For the band’s 3rd ever show, the fans embraced Billie Joe’s call to dance and there was a huge mosh pit operating almost continuously throughout the concert and many front row fans were frequently bumped onto the stage. The Ivy Room is a bar and music venue which has a capacity of only 196 people. Billie Joe Armstrong also introduced the band to the fans with their real names this time! The Longshot band members were Jeff Matika (bass), Kevin Preston (guitar) and David S. Field (drums).
They also sold their new 7" vinyl EP for $10 in addition to some new t-shirts. After the show, everyone hung out with the fans to sign autographs and take pictures. Some fans got to talk with Adrienne and we got Kevin’s and David’s autograph, all of which was very nice. Mack Narragon and Bill Schneider also hung out with the fans in line before the show. Dead Sound opened for the first Coverups show in Albany and again at The Longshot show in SF.
The band previously performed earlier in the week in San Francisco at Thee Parkside, and is set to play next week in Costa Mesa at The Wayfarer and The Redwood Bar in LA later this month in April. Similar to The Coverups shows, all their performances will be held at very small venues.
Many of the fans recognized each other from previous Green Day, Coverups and Longshot concerts. However, because the Ivy Room could only allow in fans 21 years old and over, some fans could not make it.
Billie Joe (after ‘Cult Hero’): I think we should start the whole fu*king set over… Let’s play ‘Kill Your Friends’ one more time, don’t you think? Now that we’re all warmed up, let’s play ‘Kill Your Friends’ :P (fans cheer)
Fan: We love you!! We love you!! Can I talk to you afterwards?
Billie Joe: What’s that?
Fan: …I want to talk to you afterwards!
Billie Joe: Oh boy… here we go… lol

whelp green day has hardly played a single song since the tour supporting the original release, so who knows. A friend and I often joke about how they never play anything from the trilogy, and it's really sad. Glad that some of the songs are at least getting some of the spotlight here

Aguante la trilogia papa, la ame desde el primer momento en que la escuche. Casi todas las canciones son simplemente fantasticas. Y super reladas. algunas cancionces son un poco chotas, pero hay muchas que valen la pena, Como esta y lazy bones, entre otras.
Tienes razon la trilogia esta infravalorada pero la cancion de 21st century breakdown tambien ,no la tocan hace 10 años
