Ahaha, great! I'm from Russia. At the end of summer, my wife and I went on vacation to relax, from St. Petersburg to the Black Sea, it’s about like you go from Anchorage in Alaska to California. I've driven 6,500 kilometers. Before the vacation, I watched local bloggers with the same videos: how it’s more convenient to travel, where it’s more profitable to refuel the car, where we stopped for the night... And then RUclips offers me to travel around America! Very interesting! It’s a pity your subtitles don’t work, I can’t understand what you’re saying by ear. In general, I have a day off, cognac, chocolate, ice cream and coffee. And a long journey across America. I like it!

I’ve grown up in Northern Jersey my whole life. So I’ve taken at least the NJ-PA section of this drive many, many times.
People from other states think Jersey is just the Turnpike and Airport, but we have really beautiful parks and greenery. Even the Pine Barrons down South are worth visiting.
Yes, we do live to our stereotypes in some ways, but there’s a lot of nice spots here!

For somebody from Europe this is also great to view. On the one hand it looks so familiar, and sometimes it's different. I have only driven (in the USA) from the airport in New Jersey to Manhattan, so everything is really new to me. What was surprising to see was how green de sides next to the highways are, just beautiful. In New Jersey the amount of lanes where 3 to 4 while there are only 2 lanes in Pennsylvania up until now. Furthermore it was very quiet on the road there on a Saturday (after the trafficjam) This was a great start of the overland tour, i will view the second part later. For now thanks, and best regards from the Netherlands.

@@carmenl163 like the other poster said, i80 will literally get you coast to coast. I’m pretty sure it runs from seaside NJ to San Fran.
Another good route is 80-44-40. That’ll bring you NY, PA, OH, IN, MO, OK, TX, NM, AZ, CA.
I70 goes pretty far cross country. Make sure to also drive route 50 in Nevada, the “loneliest road” in the USA. Do this during spring or fall if your car is iffy, as it gets HOT out there and you go dozens and dozens of miles without a rest stop.
There are some more routes that take you through the dakotas, Montana, Idaho.

Excellent! Excellent road trip, especially with your commentary! Many thanks! I watched some of the "speeded-up" version you posted, but I must confess to falling asleep halfway through Indiana, waking up in time for Colorado. I was supposed to be weeding the garden, but it was pouring out. As it was still raining, I switched to my favorite of your videos - your Oct. 29, 2021, scooter tour of Boston looking at Halloween decorations. Your reaction to the interior of the Boston Public Library is priceless. One thing I have always wondered about - while you were on Beacon Hill in Louisburg Square, your scooter fell over. It hit some dirt and wasn't damaged, but your phone landed on the granite paving. Was it damaged? I once dropped my Nikon camera in almost the same place. I had to replace the camera body. Anyway - again, many thanks for all your excellent videos!

Beautiful varied drive, we have the skyline of New York and the greenery of the mountains. Incredible how close New York is from The Appalachians, you can get in 1-2 hours, depending on traffic, from the city to great hiking areas. The traffic jam must have been annoying, you lost almost 1h there. Thanks for the video, look forward for the next ones, greetings from a road tripper from Germany!

Happy Wednesday night AK been kind of busy watching the hurricane we got lucky in Orlando just your typical thunderstorm. Tampa got flooded pretty good but you have to feel sorry for the people that lived up in the Big bend area. Just now watching part 1 and I'm not going to stop until we get to LA. That was something different coming out of NYC getting to New Jersey without going through the tunnel That's The first time I've seen that. Watching the retired rail fan videos of the Northeast corridor really familiar with Amtrak to Philadelphia and I know it goes across the Delaware just west of Trenton. Not too familiar with interstate 80 kept looking for East Rutherford where the Jets and Giants play I guess you were close to there but I did not see anything. Really love your road trips I love driving and seeing places I haven't been. Thank you so much for putting in the hard work so we can enjoy it with you

Just drove across the USA myself. What I learned is you have to stop about every 3 hours for gas & hit the bathroom & stretch your legs. So dont be afraid to drink water, you have to stop for gas & stretch anyway so dont be worried about needing to stop just to piss. "Love's" rest stops are a godsend. They are spaced out all along the major interstates. That plus Google Maps GPS makes the drive so much easier. It's so valuable if you take a wrong turn/get off the Interstate for whatever reason. Also for finding places to eat & hotels. The GPS and the fact there are Love's all along the interstate took away 80% of my stress. Makes the drive so much easier. I was able to do about 500 miles per day, 10 hour days. If you sleep very well you may be able to 12+, 600 miles.
Once you start yawning it seems you have an hour or so before you start nodding off at the wheel. It's a HORRIBLE feeling and very scary. Get a bottle of caffeine pills and take one if you start nodding, and find the nearest hotel and sleep. It may save your life
