What a great video. Thank you, Truck King for taking the time and effort to put this out there. A ton of great info all in one video. Also, props for getting the same trim level and color matching every truck! Hats off to you guys. My first car was a 2004 Ford Ranger in white and I want my next (and probably last) vehicle to be a Super Duty H.O. Diesel.
I love the Truck King channel! This format of going through all the options is fantastic! As someone who is looking to purchase a truck as well as ATVs I would love to see more of these type of videos for the different manufacturers!
The SD bed is probably a bit narrower between the wheel wells so that is has more clearance for duallies, the inside track width typically is a bit narrower than the SRW.
Ford Motor Company has just filed the patent - to install listening devices on all their new vehicles. They want to listen to all your conversations and not just your conversation, they will have one module that will listen to the driver and another one that will be geared to listening toward the passenger. It will be able to determine whether you're in a serious conversation and when's the appropriate time to interrupt you with an ad.” (There is no way this is just for serving you ads)... I'll pass on Ford!
a poultry plant near me uses f350's 6.7 turbo dually with a 5th wheel trailer to haul Moffetts to barns and it's a nice rig, decent fuel mileage on the highway and you can comfortably drive 6 hours without getting a sore back
I have a 22 ranger lariat FX4 here in the states. It's insane to me that the same trim and packaging for the 24s is $10,000 more expensive than what I paid. A big screen and digital gauge cluster is not a justification for the price increase.
The dampened tailgate is just an overblown feature. Absolutely nobody opens a tailgate and just lets it drop. Quit doing this. The rear step built into the rear bumper is still the best option for a rear step. Finally a sunroof is just the worst thing ever put on any vehicle. I do wish the Maverick was offered with a standard cab and longer bed option.
Nope, I just think it's stupid how they always crack the tailgate open and then let it slam. Normal people open the tailgate and use their hand to lower it down. I also have a sunroof in my car and it just cooks you when the sun is out. I bought it used or I would have never gotten it.
The dampened tailgate is great👍 in construction for 30 yrs and i absolutely love it. Love the gm steps in the bumpers and the bed sides. Love the gm tailgates....
I have one on my Chevy and I hate it. It's so slow I usually grab it and pull it down. When you had a tailgate that wasn't dampened did you just let it slam down? I've had them for 45 years and haven't done it one time. I always use my hand to lower it.
Less profits, and the simplify offerings so they can be like everyone else. I choose to buy a ford because of it's configuration in drive train, hauling and cabs. Now, they are trending toward the luxury truck market that consumers seem to want.
And all the frames are the classifications by the US government but also please pay attention when you look at one of these trucks whether from ford, GM, or ram these frame or truck classifications are all the same. The frames are all classified in the following list: Maverick - 1/8th ton Ranger- 1/4 ton F-150- 1/2 ton Lightning- 5/8th ton F-250- 3/4 ton F-350- 1 ton F-450- 1 1/2 ton F-550- 1 3/4 ton F-650- 2 tons F-750- 2 1/2 tons
If the maverick was still priced at 20k id buy one its perfect for my needs. Im 20 and single i need a good daily driver with some bed capability and somethinf stylish lol the maverick fits me well. But why buy one when its over 30k and the ranger is the same price and larger. Also in my state theres pmenty of used f150s for the prices of mavericks with the same amount of miles on them. If the new rsnger didnt have suxh a massive screen i would like it a lot more too.
Ford lost my interest in F-150s when they dropped HDPP. My next truck be a choice between Ford/GM/Chev as all these are in the same ball park now without HDPP. When Ford offered HDPP, it was not a choice, Ford won based on Payload/MaxTow. If they choose to offer it again on the F-150 or make an F-200 with HDPP like payloads, I'm game. 8' bed is also a big feature for me. I liked the Lightning, for different reasons, when it was lower priced. Once that changed, Lightning was off the list. The RamCharger may be interesting if/when that's on the market. Maverick price increases make it less desirable now than at launch. A Friend has a Maverick with 1500lb payload and he uses it, but tiny bed is his main issue. HD trucks are outside of my interests/needs.
I've yet to have a plumbing connection leak....... in my truck anyway. All of the recalls in all the trucks I currently own/lease have been nothing burgers. No engine replacement required like for some manufacturers.
@@cwqrpportablemine left me on the side of the road with 1083 miles on the odometer and an empty cooling system in July. In Texas. I still believe Ford is the best truck as long as you’re willing to tolerate all the warranty issues from shitty build quality.
Ford need a better designer. Ford ranger is the worst looking mid size truck design inside out, period. F150 interior look so cheap. Ford has all the features, comfort driving plus, but the design. They need to step up..
Maverick should be discontinued…can’t believe ford is wasting resources to make a ridgeline competitor. Ranger is generic like all the other small ford products. Trash. F150 is best half ton on the market. Superduty…especially deleted…best hd pickup. Lightning….should be made only for employees of the epa.
Maverick in a single cab with a longer bed would be nice
Love this channel but hate current automotive trends

When will you be able to review the Ford ranger with the 2.7 ecoboost?
Stephen, The Ford lineup is just a F-100 short of greatness.
I remember when lariat WAS the highest trim lol
great review. hope you can do this with all the makes of trucks.
Thanks for creating this review. It was condensed but helpful bc it basically was 6 videos rolled into 1.
I liked the format of going through the different trucks. Hope you do the other manufacturers the same way.

It’s the “conversation enhancement” system GM just launched one in their Escalade

Great video guide of these beautiful trucks! Loving my latest; a 2024 F150 Lariat Powerboost. You’re right, that Ranger is very capable.
All of them overpriced by 25-35%

the 250 and up have the old gear shifter? I like that a lot. Hate the dial.
Once my son settles in saskatoon my wife and family will soon follow and an f250 will be the first truck I will buy
They dropped the dual port injected 3.3 V6, what a shame... why dropped most reliable and basic engine??
Gm also dropped the 4.3
