That's not quite the same as filming them while looking through their window though. I'm glad you became friends. Some of my favorite experiences have been when I asked a stranger to share a table at a restaurant or invited them to go to something I had an extra ticket for.
I hate people who work from home. There's nothing worse than calling the doctor's "office" just to hear the receptionists kids screaming in the background 😡
@since1876 Maybe the receptionist at the Dr was given a choice by her employer to work from home bc her child was sick or the babysitter wasn't available. The work from home option gave the mother the opportunity to care for her little one and still do her job. Or maybe she was at the office and someone there had a crying child. Hate is a very strong word. Kindness and understanding go much further.🥰
@@mialovesladybugs hire another babysitter. I'm not sympathetic to people with children. I'm a teacher. My office is my classroom and I don't want to be friends with 9 and 10 year olds. And teachers tend to reside in cliques. I would love to work from home and become friends with a neighbors.
Why in the world would a person want to be friends with a stranger who's first thoughts upon seeing them are "How can I use this person for internet content?" The lady's reaction to her nonsense was WAY nicer than it needed to be.
My neighbor and I became friends. She saw my office hoodie and said that she liked it. I was pregnant and I knew that one day we would be friends... a year later she gave birth to a girl as well and now we have play dates. 100% agree. Makes you not want to be in the public sphere anymore to avoid becoming someone's unauthorised content and permanently, randomly cirvulsting the inyernet in that capture forever more. Europe prohibits filming privatr citizens in the pibluc sphere without their consent. USA should too. Besides being downright rude, insensitive, shameless, disrespectful and crazy.
@@ana419 Pointing a camera into someone’s property is a bizarre thing to do. How anyone can possibly think it’s OK is beyond me. Short of opening a person’s door and walking in uninvited, I can’t think of anything more intrusive. If I was the person being filmed here, I’d be calling the cops in a heartbeat! Unfortunately, when it comes to public filming such as on the street, the law says you have no expectation of privacy. This is true in the US and in the UK, where I live. Despite what some people think though, shops, shopping malls, gyms and private businesses can legally prevent someone from filming. In my opinion, if they can do that, then they absolutely should do that! Even on the street, if someone persistently films you despite being asked not to, and it’s to the point where it causes distress or alarm, a case can be made for harassment or stalking. That being said, good luck getting a cop to attend in the first place and get one who is conversant with that law.

Interesting how we encourage people to stop being so chronically online, step out of their comfort zones, and actually interact with the people around them, but then when they try (albeit badly, due to poorly developed social skills) we just mock their attempts? @@CrisTPST2 Oh yeah, I totally agree that she misstepped. That is the point I'm making when I say people need to stop being so chronically online and embrace in person interactions. She not only filmed her without consent, she broadcast where she works alone to the whole neighbourhood. Best to find her door, knock on it, introduce yourself, ask if she wants an occasional lunch break together outdoors or in a local cafe, keep a potential friendship personal.
On private property such as in a mall or store it's up to the owner to stop it. At most it would be trespassing and you'd get banned from the place. In public it's free speech and cannot carry any penalty. Anything in view from public property or your own property, such as the exterior of the house, is also allowed to be filmed. Again, free speech. The only exception is if you are trying to film the inside of a room window that has a reasonable expectation of privacy, such as a bathroom. World of us introverts isn't mysterious at all, we just need less social interactions. Though in periods of depression or extreme low energy, sadness and such, we are those who need people around the most.
I don't know if you're really introverted or just a loner / someone who likes to stay at home
@@kirakira9906 I agree with you it's not mysterious as we are just people like everyone else. especially that Introverts like all people have a natural human desire to connect with people who can relate and accept you for who you are especially in hard times like you mentioned..I just thought it would make a funny joke based on the video because I imagine that from an extroverts perspective the life of an introvert would seem so mysterious as they often find us weird so I found it comical the way she tried so hard going out of her way to socialize with someone who clearly was comfortable at home in their safe space. Not demonstrating any desire to socialize. Possibly recharging from forced social interactions the world of adulting often creates.. Did you get that part of the joke?

I work from home. It's so nice not being around people all day!!!
I hate people who work from home. There's nothing worse than calling the doctor's "office" just to hear the receptionists kids screaming in the background 😡
@since1876
Maybe the receptionist at the Dr was given a choice by her employer to work from home bc her child was sick or the babysitter wasn't available.
If a person makes the decision to create a child then it's that person's obligation to take care of the thing they created. Sometimes, that might mean being financially burdened. Love is cool but it doesn't get anything done. Which, actually, is something it has in common with people who work from home. Statistically speaking, people who work from home do significantly less work than people who work from the office. There are some highly motivated people in the world but not many people are as motivated as they think they are.

Making friends in the office is bs, there's nothing but drama, people talking behind each other's back, guys who won't leave you alone, clients who stock and the scary walk to your vehicle in the dark at the end of the night.
You didn’t think this through… it might be all the things you mentioned not liking… except you can’t go home to get away from them, because they live next door.

No one would be so rude to write a sign like the last one. I'd bet Lorena Bobbit one more sausage that this is fake.
People have little or no understanding, or even conception of boundaries and privacy these days. It's disturbing!
100% agree. Makes you not want to be in the public sphere anymore to avoid becoming someone's unauthorised content and permanently, randomly cirvulsting the inyernet in that capture forever more.
Europe prohibits filming privatr citizens in the pibluc sphere without their consent. USA should too. Not only is it a violation of privacy, with facial recognition these days, it is identity theft, among a slew of other ethical and legal violations.
So true and it’s scarey af😮

Interesting how we encourage people to stop being so chronically online, step out of their comfort zones, and actually interact with the people around them, but then when they try (albeit badly, due to poorly developed social skills) we just mock their attempts? That seems unfair and counterproductive to me.
Well I think she lost our sympathy when she posted it on the internet too when that neighbor obviously didn't want to be filmed and she still decided to put it on the internet for everyone to see. At least she could have blurred her face, but clout and likes are more important for her
Not to mention that she doxed where they both are staying with that street sign. She put both the neighbor and herself in danger.
@@CrisTPST2 Oh yeah, I totally agree that she misstepped. That is the point I'm making when I say people need to stop being so chronically online and embrace in person interactions. She is a product of our Internet culture with her need for online attention and lack of understanding of basic etiquette and safety. Her attempt was clumsy and naive, and posting it was probably something habitual, but I still can't fault her for trying to connect with a neighbor. Hopefully she learns from her mistake and tried again in a more normal way, and without a camera. 😅
She literally did this for internet attention… don’t think it quite counts as ‘trying to stop being chronically online’

She seems like the type of friend who is actually just hard work.
Not everyone works from home by choice. I agree that folming a stranger without their consent is NOT okay though. Should've just brought her cookies or something.
These people are freaking out over a video from 100 feet away. Can you imagine if she knocked on Morgan's door with cookies and said, "Hey, I've been watching you through my window and noticed that you're all alone. Wanna be friends?". Someone's going to call the cops. LOL
"I see you work from home too, wanna be friends?"
*Aims rifle*
I don't think I'd ever fully recover if my neighbor rejected me that hard 😅
She not only filmed her without consent, she broadcast where she works alone to the whole neighbourhood. Best to find her door, knock on it, introduce yourself, ask if she wants an occasional lunch break together outdoors or in a local cafe, keep a potential friendship personal.
People filming others need to be charged with some form of a crime. Its getting out of hand.
So no, in this instance filming should not be a crime, and we already have laws covering all situations. You can close the blinds, like any normal person. Or have frosted windows. Your call.
@@massimo4307So you need to live in darkness because other people can’t be expected to not film inside your house. That’s a fucked up view on how people should interact with one another. Very self centered and completely ignoring anyone else’s needs.
@@JanasViLoegg You can have any light you want on. But if it's viewable from public property, you don't have a right to not be filmed. If you don't like it, go live in the middle of the woods away from society. What's self-centered is you, bud.

The only way to do that is a massive protest, like in 2020 and it will work.

This reminds me of how I once wrote a sign to a neighbour, but it ended better.
Their roof window was open and it was raining really bad so I wrote a sign: "Your window is open" and sticked it to my window.
Later when I looked out of my window again, their roof window was closed and the window downstairs had a sign with: "Thanks!"

the "I see you're working from home too" gave me some anxiety
I keep my blinds closed until I get a house where I can't see my neighbors
We all know they are friends now. This is how an introvert gets friends. Extrovert finds them. Introvert tries to ignore Extrovert. But before they know it, they are someone's BFF. 😂
