    I just finished building mine right now. I totally agree with the spread claws how annoying they were. But how intricate everything is makes it so satsifying! Getting the Shadow Fox next

    I absolutely love the HMM line to death, they are the definitive version of Zoids to me.
    I will say that while they don't need glue/cement, I highly recomend you glue anything that dosnt move on all Hmms.
    While I've never built the Liger Zero, I've heard it's one of the best in the line, best of all, it, the jeager, panzer, and schnider are all getting re released this may, I would highly recomend you pick them up now if you're going to as they have a tendency to shoot up in price once they're all sold out on the 2nd hand market.
    The only problem with getting the new "Marking Plus" versions (that just means they now come packaged with a large decal sheet) is that the originals came with a painted bit cloud mini figure but the new ones just come with regular pilots

      I agree about the gluing part, I’ve definitely started to glue down pieces that done move.
      I actually have a liger zero that unfortunately is missing some parts but I found the jager armor for a decent price so that should be coming in soon to replace the zeros armor. I also finished a Schneider kit so I’m hoping to review this soon!
      HAPPY BUILDING!

      I just picked one of these kits up. It looks awesome. Regarding cement , the instructions show certain parts requiring cement throughout so unlike the Bandai kits this is not strictly a snap fit model. Beautiful job on this one man!

    Fun fact about the Lightning Saix it was actually the very first Zoid being able to use the Strike Laser Claw before the Liger Zero in one of the Zoids Battle Story for the models.

    Absolutely love zoids chaotic century. Zaber Fang was my favorite before my eye's saw the Lightning Saix. Can't wait to build one myself.

    Does the joints too tight? Are they prone to breaking?

    What kind of red gundam marker did you use for panel lining this? It looks awesome but I'm having trouble finding a fine enough red gundam marker.

    • @Nerd_Squadron
      @Nerd_Squadron  2 года назад +1

      I used a red GSI Creos Gundam Marker! They aren’t fine tip though had to do some seriously cleaning after just to clean it up

      @@Nerd_Squadron I'm just getting into working with these. Did you use an eraser for cleaning the excess off or something else?

      First let me say welcome to the hobby!!! Hope u have a lot of time on your hands lol
      To remove any paneling ink I’ve always dipped a q tip in tamiyas X-20 paint thinner. Now those specific gundam markers is a bit of a paint to get off so I use it very very sparingly. Any black paneling ink I normally use a Tamiya blacking paneling ink, and that comes off very easily

    I had the old ones from early 2ks and I hate that they got trashed in moves. I had iron kong, elephander, Koenig wolf, dark spiner with the crab unit, and some smaller ones but sadly I could never get a liger type.

    If you're gonna get into airbrushing (which I think you should. It's a lot of extra work but it's very satisfying), some advice I can offer you is don't mix brands when youre combining paint with thinner. A createx paint combined with a Vallejo thinner (etc) will make the paint react badly and gum up. I find most airbrush specific paints to be spray ready right out of the bottle with a 0.5mm airgun, spraying around 25 psi

    • @Nerd_Squadron
      @Nerd_Squadron  3 года назад

      I’ve honestly went back and force about airbrushing, there’s a very big possibility I will though! Lol
      I appreciate the tips that helps ALOT

    I just bought the saber tiger yesterday! I almost got the lightning saix, but it was $20 more. But I’ve been building a lot of gunpla for the past two years. Zoids are almost double the price so I’m still nervous about jumping into these as well. Might have to snag a geno breaker and berserk fury and call it quits.

    • @Nerd_Squadron

      They’ve been pretty expensive these past few months but I also noticed the prices are goin down!
      I still have to finish my beserk fury, it’s about 80% done. Just gotta finished up the claws and wiring up the LEDS

    How did you cope up with that loose missile pod at its nape? Mine keeps popping of. Any suggestions?

    • @Nerd_Squadron
      @Nerd_Squadron  3 года назад

      Thank you! I appreciate that very much!
      So mine was loose as well but I noticed the armor piece located just above the middle pod wasn’t making full contact which led to the missile pod being loose. Try making sure that piece is firmly secured and snaps it place. It should help to keep the middle pod from being loose.

  • @ross2283
    @ross2283 3 года назад +1

    Sorry I'm a bit late to the video but I just wanted to say that I recently got into Zoids kits during quarantine and I think only the original releases of the kits have the named pilots. The Marking Plus versions and Repackage versions have generic pilots. I could be wrong though. Nice video either way.

    • @Nerd_Squadron
      @Nerd_Squadron  3 года назад

      Glad it helped you out during quarantine! It helped distracted me!
      So some kits are actually still being released with the anime pilots, I’ve been able to pick up a couple. Your correct on the marketing and repackaged versions containing a generic pilot, unfortunately when I bought mine the photos showed a Jack Cisco and a box cover art that didn’t have the marking or repackaged stamp.
      Could of been a mistake 🤷🏽‍♂️
