Is this the place where australias tuffest muscle cars go to hibernate when their not out on the roads? It is just an absolute pleasure to see they are still around and lovingly cared for and kept in a safe place keep up the great effort of keeping those cars alive.

At one stage I thought it was good to see these cars go up in value. But now that they are over a million dollars, even the none GT HO XY's go for a mint, you see less and less of these on the roads now as they are becoming "museum" type pieces. They were built to be driven and now they are just bought to be locked away and stored. Seems like it defeats its own purpose.

Oh man! The one thing I don't understand is why some people don't drive the cars? I have a 2013 Shelby GT500 and the only time I don't drive it here in Germany is during the winter. When we move to Spain in a few years, it will be driven all the time except when I know parking is limited, the I take my motorcycle.

When it comes to LC and LJ Torana's, how does this guy know if it's a one off paint and trim combo? When it came to theses models, GMH carried no production records for colours and trim combinations.
Paperwork from dealer when you bought it will have color!!

@@Romerosays yes but the receipt from car yard were car was bought would have model and colors and interior/exterior options ! So if that paperwork was kept you have proof for everything! It does not matter what records gmh kept! I bought a 2017 mustang new and it has all the information on the car! Color ,options, vins and engine numbers ect! Don't matter what Ford has! So you can prove original color and interior options 40 years later!
@@baddazzgarage2953 You're missing my point! Yes you don't need the dealer paper work to prove the colour combo, the main identification tag tells you everything. But neither the dealer info, or the ID tag does not specify how many cars were made in that colour combination. My question was how does this bloke know that the car mentioned (pink LJ) was a one off? He doesn't, GMH could have made 1-10 or more other than this one in the video.
Interesting when a Falcon is more desirable than A BM or a Merc from the same era. But then again no one lusts after old cars that rich snobs used to drive.

@@knackerbags5994 ..You do not know anything on this quite obviously ..Do your research about the Phase 3 GTHO and you'll find out it wasn't any taxi ...It was essentially built as a full on race car in 1971 and reportedly hit 161 mph in practice at Bathurst ..This is almost 50 years ago...That's fast now , let alone in 1971...Get educated before you comment ...
