I can’t wait because I was excited about Akuma release until I played online and that’s pretty much the only character I’ve been fighting against. I’m going to switch to Ryu for now and just hope that they add Gill to the roster.

This is really counterproductive to a discussion of both characters gameplay which is versatility vs pure power. Ryu’s new update gives him massive gorilla damage, almost comparable to early Marisa (new Marisa has even more damage however) which as we see in the video absolutely melts Akuma. But Akuma’s new kit is incredibly diverse, giving a good player the tools to constantly deliver pressure in any range with any number of tools, from his command grab to his absolutely disgusting fast fireball.

Buy it. Pretty fun game at mid to high level. Lower to mid can be extremely scrubby tho.

Most ryu players are scrubby af, this is one of them for sure..shuto dropped like 5-6 round ending combos..not sure tf happened
