Went to see these amazing women tonight in Glasgow and I can honestly say it was a privilege! I have no idea how they can sing like this, they each have the voice of an angel, they create emotion with every word and the way the hold themselves is truly inspiring, they are without doubt the best group to ever sing anywhere in the world, nothing comes close to these amazing women! If you think they sound amazing on cds or videos you have to see them live words just don't do justice to their amazing talent!

If I remember the song is about a Soldier returning home after a war. Most interpretations is that of a former Southern Solider from the American Civil War who is returning to a home that has been ravished by battle thus the line "The Ground feels the same, though the land has been torn" which many fields and farms properties in the American South became Battlefields. Also the original version of this song was played in the beginning of the movie "Gods and Generals" a prequel to "Gettysburg" in which many regimental flags from famous units in the Civil War were displayed.

Most interpretations is that of a former Southern Solider from the American Civil War who is returning to a home that has been ravished by battle thus the line "The Ground feels the same, though the land has been torn" which many fields and farms properties in the American South became Battlefields.
Also the original version of this song was played in the beginning of the movie "Gods and Generals" a prequel to "Gettysburg" in which many regimental flags from famous units in the Civil War were displayed.
