously has respiratory issues. With this context, I'd like to think no one would side with TRC.
Thank you. We need more channels like this. Respecting both sides of life while keeping any animal should be a priority. Not sure why people feel the need to spread fear or disrespect towards any animals that are kept. That is why education is incredibly important. Again thanks.
Reptile channel? Nah. Vore channel? I'll believe it.

No your not the only one !
It sounds like Troom Troom. A video farm. A channel farm. Just a channel to farm videos. Plus animal abuse which makes it so much worse!
"They may only live for three weeks, but those three weeks should be good." I love that.
My wife and I recently bought a BCI boa from an excellent breeder, but the little guy was raised on live mice and refuses to eat frozen or pre-killed mice. This unfortunately means that I have to feed Ed(my boa) live mice, which I would like to wean him off of as soon as possible. I buy my feeders from Ed's breeder, as he also takes fantastic care of his feeder mice and rats, and I buy them a few at a time. I have an enclosure specifically for them in which I provide them with proper enrichment and a good variety of food. If I'm going to feed them to a snake, the very least I can do for them is give them a comfortable and happy life until their time is up.
As someone with the particular....interest that the Reptile channel is supposed to cater to, I'm glad to see more people shining a spotlight on them. This is something that should only be in fantasy, not involving real, living animals for the sole purpose of "entertainment." It's cruel and wrong, these animals shouldn't be treated in that way. The fact that they can't even keep the "stars" of their show healthy or seemingly feed them a proper diet speaks volumes, and on top of that to have the gall to pose it as educational is just sickening. All it does is hurt both communities it's trying to appeal to, though the herp community is much more tarnished by their reputation. Hopefully, RUclips can get its shit together and ban this channel for animal cruelty and abuse.
I’ve seen clips from this channel on Pinterest and I just...I can’t.

That channels looks like a badly producción of troom troom with reptiles, just plain click bait using the image of reptiles to attract views :/
And vore.
The amount of comments on that channel saying "it's natural....what do you think happens in the wild?" are also concerning. If people think those videos in any way, replicate a snake's natural environment, then they really need to read a couple books and watch a couple documentaries.
If you have to make that interaction occur within a domestic environment then it isn’t natural, full stop.
It’s such a paper-thin excuse.
There needs to be a Petition to get them removed or something to that effect

It was a very familiar kind of energy that has always disturbed me. But when I saw the screenshot of a Fur Affinity journal, my fears were confirmed before you mentioned the purpose of the channel.
I 100% agree, that this channel is just to satisfy a fetish. It's just disgusting. In my studies, there are three groups of people when it comes to animals: rights, wellness and exploitation. Rights is like the ASPCA (PETA would be an extreme example of this). Wellness is anyone like you, me, your subs and members of veterinary medicine. Exploitation, are these assholes who run and enjoy Reptile Channel. There's nothing good about them and chances for redemption is minimal. Funny how these damned monsters of people are deemed more acceptable in RUclips's eyes, when the whole purpose of the channel is so obviously focused for a disgusting purpose.
They use pigs probably because they are the most human like animal they could get their hands on

Hey! Been subbed since a couple hundred subs and wanted to say your way of delivering lines has improved a whole ton, and I'm proud of you dude! Keep up the good work calling these people out; here's to getting to ten thousand subs! :D
It's a fetish channel. I forget the name of the fetish, but it's all about swallowing things whole. That's why the banner is a man being swallowed whole. It feeds into that other fetish of over-feeding to the point a depicted character ends up with a severely bloated midsection. (I have to emphasize for you since people in the comments aren't seeing that part of the video, apparently.)
Chayyiel vore
My family and I are fans. Keep up the great content
Love your videos and wish more people new about the investigations you do! Always good information that’s been cross referenced and researched properly. Your tanks beautiful btw. Keep up the good work bud 🤘🏻
i swear its a vore channel, it wouldnt be the first time a fetish account emerged on youtube.
First and I soooooooo love your channel you soooo need hundred million subscribers
You’re not first lol
the math in the beginning got me hooked lol
welcome to nerd town
Welcome? I’m the secret mayor of nerd town my day job is literally just about reading numbers.
The hate in their comments largely outnumbers the like, and whenever I see people who like the channel, I check and they're all really young and make content on bad games.
While that snake is definitely sick, It is also normal to hear large snakes breathing occasionally. The line seems to be boa constrictors and up.
The rabbit hole goes a little bit deeper.
Jonah used to post in a forum called GulpForum, he promoted his fetish videos in there but when his original channel got deleted he made a new account in the forums, the account is called ReptileChannel (original right?) And a little bit after making the ReptileChannel he made a Patreon account where his GulpForum friends donated and made requests for him.
And to top it all off, he has a Fur Affinity account, moderators and community members know about him but they don't do anything because vore is a normal fetish in there
They should actually stop this dude because of animal abuse, I wish that furaffinity got better staff to ban him for real life animal abuse but nope.
Also, the snake has a nose rubbing issue, I’m not sure but the head shape looks really odd to me.
Emily is amazing!!!!!!!!!
I feel like out of all of the Chanel’s I’ve seen snake discovery is my favorite. She keeps her animals clean and in superb health. I’ve not seen one of her animals sick unless it is one she has gotten to rehabilitate. Also she does not house sick animals near well animals like others
The Reptile Channel kind of seems like a weird vore channel. AH, I finally got to the part of your video where you address it probably being a vore channel. Still, before you addressed it, every one of the clips that you showed made me really, really uncomfortable.
This puts so much into perspective as to what can be considered a predator. These humans are so vile and predatory and their poor reptiles are so chill, this makes me sick to my stomach. Abusing reptiles by taking advantage of their need to eat, then using that to abuse other live animals???
I own a snake currently, and I've owned lovely dumbo rats in the past, I have no idea how or why humans would do any of this.
Same.
Brian barcyzk or however it's spelled is actually pretty bad too
Yeah. He's been covered.
He’s not really. 99% of the people complaining about him have never been to his facility. I have twice.
I've always loved that channel until a few years ago when I started to study herpitoligy(I probably spelled that wrong) and noticed a lot of things wrong how he takes care of the animals
When you showed the clip on how you could hear the snake with the respiratory infection breath, I noticed how it barely gave constant tongue flicks- which is pretty unnatural for snakes.
The footage and stories from those videos are definitely fabricated and staged, just to put on a show. Their videos seem so unprofessional and just,,, wanting to show off how DANGEROUS and OO SCARY reptiles are rather than try to actually teach people more about these animals and what they do, how they live, how to care for them, etc
That's so sad. That poor snake! That definitely didn't look like any snake yawn I'm familiar with, and I've been handling danger noodles since elementary school.
Thanks for not showing any of the graphic stuff! I really liked this video!
Keep it up dude doing great
I used to think that the anaconda feeding was normal, because you had to give them live prey (some snakes r picky). But now I see. Thx
Those voices seem super faaake !! Thats a beautiful snake sad its sick
Hey I ve been watching you now for a few weeks and I wanted to thank you for being one of very little people that talk about this serious overlooked topic. I really enjoy your videos since they are straight to the point. Not about peoples drama in their personal life but it is really about the care and animal, animal abuse.
😱😱😱 *gasps in Shane dawson*
You’re a real one my guy. Every single one of these videos is feeding, why, you’ll have to dig deeper
Yes! I love it when people talk about The Reptile Channel. NERD has a good video on them too. It’s just awful
There was a dude a while back called reptiles uncaged, don't know if he's still around cuz I haven't watched him in years, but he legit just had a room in his house full of loose lizards snakes a mice.
he started off relatively fine just keeping small stuff like anoles but as he got more views he stared going off the rails and get like tortoise and shit like that. Then when someone made a video calling him out he just did a reaction video saying that dude was jealous. Idk if it's still up but I'd be interesting to see your opinion on his channel
Grats on 7k, I joined at 6.9k lol
Nice
Emily is awesome! Her and husband and their channel has completely changed my opinion of snakes and would to love to own one when I feel more comfortable with getting one! Still a little spooked 😜
are you gonna talk some about your animals? the fish tank in your back is really nice and i would like to see more of it
Considering it but I don’t know what I want those videos to be about, working on the angle so to speak
honestly know nothing about snakes, but looking at that anaconda gave me shivers. you can just tell the poor thing is sick
