2015-2020 Yukon - Service Rear Vision System - FIXED!

Have you gotten the dreaded blue screen with those awful words, "Service Rear Vision System"?
If you have a Yukon, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, or Silverado this video might fix your issue.
NOTE: If your camera issn't working check your reverse lights. Mine were not working along with the camera. That's what lead me to the fuse block under the hood.

Thanks for posting. I occasionally get this message and was going to start by replacing the camera. Somehow, I knew it wouldn't be that easy though. Your video may save me hours of chasing.

You don't need to brea😢k any clips to remove the camera. The latch plate cover pops off easily. Reach in with a long prybar, pop the white electrical connector off of the tailgate - no need now to disconnect the wires, just get it off of the gate. Drill a 1/4 inch hole angled 45 degrees to the left in the old camera 1/2 inch to the left of the lens. Insert a small hooked probe and pull. Your camera comes out with the connector attached. Got mine at GM for $109. Tried an aftermarket first, and it didn’t work well.

Could you have replaced the relay instead of the whole fuse box?

@@ChristianinChicago just saw your comment. I’m not sure to be honest. If they’re not glued in and you can find a direct replacement and you know which one it is….maybe? I didn’t try. Just replaced the whole deal.

Yes you can pull both fuses and relays out, auto parts stores sell both. If you look at the fuse box cover, if you look at the inside of the cover, it tells what each one goes to.
