After surviving the Helene disaster back in September here in North Carolina I certainly don't want to see flooding anywhere, but this is a breathtakingly beautiful part of Scotland. Love your content
A few months time and the Lock Arkaig ospreys will be back from their Africa migration. The webcam nest is a must watch as they produce chicks, although last summer was tough to watch.
Hah! My dad did his WW2 Commando training on (and in) Loch Arkaig (based at Achnacarry). Luckily a little bit of rain didn't put them off! And spare a thought for the poor workman who's holding up that Roadworks sign. Happy New Year to you all! ☔
WOW Won't be breaking out the Foster Grants any time soon.... A tad different from my last visit.... Stay safe. I hope 2025 is kind to you with good health, wealth and happiness. 💋 "Slàinte mhath"🥂🍾♥🏴🏴🏴Best wish from Linda.
From the road sign it can only be about 150mm deep at the sign. But if you keep to the centre of the track on the top of the camber it can be driven through in this state. It is made worse by the wind blowing all the way down the loch and causing the waves to brake over the wall of the track going left to the WW2 commando training estate at Achnacarry.

I live in co durham dad and I had a days fishing there about 63 or64 a jet fighter flew right down the loch terrified me dad was fine saw it many times during the war there was also a duwk on the Loch side often wondered if its still there
@AlexExplorer Thanks, that worked! Good job it wasn't windy, lol - I've stood on that bridge trying to hold a golf brolly so my sister could take a photo without getting drowned (it wasn't raining! ) she managed to get a couple of very abstract pics! The noise is incredible, but what a sight.
Jings Alex, when I asked this morning ..... Foof! that's a lot Shudder to thinnk what it's like further up .... some of the streams CAN be awful in spate. Och mannie, did ye no' take a fotie of the Waterfall ? . But I'm not complaining ... unlike the Deer and the Wild Boar - find any swimming down the river ? Take care, we appreciate your efforts. Happy New Year Slàinte Mhath!

I used to watch it as well but most of the time it was offline.
That looks so cold, but thank you for posting, keep well and best wishes for the New Year, From North Yorkshire

That reminds me: must get myself a pair of wellies soon … 😊
I always have mine in the car.
That will wash away some of the unwanted tourists😂
And their unwanted money?
Absolutely, don't want dirty money here lol

The roadworks sign is somewhat ironic... Take care out there.

There will be Standpipes in the streets next week 🤣

@@discoverydave8541 well that was an unfortunate murder of our language. Slàinte mhath, was what I think you were aiming for..
Good job BSW is shut down for Xmas/New Year. There's no logs coming out of Glen Dessary this week!
My car was parked there in August 😳
Is that the road
I wonder if flooding by fresh water is different to sea water 🤓
both are wet.
I prefer fresh water. It's a huge difference. Most of the equipment can be repaired after fresh water floods.
its what happens when it rains alot init !
No to niezle zalało nowy rok wodnisty w tym miejscu
Come back in six months and see what the difference is.😊
A day without a rain and it will be back to normal
And it's only 1/1/2025 😮 UK.
No - just the loch claiming back it's land from man made roads and paths.
What a terrible way to start the year. So sorry.
That's worse than I've ever seen it 😮
Terrible 😢
